To have and to hold from this day forward - to love and to cherish, till death do us part - and these are the bonds we break.
My name is Mia Stone. You may know how my story ends, but the truth is buried between the headlines. A secret that was meant to be taken to the grave – Until now.
I promised myself to one man, while still in love with another. I came between two best friends and by betraying one, I lost everything. In the end, we both knew, those bonds were always meant to be broken.
These men want to own me, possess me, or hold me down, but I was never meant to be tamed.
I have been told that I am a force of nature, but even a hurricane comes to an end.
Authors Note: If you have read Blood & Bone then you know how Mia's story ends. If you require a happy ending, this book may not be for you. You can choose to skip this book and read Bound To Burn. If you choose to read Bonds We Break, know that this book contains sensitive subjects so please read with care.
Paula Dombrowiak grew up in the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois but currently lives in Arizona. She is the author of Blood and Bone, her first adult romance novel which combines her love of music and imperfect relationships. Paula is a lifelong music junkie, whose wardrobe consists of band T-shirts and leggings which are perpetually covered in pet hair. Music is what inspires her storytelling.
Mia seems to live her life on the very edge of reason and on any given day, she's one step away from full on disaster. She's a friend and a lover- brash, smart, creative and free spirited, but painfully aware that one day, she'll wind up breaking the hearts of the ones she loves most of all. There is an underlying sadness and defiance that seeps out of Mia's pores, which left me wanting to hug her and then shake her, all at the same time.
The choices Mia makes may be her own, but mistakes with Jack and Cash have cost them all dearly and changed their lives as well as their band forever. These star crossed friends have been entwined from the very beginning and are inseparably and permanently engraved on each other's very souls. Together, they are an impending hurricane- waiting to destroy everything in its path and heartache always follows the storm that is them.
'We are the same, two souls lost to each other, because as much as I know I should, I can’t let him go either.'
You may think you know how Mia's story ends but unless you read Bonds We Break, you just don't. The unfairness of of her situation and life becomes completely evident in the last chapters and you won't be able to stop the tears from falling right down your face as you read them. A selfless act turns into shocking ruin and I wondered- how could fate be any crueler after everything that's happened.
'We are both littered with scars, and I see every one of them as if they are scattered across the sky. They are beautiful, because they are ours.'
Bonds We Break is not a standalone but part of an established world that must be understood in all it's angst and drama by first reading the 2 previous books in this series. You can't help but be drawn deeply into the heads and hearts of these flawed, tragic and utterly human characters that make up the world that begins with Blood and Bone. You don't want to miss this one because otherwise, you just won't know Mia's story at all.
Paula Dombrowiak has absolutely slayed me with every one of her books so far. This may only be her third book, but she writes with such depth, emotion and intuitive feeling for her characters already, that I know I'll always run, not walk, towards whatever she writes in the future.
I was thrilled to receive an early copy of this amazing story to read and review.
I've been dying for Mia's story since the first book in this series, Blood & Bone. I always knew there was so much more to her than even Jack tells us in the first book. I felt it in my bones that she had so much inner beauty, and in ways, she struggled through this saga more than anyone else. She is resilient, talented, and creative. I loved being let into her mind, seeing what she saw, and feeling what she felt. I loved seeing her form new relationships under a realm of different circumstances. Like all of you who have read the first two books in this series, I knew how her story ended but knew from the get-go that this was a story worth reading. Paula has a way with words and is one of those authors with the ability to make the characters feel like real-life people that you've become friends with. She sets the scene to really make you feel like you are there. Paula, thank you for sharing the beautifully tragic story of Mia Stone, and I cannot wait to see what beautiful tail you pen next for Cash!
It's not often that I read a book that rendures me completely speechless. One that is so beautifully heartbreaking and yet, filled with moments of so much love that it grips you tight. Utterly consuming your heart and soul only to leave it inevitably shattered in tragedy and shouting out at the unfairness of it all. Desperately wishing for a future where the possibilities of what might and could have been....
Going in, I knew how Mia's story ended but, I was not prepared for the journey this book took me on. Like a hurricane, Mia's story engulfed me within it's stormy depths. Leaving me to experience the life of a woman who was a force. One who's bad decisions and foolish choices impacted not only herself but, everyone around her.....
