Traced is the 2nd book in author Samantha Wilde's "Blood Brother" series.
This is Tessa and Dare's story. Tessa has a few days to sell her father's gold bars or the dangerous group he is involved with will kill him and then her. She turns to black market dealer Dare who initially refuses to help her but he can't get Tessa off his mind.
Their chemistry ignites and becomes scorching hot!
An erotic romance with non-stop action and suspense.

Thank you to Book Sirens and the author for a copy of this novel in exchange for my honest review.

I haven't read book 1, but didn't feel it was necessary to enjoy this one.

Tessa needs Dare to sell her father's gold, and Dare's reluctant at first. Lots of chemistry and heat between these two, plus adventure and danger. And Dare's got yummy brothers (book 1 was one of them). Her dad.....hhhmmm.

I almost put this one down cause it was reminding me of the series Kings of the Castle which annoyed me and stopped reading about book 3 or 4. Then the preview of the next book which is book 1's heroine's brother is reminding me of Operation Mayhem Box Set which I did enjoy. I guess will have to wait and see.

💋💋

Let me start by saying I missed the first in this series so I’m coming in part way through, finding my way through a maze of storylines that have already started, or are linked to the first book.

That cleared up, this book was interesting, it wasn’t too hard to find my way once I got started.
I enjoyed the characters and the chemistry they created between them, working out the family connections and the how the storyline panned out.

It was tense and enjoyable reading, but in parts left me feeling as though I was out on a limb, that’s probably lack of knowledge on my part.
The brothers have a close bond and this showed well throughout the book, I really want to read others in the series now, I found It was well written and Wasn’t for the faint or heart.

I received an Arc copy of this book and chose to post this review

I couldn’t set this book down! It was sassy, sexy and intriguing! I loved that Tess thought for herself and made her own decisions. Her and Dares relationship progressed steadily but not too fast. I enjoyed their banter and that she was originally apprehensive of him. I also enjoyed the plot and how it wasn’t super predictable. There were some curveballs that I didn’t see coming. On top of that Tess went through some real stuff. Where even I was like??? Where is the white knight!! Overall very fun read and would read again!

Tessa's father has run into trouble. In order to save him, she teams up with the sexy Dare. Their chemistry is explosive, but can they survive long enough to have a future together?

I really enjoyed this read, much to my surprise. It definitely surpassed my expectations. Having not read book 1, I had absolutely no clue what I was getting myself into, but I couldn't be happier with the results.

There's nothing I can fault this book for. It was fun, it was easy and I thought the romance was just to die for. I loved both of our main characters, Tessa and Dare. Tessa is a survivor, she may not seem it, but she has a badass streak in her which I absolutely love. She can take care of herself and fight her battles straight on. And Dare? Oh boy did I adore this man. He was so sweet, yet so sexy. His dangerous lifestyle mixed with his feeling for Tess made for the perfect cocktail.

I will definitely be keeping an eye on this series in the future!

I volunteered to review an ARC of this book for NetGalley

TRACED is the second instalment in Samantha Wilde’s contemporary, adult BLOOD BROTHERS erotic, romantic suspense series. This is black market dealer Dare Holmes, and yoga studio owner Tessa George’s story line. TRACED can be read as a stand alone but for back story I recommend reading the series in order.

Told from dual third person perspectives (Dare and Tessa) TRACED follows Tessa George, as she is tasked by her father, to locate and cash in millions of dollars in gold bars but Tessa’s father is in hiding, having betrayed the group of which he is a member. Lionsgate represents a portion of the criminal underworld involved in money laundering, human trafficking and illegal arms dealing, and Tessa’s father needs his daughter’s help, help that she is ill-equipped to manage. Enter black market dealer Dare Holmes, and the man with whom Tessa will fall in love. What ensues is the search for the gold, and the potential fall-out as both Tessa and Dare find themselves targeted for sins of the father.

