A good sequel that could also serve as a standalone.
Earth is in ruins and chaos and anarchy reigns in most parts of the world. The alien nano organism encountered on the interstellar visitor, Malihini, has been set loose on the planet and a world wide pandemic or transcendence is ripping the world apart.
This has been very well researched and written pandemic sci-fi thriller just like the first book, I recommend it.

Splended 2nd episode
Still including needless profanity but again, not R rated.
Really cool the way the book relates to current or recent-day events and even suggests today's leader's characteristics. [Spoiler omitted *grin*] Fundamental American values are there, "fairness and liberty for everyone", but religion and social structures really get twisted, it seems to me.
I wonder why sci-fi and fantasy so often like to include us 'religious fanatics' *chuckle, chuckle*, and seldom or never favorably? Anyway, conservative and Liberal seemed reversed from what I'd expect to happen. Politics are irrelevant, that is, ALL government (leaders, police, military) are evil. Strange. And, as always, there's divine *science*. But fake news is alive and sick. Sound like anarchy? But, this is fantasy fiction. And holds you attention.
Note: lots of characters! Pay attention or make notes.

Not as good as the first book. Weirdly this is the second book I’ve read this month where human beings take on features of animals and monsters. Unfortunately, this one did not explain why an alien pathogen would do this. I don’t need my sci-fi to be hard, but I do like there to be a plausible reason for what happens—even if fantastical.

This book lacked proper editing. There were several typos and grammatical errors. Looking past the grammatical issues. This book moved quickly from science fiction to fantasy. The alien virus seemingly randomly killed some people while mutating others without reason or logic. The ending wasn't an ending at all, leaving bone to wonder if it was intended to continue into a sequel.

The dialogue is really bad, surprising since it was passable in book 1. I've been wondering if it was translated, like a badly dubbed anime, or written by someone with English as a second language.
The concept is excellent, has lots of potential, it's what's keeping me going, despite the boiled potato dialogue. To be fair, it could also be the audiobook narrator's fault.

Ok
I wonder if there may not have been too many story lines involving different characters that never come together. I am not sure what to make of the ending. It just dropped off with no indication of whether there is another on in the series. For those considering this book, I will say that it is not necessary to first read the first book. Overall a good but not great book.

Pretty Good For A Book 2
I don't normally enjoy Book 2 or 3 and so forth,of any series.However, Vector,the continuation of the Visitor,was top notch.
I read it non-stop ,and can't wait to start on the next series.
I hope there will be good times for Cassie because I really think she has suffered enough.

Excellent first contact
There are lots of twist and turns in this one. A lot of action, conspiracy and intrigue too. The alien organism is not the only source of problems on Earth. Good book.

Covid 19 on steroids
Very attached to the many personalities and will think about the book for a wile no doubt. I would definitely enjoy book 3 if you produce it for sure. I’m am feeling rather left hanging on the edge at this point.

The author is really wacked out about how things work...I did finish this book but not going to bother with the last mess written for this trilogy...and the last 3rd of the book I had to speed read to get through it

I did enjoy this sci fi fantasy story, the second in the series. An alien bug, or is it? An interesting plotline, diverse selection of characters, over all not a bad read!

Mid apocalyptic page turner. Multiple stories played out at once keeps the reading fun. Hope I die before too much more of the earlier story comes true!

confusing and disappointing
The first book set up a good world for the next. This one however meandered around with storylines that, to me, did not connect or add to the book.