Ultimately, this is a story of a woman torn between the two loves of her life while searching for her own life's happiness. There's Jack who speaks to the darkness and depths within Mia. It's an all consuming, bone deep love that's larger than life like him and yet, is so destructive to them both. Cash is the light in Mia's world. His love brings her home, mends the broken pieces of her soul, and gives Mia the comfort and security that she so desperately craves....a love that isn't tainted. As fate would have it though, it's ultimately doomed right from the start......
GAWD....my heart broke for them all! There is so much love between Mia, Jack, and Cash. It's so heartbreaking that they just can't find that balance... their own perfect rhythm and harmony. Each couple's journey together takes you on hell of an emotionally charged ride that packs a punch.....
This was a hard and intense read but, so beautiful in the way it breaks your heart. Paula masterful depicts a story of family and friendship with wonderfully written moments of conflict, sadness, pain, joy, and hope. So much so, the emotions of it all practically bleed out from the page....
This was such an incredible story from beginning to end! It's a journey worth taking and one I was grateful to experience. Make sure to pack your tissues on this one though, you're going to need them....
*I had the pleasure of Beta reading this absolutely amazing book. All views and opinions are my own. Thank you Paula for letting me into Mia, Jack, and Cash's life. You broke my heart and made me cry but in the end, I wouldn't change it for the world. *
Review “When the person you love disappoints you in ways that destroy little pieces of your soul, there is a certain beauty in the way another person picks them up and sews them back together for you.”
You know it’ll be a ride when a book opens with lines like that. But even after preparing myself for the gut wrenching novel that are the very essence of Paula Dombrowiak as an author, she still managed to pull the rug out from under me when I thought I had it all figured out. I knew how it ended but what I didn’t anticipate was the anguish that lead to her fate.
I’d been following Mia’s story from the first two books of the series and I was equally excited and terrified to finally know what made Mia the woman that she is.
Some parts of this book were so hard to read (in a very good way) and I remember telling myself “gosh she went there.” I’ve said this in my review (Blood and Bone), but I really appreciate reading the darker side of Rockstar romance. I couldn’t remember how many times I cried reading Mia Stone’s story
‘Bonds We Break’ is one of those rare romance books that could easily be classified as general fiction/women’s fiction because of the overarching theme with Mia’s story.
You have to read book one and two to fully understand and enjoy the amazing work Paula Dombrowiak created.
This is the book you are dying to read even though you know it will break your heart. With Bonds We Break, Paula Dombrowiak gives as perspective into the Mia's side of the Blood & Bone story and it's soooooo good and tragic.
Since reading the first book in this series, Blood and Bone, I have been waiting for Mia's story and Paula does not disappoint with it. Mia's introduction by Jack had me intrigued right from the start. Her story just seemed not complete and I wanted to hear her side of what really happened to her.
Mia was a train wreck ready to happen and to an extent it did. She always seemed to be fighting for something that she wanted but was it really. Her marriage to Cash, the heartache that she caused and the love that she had for Jack, had her fighting within herself. My heart broke not only for her but for Jack and Cash as well. Cash loved her will everything that he was and had. He would do anything for her and he basically did. Did he have her whole heart or did he have a fraction of it? When secrets come to the surface, will Mia and Cash survive? Can the love that they have for one another be strong enough or will something, or someone else interfere? When tragedy strikes, how will Mia deal with the pain? Will Cash be enough or will she find comfort somewhere else?
I wanted to crawl into the book and comfort Cash. His love for Mia never lessened even though she hurt him over and over. He never hated Jack or Mia and that shows what type of person he was really like. When he loves he loves with everything he has.
Paula's writing style is like no other author that I have read. She throws the twist and turns, the heartaches and the love but it is how she writes them that makes it different. are her books filled with happiness all the way through? No, and that is what makes her books so interesting and gripping. This series had me so invested right from the start and I was unable to put them down. I am patiently waiting for book 4, Cash's story. I highly recommend you pick up this series as well as Bound to Burn when it is released.