Tessa George has no idea how deep her father’s involvement goes with the criminal organization known as Lionsgate but when her best friend Lexi’s father is killed and her brother is missing (BOUND #1), Tessa goes to Lexi and her boyfriend for help. Dare Holmes wants nothing to do with Tessa George, especially when he discovers her father’s involvement with the Lionsgate group but Tessa is in over her head having not once but twice been targeted by some very scary men. Reluctantly agreeing to help Tessa George, Dare quickly realizes they have bitten off more than they can chew.

The relationship between Tessa and Dare begins as a job, a job Dare refuses until Tessa finds herself facing the wrong end of a gun. Desperate to protect the woman with whom he is falling in love, Dare is forced to into a job that could threaten the job he loves but as Dare and Tessa are pulled deeper into the criminal underworld, Tessa will soon discover that all is not as it appears to be. Stubborn ‘til the end, Tessa refuses to walk away when the going gets tough. The $ex scenes are intimate and intense without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

The colorful and energetic secondary and supporting characters include Dare’s brother Nash, and his girlfriend Lexi (Bound #1), as well as Tessa’s father Warren George and his right hand man Trey. The requisite evil has many faces.

TRACED is a story of betrayal, secrets and lies; power and control, family, friendships, relationships and love. The fast paced premise is intriguing and twisted; the characters are animated and spirited; the romance is provocative and seductive.

Thank you to the very sweet Samantha Wilde for providing me with an ARC of this book. I am willingly leaving this honest review.

4.5 Stars!

Traced follows the story of the next Holmes brother, Dare, who just might be my favorite brother yet (I am sorry Nash, I really love you, too). Although the brothers are all deadly, dangerous (and sexy as hell), they each have a distinct personality to them that really keeps me hooked from start to end without getting bored/feeling repetitive. While Nash and Lexi's story was all intense hide and seek and passionate enemies to lovers trope, Dare and Tess's story was a slow-burn, almost forbidden kind of romance that made me wanting more. I love how Tess is not a helpless damsel in distress, I love how Dare is so respectful of women (just like Nash, it really must be a Holmes trait), I love how both of them just breathed so much life to this story.

The storyline continues from the first book, Bound, so it would be great if you read that before reading this one because things will make so much more sense. But I feel like even if you read this as a standalone, it would still be amazing and a totally enjoyable read. The story progresses at a great pace and has so many swoon-worthy and sexy elements to it that you will never get bored of, I assure you. The story itself is well thought-out and has a depth and feeling to it, which I love. Like I said about the first book, this one would look super great as a live-action film! The author made me feel like I was right along with Dare and Tess, feeling the grief and the trauma and fear... and all the love, too.

I do not want to mention all my favorite amazing moments/scenes in the book and spoil it for everyone, but if you are wondering whether you should read this or not, think no further! This book is SO worth everyone's time. Samantha Wilde will have you hooked to her words right from the get-go.

This is the second book of this series I have read in relation to the Brotherhood.

Traced features Dare - older brother of Nash who featured in the previous book. Soon after we first meet Dare he’s in the apartment of Tessa, yoga instructor and business owner daughter of Warren an ex-member of Lionsgate. Tessa believes Warren has gone to ground (presumed murdered) after some business dealings but can't think of what they might involve given Warren is a retired real estate developer. Never mind the fact he's left her gold bullion to sell on the black market. Dare is the man who's been suggested to help her sell them.

Dare and his brothers are spies, hackers, enforcers using their powers largely for good, bar the occasional murder here and there. Tessa manages to put this aside, however as they sell some gold then work together to try and get rid of the rest of it, whilst trying to figure out what has happened to Warren.

There's occasional instances of steam, but underneath it all Dare is a man with a sad history of trauma, who wants to be loved. Tessa is an only child, spoiled and indulged, but she doesn't see it that way, and is rather naive and oblivious. She does some remarkably stupid and naive things that only spoiled and indulged people would do. But Dare loves it, and loves her for some reason that fails to occur to me. She's pretty tough towards the end, and manages to not breathe or practice one bit of yoga throughout the whole book, leaving it all to a staff member as only the spoiled and indulged would do.

