Hermione didn't know how to get over the war. She thought returning to Hogwarts would help but after a break down the most unlikely person helped her up and taught her that it was ok to not be ok.
Personally I think there wasn’t a very captivating plot here. It started out well, but there was little conflict and it seemed rushed. Nothing major happened until a few chapters before the end and while it definitely was something, i felt it could’ve been expanded on much more.
I liked the friendships that develop, but I personally like a little angst in my fics and there wasn’t much of it.
Overall, I’m not mad that I read it, it was a fairly quick read, but it’s not a favorite of mine and it’s not one I would go out of my way to recommend.
I feel like my rating for this fic is so high because I was craving a read like this. It's a short fic where the Slytherins and Gryffindors all end up being friends and there's a lot of cute moments between the groups. This isn't a real enemies to lovers fic, which I normally go for, but I did love how sweet, simple, and short it was when I read it. Definitely recommend reading after an intense/emotional book or fic.
Classica ff dramione 8th year.
10/10, was an adorable short story. i genuinely don’t hav anything bad to say about it. it had good representation of trauma/ptsd and how ppl cope with it. it had a simple storyline and wasn’t confusing to follow. i will definitely be reading again. also so glad that theo wasn’t killed off lol
I loved this story. I wish it was longer, bc that felt way to quick. The yearning & tension between Draco and Hermione... I can't put into words how obsessed I am over them.
A story about second chances. About a muggle born witch and the son of a Death Eater sharing a drink by the lake.
The truth is that I'm not going to go into the romance part of the story. The important bit here is friendship.
Going back to Hogwarts after the war isn't Hermione's best idea of a plan, but she does it anyway. But the rest of those who come back, well they don't have it so easy. The Slytherins aren't having the greatest of times, but then again, she isn't as well. And that's where a friendship slowly starts to bloom, through second chances, and of course, a beautiful romance.
In general terms, the story is a bit basic, the conflict is pretty much social-school-related, but other than that, I really liked how the redemption story panned out. They were KIDS FOR CHRIST'S SAKE. The inside jokes, the friendship between Gryffindor and Slytherin instead of their never-ending conflict was pretty great. It felt nice to see this side of the story, the possibility of all that Rowling never managed to come through with.
Besides, the way the title of this fic is shown in the story, through a speech given by McGonagall left me with tears in my eyes.
I recommend this fic if you're looking for a light read with feelings.