In Bonds We Break Paula just ripped my heart out of my chest and I am not sure if it is back yet! I still have such a book hangover from this brilliant but tragic story. I knew going in that I was not going to see a happy ending here but the pain and torment that Mia suffered during her life with and without Jack was really hard to read. It seemed like she was never destined to be happy, was fated to make mistakes that would cause her life and that of others to spin out of control and sadly the number of happy moments she has seem to be very few.
Bonds We Break is the third book in Paula's rivetting Blood and Bone Series. It is necessary to read the previous two books Blood and Bone and Breath to Bear to get the background to this book. Jack and Mia have a unbreakable connection that was formed when they were teenagers and they seemed to be destined to be each other's forever. Like two magnets Jack and Mia are always drawn to each other but together they are a recipe for disaster.
When Jack wanting to do the right thing marries Amber the mother of his child he sets the wheels in motion to ruin not only his own life but those of Mia, Amber and Cash. Mia also wants to do the right thing by keeping Jack at a distance but by doing so she hurts herself and the people around her. Even though she falls in love with Cash and and marries hoping for a happy and stable future with him, Jack's jealousy rips her marriage and the band apart and ruins long time friendships.
Jack will never let Mia go but she knows that she is the root of his drug and drink problems and decides that she has to protect herself. She cannot fix his problems he has to do that alone and without her in the picture. Putting an end to their toxic relationship as well as losing Cash causes Mia to spiral down to a rock bottom of booze and drugs. When band member Wade tracks her down to a sleazy motel and asks her what she is doing her heartbreaking reply is "I don't know" she is so hurt and confused and feels that she has no where else to go.
But Mia with the help and support of her friends is able to find the strength to move on and create a new career for herself and I hoped that she was going to find happiness with Cash. Fate can be so cruel but I was definitely not expecting it to be so cruel to someone who had seen and experienced more hurt and pain that anyone her age deserves to and Mia did not deserve it.
I cannot give Paula enough praise for her brilliance. For a new author Paula writes like someone who has been at the top of her game for a long time. Her talent in writing believable characters suffering true to life heartaches is beyond amazing and her portrayal of Mia with all her flaws and wrong decisions was unforgettable. Even from Blood and Bone I have been impressed by Paula's writing and she has swiftly become one of my favourite authors and Mia's story deserves to be voted one of the best books of the year.
The Bonds We Break gives readers an intimate look into Mia's dark and often solitary life for a devastatingly emotional story.
Paula Dombrowiak did not hold back with Mia's story, it was brutal, raw and stripped down to unfiltered vulnerability. The edge that followed Mia in this series was honed to its sharpest as this author's spotlight zeroed in on her and brought to light all the worst and best qualities of this tortured character. Mia was a complicated portrayal that took readers from empathy to disappointment with the turn of a page but in the end her fallibility was her redeeming feature keeping readers in her corner to the bitter end.
As Mia's life set forth on a collision course with her fate there was no lack of collateral damage left in her wake. Not only the details of Mia's story after the breakup of the band Mogo were told but those of all the band members, further developing the dynamics of the group and their individual struggles to find happiness. This story examined many types of love from romantic, to friendship, to parental and ultimately self-love, proving love's power to make or break a person.
This author has built a standout series on the rocky road of her characters' broken pieces. She goes down dark paths with glaring clarity sharing shattering decisions and heartbreaking revelations demonstrating her grit as a writer. The Bonds We Break adds another tragic and riveting story to Paula Dombrowiak's Blood & Bone series that will leave a meaningful impact on anyone who takes the journey.
*I was given an advanced copy. All opinions expressed are my own.* *Reading the previous books in the Blood and Bone series prior to this one is recommended.*
This is a well written book with a cast of strong characters and a heartbreaking storyline. The author pulls you in and doesn't let go reading Mia's story. She pulls at your emotions as she tells a story of friendship, love and forgiveness. Keep the tissues handy when reading this one.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.
Mias story is sad and tragic and this book is full of emotion seeing the story of her life from her pov. This is an incredible read and a great book. Highly recommended. Read the first 2 in the series as well.