There's guns, computer hacking, break and enters, violence (but for mind it's a bit slapstickish) particularly on one occasion when Dare falls from a tree. when trying to save the day. In all, this was a fun read, that probably didn't hit me with the intensity or the tightness of plot of the previous book. I still enjoyed it and would read any more books in the series.

Thanks to NetGalley for this ARC.

"Traced" is book 2 in Samantha's Wilde's funny, sexy and suspenseful Blood Brothers series! After an amazing Book 1 "Bound" where we meet Nash and Lexie this book had a lot to live up to! I am so pleased to say that Dare and Tessa's book Traced is just as amazing! Bound still has my favourite ever first chapter so if you haven't read it DO IT NOW! Traced though manages to weave a complex story love, betrayal and the infamous Lionsgate we met in book 1.

This book tells the story of Dare (Nash's brother from book 1) and Tessa a new found friend of Lexie's. who is in trouble.... big trouble. After her father disappears and asks her to sell some assets she needs a blackmarket dealer enter DARE!

Things I loved about this book:
- characters were amazingly well written, deep and relatable (or as much as you can relate to a blackmarket dealer!)
- Amazing to see Nash and Lexie again from book 1
- I am unfortunately really good at picking the bad guy and the big twist/s and this just kept moving at a cracking pace and I was luckily surprised!
- secondary characters were intriguing and I am hoping we see Cole's book coming soon!
- The story itself was well written and the issues were believable.

Things I didn't like:
- If i am being really picky then Tessa was sometimes frustrating when she wouldn't listen to Dare and his expertise!

I am so excited and can't wait to Brooks' (Lexie's missing brother!) book "Unchained" comes out!!! This series is amazing and I can reread over and over!

I absolutely loved Traced! Seriously non-stop action from page one. Both this book’s storyline as well as the series story arc are super interesting. There’s a ton of suspense and intrigue and the turns keep piling up. The character development is fantastic. Tess is super sassy and is not a girl used to being bossed around. Dare is super smart, sexy, and is a man that is always in control and the last thing he can control is Tess. It makes for some super hot chemistry between the two of them as they try to navigate the deadly pitfalls placed by Lionsgate. Lots of action. Tons of hot smexy… a really awesome series! I really can’t wait to see where she goes next with the story!

Story: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Trope: Enemies to lovers
Angst: 😰😰
Smexy: 🔥🔥🔥
Triggers: assault; waterboarding

The second book in the Blood Brothers, Bound brings us Dare Holmes and Tessa George’s story. Dare is a black market dealer and Tessa the owner/operator of a yoga studio, and when Tessa seek help from Lexi and Nash (Dare’s brother) a series of events are put in motion that will result in things being worse than first thought. Deceit, betrayal, friendship, and romance, Traced is a fast paced, well delivered story and a great sequel to Bound.

This was my first Wilde novel and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I feel like I want to go back and read book 1 because I just love Lexi and her hot husband. Their cameos in this book are so sweet, I just want to get to know them more! That being said, this novel could absolutely be read as a stand alone and not having read book 1 did not affect my understanding in any way.

Where do I begin?

This is a fast paced, steamy 🔥, suspenseful read where a new thing seems to happen in every chapter.

Plot: Tess is desperate to sell the gold her father left her. When she manages to find a black market dealer, she finds that she’s signed up for more than she’d ever expected.

Date is an alpha: he is dominant, strong and powerful. I can’t find a single fault in his character. The man is drool worthy and decides he’s going to help sell Tess’ gold.

Things get complicated when there are multiple attempts at Tess’ life, kidnappings and illegal arms deals. Tess and Dare don’t know who to trust while struggling to stay alive.

This book was such a joy. I loved how fast paced, smutty and adrenaline-filled this book was. The characters are well thought out and loveable. Their relationship development is realistic and absolutely adored the epilogue.

I have deducted one star because I found Tess incredibly irritating at times. She has no prior experience of combat etc but always, very stubbornly, wanted to be involved in the dangerous action. She caused a number of problems for Dare and I know she needs to be involved as the main character…but damn it- I wish she was a little more sensible.

