Dark Fate #7

Preparations

Rate this book
Time grows short for Zayn Greene, and his plans. The projected arrival of the first aliens after the System Apocalypse is only months away. In his last timeline (the last he remembers, anyways), the arrival of the pirates and slavers who first scouted Earth was the beginning of the end. The aliens, finding rich feeding grounds, called for their friends, and chaos ensued as rival warbands began invading and claiming parts of the earth, regardless of what their human slaves might think about that.

Of course, Zayn has been through that before, and did not much care for the experience. But one man can't stop the tide from turning. If he's going to keep out of the hands of the warbands who conquered it last time, then he needs to buy time for the people of Earth to adjust to the System, and grow stronger, so they can help themselves. That means he needs to make sure that the first few scouts never report back.

He's got a lot of work to do, and not a lot of time to do it in. Fortunately, he isn't alone. With his harem of pets, his daughter from an alternate future, and his growing force of enslaved minions, Zayn has help, this time through. But will it be enough?

----------------------

Author's Note: This is a story set in a world where everything we knew suddenly got turned upside down by a System coming online. This is not a tale of heroics. This is the tale of a man who has chosen to throw away his humanity and embrace his inner demon, to put himself beyond betrayal. This story features cursing, gore, enslavement, mind control, non-consensual acts, and more. If you were hoping for a tale of a white knight in the midst of the apocalypse, you're going to be disappointed. If you have triggers, consider this your warning.

I'm a rookie author, looking to write stories that I enjoy writing. Not gonna get awards, but honestly, I'm happy with each and every person that reads my work.

Stuart is a sci-fi and anime geek, who dabbles in tabletop and video gaming. He enjoys cosplaying and has gone to DragonCon annually since 2009. Frozen Soul is his first book.

It is a sad, sad day when you finally break down and realize that you will never have the life you wanted, never do the things you wished to do, and never see the things you wanted to see. All because of a stupid lack of lightsabers.

I was a 26 y/o college student at Armstrong Atlantic State University, as a theater major. Went to school for a while before, dropped out, tried to go back, dropped out.. Not much to say other than the fact that I'm a laid back guy, and the only drama I like is the kind that's on the stage.

If I act like an idiot, or do anything to offend you, chances are it is not intentional, and I'm being oblivious. In that case, hit me upside the head, and tell me, because I don't catch subtle hints.

Ooookay!!!

I do like the books I enjoy the story, buuut!!
Do we always have to read the character sheets at the end every time?!?! We are told each time he goes to buy something,
1) The item
2) cost of said item
3) description of said item
See how many times i put item??? Did it start to annoy you reading it, I know I got annoyed typing it!! So why do we have to read it all and then get a full rundown of the Item, once he chose which one he was going to have, to then have the last 24 pages go through it all again, at the end of the book as part of the character's sheet?!?!?!?!
I do like the story, but when is the next one due out?? Are we now just left to twiddle our fingers and thumbs and just take a guess?!?! And instead of 7 books, all under or around 90 pages of readable content (minus the MC's sheet) did he not just put them all into just 2 novels?? I much prefer that, as I'm a big girl now and i know how to read books with more than 300 pages to them!! You're just getting right into the book and then it's at the end (again!!) With yet again.....yep you guessed it....the MC's character sheet!! Ghhhaggg!!! I would give more stars of not for the religion going on and yes it's ironic that it's something I'm going on about, but hey ho!!! Happy reading guys n gals :0(>

Good story, ends page 98 of 131 pages

I enjoy this authors work, I hate the way his short novels are padded with appendix and stats copy and pasted from previous works... All his books do that. Here at book 7 21% of the book is dramatist personal and the mc character sheet. With kindle unlimited paying buy pages turned, well him doing this just looks bad. But with 60 short stories published now, I don't expect him to change even though it was suggested use a hyperlink to display copy pasted appendix. Annoying as hell when book 20 of his other series has the appendix so big it's over 50% of the book. So 3 stars is the highest he will get as long as he continues this greedy idiocy to bloat KU page turns.

I'm not saying it was aliens, but it was aliens.

What do you do when slavers are coming for you, and you'd rather remain the slave-master instead of the slve? It's obvious: you trap them. With aliens to run your new toys.

Standard fare with not much meat on the bone.

Even for this series, which is a bunch of little releases combining into one mega story, this is lite. This whole thing feels like a coup!e of chapters from a real release. Like he just wanted something out out with the name on it.

Another great story over too soon and now that’s have to wait for the next book in the series, more plot in this book and more world building not so much sexy times as in other books.

The plot thickens

This one is more of a slow burn but still moves the story along, I can't wait to see were the story goes from here.