This was an emotional read and I am here for it! We learn about Mia through Jack's view in the book Blood and Bone, that must be read first. Mia is the woman who fell in love with two men, Jack and Cash, and in this book, we get to hear her side of the story. Mia left Arizona for California with Jack, where they struggled to make it in the music industry. When they finally get noticed, they bring in Cash and Wade to complete the band they started in high school back in Arizona. Mia and Jack have always had a connection and when they write songs together, it's pure magic. Mia always kind of assumed that she and Jack would end up together, but Jack had a way of always messing things up in a big way. So along the way, she starts to fall for Cash, who always had feelings for her. In this book we see it from Mia's point of view. She is so much more than the woman who came between two friends and broke up the band. She just wants what everyone wants, to be in love and have that love returned. When she tries to make her marriage work and leave Jack behind, it works, but only for so long. And eventually, Cash realizes that even though Mia loves him, she loves Jack more, and let's her go.
This is a heartbreaking story about a love, forgiveness, friendship, loyalty and loss. It's about a woman who loves two men and has to deal with the fallout. She struggles and makes bad decisions. She is flawed but stronger than she gives herself credit for. We know how this story ends from the first book, but this is about the girl in the middle, the conflicted girl who has been dealt a difficult hand and how she handles it. I loved hearing the story as Mia lived it. It made her character seem more real and likeable. You can't help but feel for her. So grab this book, find a comfortable place, make sure you have some tissues, and prepare to get your heart broken. You'll love it anyway!
Bonds we Break: An Emotional Love Triangle Rockstar Romance (Blood and Bone Series Book 3). Going in, I knew how Mia's story ended, but I was not prepared for the journey this would take me on. Consuming your heart and soul only to leave it inevitably shattered in tragedy and shouting out at the unfairness of it all. This is a story of a woman torn between the two loves of her life while searching for her own life's happiness. This was a hard and intense Read....My Heart Broke For Them All! There is so much Love between Mia, Jack, and Cash. A Beautifully Broken Masterpiece 🙌 I can't wait to Read Cash's story, I need his happiness. This was a Phenomenal Read.. Definitely Your Next 5 ⭐️ Read..
“It’s always Jack and Mia, everyone else is just collateral damage.” Bonds We Break is written with such depth and emotion. Paula writes the sex, drugs, and rock n roll lifestyle that I’ve imagined for the bands I followed especially in the 80’s. It’s an intense read but a wonderful story of conflict, joy, success, destruction, sadness, pain, and hope. An intense love between Mia, Jack, and Cash which takes you on an emotional ride. Mia is torn between her two loves while searching for her own happiness. She has a pull to both of them; Jack who consumes her but is her darkness as he constantly disappoints and breaks her. Cash, her light, who takes care of her and she loves him and his comfort and security but she is always drawn back to Jack. This is not a happy, sappy romance that’ll leave you content that the characters got their HEA. It’s full of angst and drama and flawed and tragic characters. If you have not read this series, I highly recommend it. A group of misfits who had a successful band until Jack and Mia destroyed it. Start with book 1, Blood and Bones (currently FREE)
Some books & characters come into your life an turn you upside down. Mia Stone is definitely one of those characters. Bonds We Break was such a beautiful story.
Mia has such a huge heart - yet she can’t seem to realize that it’s big enough for two great loves. Cash & Jack are the men that will always be it.
Marring Cash she knew that he will always be the light to her dark and she wanted that. Through the ups and downs they have Cash never let’s go until he finally has nothing left to give.
Jack crashes into her life like the wrecking ball he is. His love is definitely one that consumes her mind, body, and soul.
This book takes you through every emotion and Paula is so amazing in writing these characters. I have laughed, cried and yelled while reading an that to me makes for a great story.

⚠️May contain spoilers from previous books in the series⚠️
After this third book I can confirm that Paula Dombrowiak doesn't write the typical romance novels, her stories are raw, her characters are not conventional and can be very frustrating, but the reality is that the way she writes always captivates me and makes me love her words.
Bonds We Break was a true roller coaster, I loved being able to read events that I already knew, this time from Mia's point of view, but what I liked and surprised me the most about this story was reading a completely different side of her, and realizing that Mia & Jack were much more alike than I expected, something I definitely didn't love about their story , I felt frustrated and angry many times for the mistakes they both made, for the destructiveness of their love and the way it affects the people around them, yet I can't say I hate either of them two, because I think their whole story makes Paula books much more real
I think one of the things that broke my heart the most was reading Mia breaking Cash's heart over and over again, especially because the way things happen between them lets us see how perfect they both could be, how much they loved each other and how that was never enough, plus Cash has become my favorite character after reading this book, I think that he's a really special character, who loves with all his being and who is willing to sacrifice everything for the people he loves, so it was very painful for me to read it, particularly towards the end of the story, I couldn't help but cry and love him a little more so I really hope that his book will be a little more a traditional romance and that he can have the happy ending that he so deserves.