This doesn’t mean that I didn’t love her and Dare as a couple of course. I will definitely be reading book 3 to find out what has happened to Lexi’s missing brother.

Another amazing read! From the very first chapter this book grabs your attention and keeps you engaged throughout. The undescribable chemistry that dare and Tessa have is out of this world and leaves you begging for more. If you are looking for an action-packed, intriguing, suspenseful book, this is it! Unchained, the next book in this series, cannot be released soon enough!!

Great romantic suspense plot
but let down by the characters

Traced is book 2 in the Blood brothers series but can be read as a standalone. The book had a great romantic suspense plot but is somewhat let down by an unthinking, stubborn heroine and an underlying theme that life is black and white. Good and evil are easily discerned, and that legal and moral are synonyms.

Tessa has to sell some gold bars on behalf of her father, who has fled danger and an attempt on his life. Selling the gold thus needs to happen in the black market, which is where Dare comes in. He fences goods for a living and is a great hacker to boot. The action in the book is fast-paced, and the chemistry between our main characters are explosive. These are all elements of a good book, in my opinion.

However, Tessa never seems to learn the value of good teamwork. Although they always make it out of tight situations (this is a story, after all), her insistence on being an independent woman and doing what she wants becomes a bit over the top. Any intelligent woman knows when they are out of their depth. Add to this the fact that the author seemed convinced that Dare needs to mend his ways before he can be good enough for Tessa, and you have a book that irks me just a little too much. Yes, going around killing people (in self-defence) may not be the best life, but neither is changing who you are and what you enjoy just because others view it as unsavoury.

I enjoyed this book and thought it followed on well from the first book, though in character not storyline. In that regard there was no link whatsoever but it was nice to see then or there and Lexi in this story too.

The story was full of suspense and not predicatable, in fact I found myself quite surprised by some of the twists and turns.

Poss spoiler alert….

The characters were interesting and Dare certainly was true to form from how he had been described in the first book. Tess was a good fit for him though I did find her exasperating at times, her actions belying the fact she was apparently desperate to compete the task her father had given her, in fact what she did in the club trying to deliberately annoy Date and ending up with Ralph totally went against getting the job done she had been so desperate to get Dare’s help for. Otherwise though she came across as strong minded.

A good read I would recommend.

Excited to get back to what happened to Brooks in the next book

Traced, the second book in the Blood Brothers Series, turns up the heat with the story of Tessa George and Dare Holmes. When Tessa finds herself in a troubling situation, she uses her connections to find a black-market dealer to help her sell gold her father has left behind.

Enter hottie Dare Holmes. Dare lives life on the wrong side of the law and tries to keep away from Tessa. But when he walks in on Tessa’s troubling situation turning downright dangerous, he can’t just turn his back on her.

Working together to sell the gold, Tessa and Dare enter an underground world that’s not only shocking but tied to the elusive Lionsgate. An organization that’s committed some of the worst crimes imaginable. While they struggle to stay one step ahead of the people who not only want to take their gold, but their lives, sexual tension and off-the-charts chemistry ignites.

This book combines a head-strong and feisty heroine with a bad-ass hearo with a heart of gold. Throw in action-packed thrills and twists you’ll never see coming, and you have an incredible book you’ll never be able to put down!

I love this series! I thought the first book in the series, Bound, was action-packed but holy smokes, I think Traced is even more thrilling with all the non-stop action, danger, mystery and twists and turns! Tess and Dare have chemistry in spades and their connection is palpable. I love a slow burn romance that allows the characters to become so obsessed with each other that when they finally get together it's explosive and let me tell you, Tess and Dare are explosive together. Like the first book in this series, Tess is a strong, brave and courageous young woman and Dare is her perfect alpha partner. Well written and well developed characters, nice pace to the plot and passionate chemistry. In my opinion, this read had all the elements that make it the perfect romantic suspense. I'm looking forward to Unchained and finally finding out what happened to Brooks. Another winning read from Ms. Wilde. I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC for NetGalley.