And although we might think that we already know Mia's story, her unconditional love for Jack and tragic end, Paula has many unexpected twists in the plot prepared for their readers, which made it impossible for me to stop reading and enjoy Mia much more. Among those things I never saw coming were the great little glimpses the author gives us into Wade & Adam's love story and how wonderful they are as supporting characters, which only made me want even more that these two have their own book.
In short, this series always manages to take me down a raw path of emotions, it makes me love and hate its characters during different moments of the story, it fulfills the objective of making me enjoy each of its pages and I can't wait to read more of these characters, mainly Cash.

Having already known how Mia's story ends, I was a bit hesitant to go into Bonds We Break. Yet I felt the need to know what happened between Mia and Cash, as well as more about the relationship between Mia and Jack.
That being said, I found myself fully captivated by everything that happened. I have a better understanding of who Mia Stone was, and the impact that she had on those around her.
She was a creative woman who was passionate about music. She loved with everything she had. While she thought she would ruin everyone, it was actually quite the opposite. She left a mark on everyone she met. All of whom would remember her for years to come.
As for her relationship with Cash, while it was meant to be, it was also doomed from the start. There was love, friendship, and desire there, but trust was missing. In a way it was as though a true respect was also missing. I wonder if that doesn't come back to Mia thinking she'd ruin everyone.
Nothing new was really shed about Mia and Jack's relationship, but what I am now curious about is Wade and Adam. Part of me wants their origin story, and to see how that time at Berkeley affected their relationship. Of course I am also anticipating Cash's story so that I can see things from his perspective when it comes to Mia, Jack, and the band.
Depth. Emotion. Resurrection. Bonds We Break by Paula Dombrowiak may be book 3, but truly is the tie that binds in this unforgettable love triangle saga. The pain, heartache, and love are all captured in the songs Mia writes, along with those from Jack (an album referenced in books 1 and 2). However, Cash was the perfect contender in vying for Mia’s heart; I thoroughly enjoyed their relationship, and deeply fell for the man.
“I will ruin him. That is what I was always meant to do.”
The in-between style of this book is gripping. I began Jack O’Donnell’s journey in Blood and Bone where we learn of the interdependence and addiction of friendship, lust/love, and fate; the story of MOGO…the beginning and untimely kismet of Jack and Mia, and then along came Cash. And the fourth force of standing in the way of one “epic story,” Amber; the villain and catalyst of Jack’s hindered happiness.
“Fate can be a cruel pill to swallow, something you can never outrun.”
Never have I ever been more conflicted by a character than Mia Stone, in this raw and emotional rockstar romance. But that’s how I felt about Jack and Cash, only because I loved and suffered with them. Ms. Dombrowiak’s writing will do that to you!? And I couldn’t be more thrilled and eager about the journeys she concocts.
“You could never disappear.”
Overall, I highly recommend this book due to the engaging plot, authentic characters, haunting love story, and amazing supporting cast. Days later, I find myself still recovering from the love-hate feelings, causing me to grieve with the hopes reading more from the amazing Blood & Bone series. I reviewed an early copy voluntarily, and look forward to future novels by the author.
Having read Blood and Bone and Breath To Bear I couldn't wait for more from this author! As soon as this book was announced i knew i absolutely had to read it! I picked it up as soon as i could and got right back into the Blood and Bone Series! I really enjoyed this story!
Mia's journey made me feel SO much from beginning to end! I knew going into her story that it was going to put my heart through it and oh did it! I really liked getting to dig deeper and the rawness that poured from the pages. From her to the rest of the characters, every bit of it got to me and had me glued to my kindle.
Mia and her story definitely leave their mark.