This is the second book in this series and just like the first it is a roller coaster ride that take you along for the thrills. there is plenty of drama and suspense and of course red hot romance to keep you turning the pages

Tess usually tries to stay out of her fathers business dealings but with Lionsgate Kinship threatening to kill him she needs to sell his gold and give the money to them The only person who can help her is Dare a black market seller. he initially turns her down and walks away but cannot stay away he returns to ask more question only to find her been tortured. Soon he is dragged into the drama surrounding her and her father Meanwhile the attraction between them is a slow burn that you just know is going to explode and when it does it will ignite the pages I highly recommend this book and even though you don't need to read book one "Bound" i would recommend that you do

A steamy romance that is a fast paced and easy read that romance readers will enjoy. It reads like a romantic suspense or thriller with lots of action.

Tessa has to unload a ton of gold onto the black market after her father left it to her and vanished. She turns to Dare, the man who has the connections she needs. But there are lots of people after the gold, and her father, and they will do anything to get their hands on Tessa. Dare must protect the woman who asked him for help, the woman he is falling for.

This book is technically a sequel but reads as a standalone. The first book in the series followed Dare’s brother, Nash. Nash and his love are characters in this book too but I never felt like I had to read the first book to understand what was going on.

It had plenty of steam and good chemistry. It was a pretty standard action romance and it was a good book but didn’t blow me away. Enjoyable and romance readers will like it too.

Traced, the second book in Samantha Wilde's exciting new Blood Brothers series, is even better, more thrilling, alluring and sexy as hell!

This book was even harder to put down than the first. I loved the intensity and the danger and action as well as the irresistible chemistry Tessa and Dare have got going on. It felt like one action packed moment led to anther in between bouts of scorching hot sex that had me moaning out loud. Dare was a dangerous, irresistible man that I was instantly attracted to while Tessa is the kind of woman I could easily understand and liked and thought she was pretty amazing. The story itself never once disappointed me and the plot was everything I could ever hope for in a great book. It drew me in and kept fascinated, entertained and craving more from start to finish.

Traced gets a ACTION PACKED FIVE SCORCHING STARS!

After reading Bound and getting that snippet at the end.
I could not wait to read Dare’s story.
Traced is a standalone and no need to read the previous book.
I loved Dare.
He’s a bit of a complex character.
Yes he does kill people.
They do deserve it though.
Yes he may be on the wrong side when it come to lawfulness.
But he does have ethics and morals.
Tessa is in a real serious bind and needs specific help with her situation.
Hence she seeks the help of Dare.
While at first refusing to help her out.
His moral code and not being able to get her out of his mind and not to mention the mess he finds her in.
He agrees to lend his services.
Tessa and Dare have great chemistry.
It’s explosive and sexy.
The story is fast paced.
And filled with suspense and danger.
I really enjoyed reading Traced.
And absolutely looking forward to reading more of the brothers.

So as you know Nash has a few brothers and now we get a story about one of them. Let's meet Dare, who happens to be a whiz on computers. He also has some connections in the criminal world. He seems to be a secluded person, likes to do things alone. He was contacted by Tessa for some help that he may be able to do. Now get ready for a lot of action, lies, betrayals. I even spilled a few tears. We still get a good bit of sizzle too. When you start this book it does not take long to get into it? You will be wanting to find out what is going on. Then I wanted to know if Dare would finally give in to the attraction to Tessa. So what happens when the truth finally comes out. How will it all end for both Dare and Tessa. Check out this book to find out how it all goes down. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.

Loved This Action Packed Intriguing Romance

The Lionsgate Kinship crimes continue in Book 2 of the “Blood Brothers” Series. Tessa’s father’s life is in danger so she asks Dare Holmes for his help. He knows he should avoid Tessa and her request like the plaque only something about her will not let him do that. She seems to have wound her fingers into his heartstrings and maintains a death grip. The chemistry between Tessa and Dare is epic and downright erotic. Their story is loaded with action, danger and suspense that held me captivated until I read the last page. Could not put it down. Cannot wait to read “Unchained”, the third book in the series.