With Bonds We Break, Ms.Dombrowiak has created such a great read with emotion and depth that entwined it's way around my heart and made me feel it ALL! If you haven't jumped into this series yet, you so need to! They're utterly unique rockstar books that bring such realness in ways i cannot get enough of! This author continues to create one of a kind reads that get to me and keep me hooked! 💜
I'll be counting down the days until i can read the fourth installment, Bound To Burn!
*I volunteered to read and review a copy of this book from the author*
I really couldn't put this book down, Jesus! Knowing how it ends, reading this book was absolutely necessary for me. Ok, so many tropes (see below) there are 2 triggers but if you read the two previous books of the Blood and Bone Series (which I highly recommend) it's par for the course. Paula Dombrowiak presents us with this incredible fast burn story sure to captivate you from beginning to end. It is well-written.So vividly fluid it will pull on your heartstrings. It contains a great world build, great characters, drama, passion, steamy, and heartbreaking storyline. My heart broke, my tears like waterfalls and I wanted more. This Book is about Mia Stone, Cash (the light to her darkness) and Jack (her love, body and soul) from the FMC's point of view. The tropes include: Rockstar, 2nd chance, Love Triangle and hot M/M. I don't do spoilers because it takes away from the story but you have the Blurb. I hope you read this treasure of a book (the first and second installment are terrific reads too) you will not be dissapointed, I can't wait for the next installment!!! Thank you Ms. Dombrowiak for this best seller⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Grab your tissues everyone! This book is a rollercoaster ride and provides insight into this world that few authors provide to us. This is Mia’s story about Jack, Cash and herself. The many things that happened in her life one couldn’t guess and will be overwhelmed with. This is truly a story of a women that has two loves, two loves that are so completely different but in the end, one of those loves are just all consuming. When I read Blood and Bone, I left angry at Mia. I was angry for so long. Now after reading Bonds We Break, I am more a piece, albeit, heartbroken.
I truly don’t have words to describe this series. It is so well written, the character development is one that I have rarely seen and the world development is phenomenal. I get lost in these books. I had to force myself to stop reading at times because I wanted to savour this. I do hope that we see a series based on Peter and his band in the future. I loved the quick view into his world that we were provided with.
This is not your typical love story with a happy ever after. This story is gritty, raw, insanely emotional and will break your heart. But this was exactly the story I needed after reading Blood and Bone and Breath To Bear in order to learn more about Mia and how she had such a strong and fierce hold on Jack and Cash.
I knew how Mia’s story would end but I wasn’t prepared for how it would rip my heart apart and leave me a shattered mess quite like the way it did. But I understand now why she loved two men as fiercely as she did.
Mia was a force to be reckoned with. She was passionate and loved greatly. Those around her felt her greatness. And she left a mark on the souls that got to know her deeply.
Mia took us on an emotional journey filled with passion, anger, pain, addiction and love. It was an intense rollercoaster ride that had me completely captivated and sobbing into my pillow throughout. But I loved every heartbreaking second of it.
This is the story of Mia Stone. We met her in Blood and Bone, which is book one in the series. We learn Mia’s fate in Breath to Bear (book 2) and although we know how her story ends it’s absolutely breathtaking and you can’t help but falling in love with Mia, Cash, Jack and Wade all over again.
Paula has a way to describe this anguish, this sorrow that consumes the lives of Mia, Jack and Cash. They just love each other too much, to the point that they’re toxic to each other.
Mia is such a talented person, full of love but also full of guilt. Cash loves enough to let go and that’s the ultimate gesture of real love. And Jack, well he’s just larger than life! Jack O’Donnell it’s an all consuming being that found his peace in book two. It was beautiful to see Mia’s POV, she owned her mistakes and tried to flourish on her own but she was never meant to be alone. And Cash, I sure hope he gets a F. Epic story on his book! That man!
I was nervous reading this book- I mean we know how this one ends! But once I started reading I couldn’t put this down. Paula’s writing is just amazing and the words just flow and draw you in. This story was so emotional, really raw and heartbreaking. You could feel the love that Mia had for both Jack and Cash and how torn she was. This book really helped me to understand the love Mia felt for them both. Cash was so strong he really really deserves a happy ever after. After reading Jack and loving him, I couldn’t understand why Mia felt how she did about Cash, but he was actually stronger then Jack, not many people could be as selfless as him. Poor Mia she deserved a happy ending too. But this book helped me make peace with that, maybe it was for the best for her. She had two great loves and lived her life. A fantastic book with all the feels and then some.
Mia is telling her side of the story and I can’t help but feel sad for her. Because we all know where her story ends. I love Cash, he’s handsome and sweet. In book one and two I didn’t care much about Mia but in this book it’s all about her and making me like her, I kind of love her. Learning about Cash and how much in love they are is going to kill me with sadness. I seriously hope that in the future there will be a book about Peter because I love him, Jay and Sam. And just like that this book has me ugly crying. This book was a crazy epic love story. She loved Jack even though he was never hers. Cash loved her so much he actually let her go, I hated that. This book is so good I finished it in under twenty-four hours. I’m giving it five stars and highly recommending it.
This was a totally heartbreaking story. Especially considering we all know the outcome of Mia's tragic life. I knew going in I would be broken by this book. I cried and cried reading this book. It shows you even more just how selfish Jack really was even reading it from this new angle. I never understood and I still don't know why Mia was so controlled by the thought of Jack. I know she loved him but together they were poison and If she had chosen differently and just stayed with Cash maybe, just maybe thing would have ended another way.
I so wanted to read it all happened differently but it played out the same way. And the person I wanted to hold on tight to was Cash, my heart hurt for him. I really liked Mia and she was a brilliant character but she was just to bewitched and nothing could have ever stopped the nightmare that was her and Jack.
I really enjoyed this book and I am glad I read it because it was a important insight into this band and the dynamics that made and broke them to pieces. This book is a huge recommend from me. It's a great and important part of the story.
Even knowing how her story ends, ( MUST read Blood and Bone first), Mia Stone will tell her story. Her light will blind you. The woman that you know is not the whole story.
Bonds picks up after Mia tells Jack that her heart is now Cash’s. The missing pieces reveal two hearts that do their best to beat together, in a rhythm of their song. Rife with a constant smoke from the real world trying to snuff out her light, Mia shows there will always be a way to have people remember that she was here!
Oh, this woman will have you losing sleep to find out how she claws her way out of the ashes. Be prepared to deal with a lot of heartbreak and heartache with Wade and Adam giving true laugh out loud moments. As is becoming a reality, keep the tissues handy... you're going to need them. 100 out of 10 stars!
If you have read Blood & Bone and Breath to Bear you know Mia’s story is gonna break your heart in million pieces. Let me tell you, Paula does exactly that. Crush your heart with any remorse. I don’t know how many time my heart breaks for Mia and Cash. Be capable to feel Mia and understand Mia through all this feelings and actions in those year, omg just wow. It’s definitely an emotional book. Reading this book knowing how it ends is a little bit hard but really, really worthy. All the emotions are so strong and raw. I know there’s Cash and Jack in the book but my focus was on Mia and is pretty impressive.
I’m so excited for Cash book!!! And all the books Paula can give us ❤️
Grab the tissues and hold on tight because Paula Dombrowiak once again delivers another fantastic addition to her ( Blood and Bone Series ) Bonds We Break is part of Mia’s journey ( told from her point of view ) but prepare yourself because it’s truly a emotional rollercoaster. Torn between both Jack and Cash Mia is faced with the most difficult decision of her life . Which man holds her heart ? How does it all turn out ? I’m not going to give any details away but what I will say is that it’s not often I come across a series that has the ability to captivate me so completely or stir as many crazy and wonderful emotions as this phenomenal story has done . Bonds we Break has all the feels , it’s steamy, intriguing, emotionally charged , angsty , dark , filled with many unexpected surprises , heartbreak and heartfelt moments , it’s everything you could ever want in a romance
One of my most favorite authors and stories. This one starts with a bang . . We delve in depth in to Mia 's life, from her POV . A tragic heroine & hint Jack's love from book 1&2 I think my fave character is Cash followed by Wade. So neat to see a gay relationship as well. Wade and Adam, were just so perfect . Showing off that gay or straight relationships are not any different. My heart went out to Cash though . He tried do hard to forgive my fave part was when Mia and Cash were renovating Underground Records Love the Way Wade told Mia how he sees things . Just very well developed characters. Greatly developed story. TY PAULA .