Tessa has a couple of days to sell her father’s gold bars before the group he is involved with, kill him. Tessa owns a yoga studio but will do anything to save her dad, even meet with a black market dealer. Dare runs a nightclub and is the black market dealer. He turns her down until he goes back to get some more info and a couple of thugs are torturing Tessa. He takes her to his place where she’ll be safe. While trying to stay out of trouble, Dare and Tessa find a connection that neither saw coming. When Tessa is taken, Dare just about loses his mind looking for her.

Great story with action and sex. There are a couple of surprises. Bad guys. Two people thrown together and the sparks explode between them.

Action packed and oh so spicy!

I really enjoyed reading Trace. It was action, action, action from the very first few pages, and I for one love diving into a book right in the middle of some drama. The relationship between Tessa and Dare felt so organic and it was incredible to watch as the walls between them slowly came crumbling down. They pushed through the crazy, dangerous situations that they had been placed in and clung to one another in order to make it out on the other side. I loved the dynamic of their coupling. There was no single badass hero and damsel in distress… instead they were both fighting just as hard to look out of one another. It was really refreshing to see Tessa be just as protective and willing to sacrifice anything for Dare.

This is the 2nd book in this series and is Dare and Tessa’s story. Tessa is under pressure to sell some gold bars which her father mysteriously left her with and if she does not sell them in time her father is going to be killed. The only man Tessa knows to approach with the bars is Dare, who is sweet, dangerous, and sexy, but he is reluctant to buy them. When Tessa is in danger Dare come to her rescue, and he will do whatever he must to protect and keep her safe. The chemistry between these two is explosive and undeniable. This is a good story which is filled with revelations, mystery, danger, suspense, witty sparring sessions, emotions, and is an entertaining page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author.

The second book in the series has Tessa needing to sell gold bricks to save her father. The problem is that the dealer she is working with wants nothing to do with her, but at the same time can’t get her out of his mind. With people after them first her mainly, they then find out what her father is or was into and now he is working at saving her before he can even try to sell the bricks for her.
The heat between them along with a fast-paced story keeps this book moving along. Plenty of action and the banter back and forth will have you go through this story quickly. This is just a fun fast-paced story with many different characters. I received this book from Netgalley.com. I gave it 4 stars.

This is book two of the Blood Brothers series, but can be read as a stand alone. I recommend reading the series in order as some characters pop up in each book as the stories center around the brothers.

Tessa is in a tricky situation and needs help. A connection via a mutual acquaintance, leads her to Dare. Dare is a man of mystery. Secrets, hacking, underground activities - he has done them all. After meeting Tessa, this mere business transaction evolves into something more - leading to a fast paced story that kept me on my toes.
The story has lots of twists and turns and plenty of spicy filled moments. Strong characters. Engaging story. Overall good read.

I enjoyed it but the heroine in this book like Lexi in book 1 was a bit too stubborn headed, unlike Lexi who as an investigative journalist had been in difficult situations before Tess was a yoga instructor yet she still ignored all Dare’s pleas to stay put and hopefully out of danger. I know we’re meant to be strong females etc but it was obvious every time she ignored Dare and moved it was going to land in trouble, that being said the 1 time she did stay still trouble still found her.
A good read, a lot of action and chemistry but I do prefur books from a dual point of view and like book 1 it left me more interested in Cole, than the characters I was reading about,

My second book by Samantha and I am hooked. This is another wild ride with the Holmes brothers. Holy crap you get no rest from the action and it is so good. Dare and Tessa get so much thrown at them you just shake your heard and wonder when the heck they will get a break. Never! I won’t give away the story but there is a twist way before the end of the story and I will say “shame on him”. Interested? You should be because if you love suspense and not the most legal dealings then this is the story for you. I am tired after reading the story. Samantha, you write a great story.

I received a complimentary copy from the publisher through NetGalley.
