I loved this spicy little read from Breanne!! This book was the third in her Mister series, and dealt with love and tragedy, as well as a second chance romance.

It was super spicy, and Mister Dixon definitely liked things done a certain way in the bedroom -- and I was here for it!

As with all of Breanne's books, you can find a HEA, a heartwarming story, and enough spice to keep you warm through the winter. Such a good read!!

This series just gets better and better. Romance readers will really enjoy this series. Besides the hot and spicy sex; each story is filled with engaging and wonderful characters as well as great storylines. This newest book in this series is no exception.

I just loved Dante and Cassie. Can we talk about that moment encounter between them. It was tense but you could feel the attraction between them. They say distance makes the heart grow fonder. It is true as the love was stronger the second time around. All I have left to say is..."thank you Mister Dixon". A steamy read for sure.

Cassie has a one-night stand with Dante, and she can't stop thinking about it. She meets her fiance shortly after and even though she has doubts because of Dante, she moves ahead with the engagement. Dante comes back around after tragedy strikes and brings Cassie back to life. WIll secrets ruin their shot at a happy ending? I liked the idea of this book, but it fell short for me. It's part of a billionaires book series, but you only hear about his billionaire status in passing. The spicey scenes in the first half of the book felt really disjointed, almost like they were just spliced in. There is also a time jump in this book and it's difficult to follow because it's all just based on obscure titles of chapters, instead of specifically stating a timeline. It got very confusing as a reader to follow. Overall, a good story about second chances, but I just didn't love it.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This one left me with QUESTIONS. I want to say that going in to this review. Can I ask them here? No cuz spoilers. But if your brain works like mine does - expect to have questions.

Content warnings - depression, death. I feel these are important to mention as they are a huge part of the book.

This is the third installment to the Mister series. I enjoyed it. At first I found myself wondering where it was going, but it all came together quickly and ended up being a fantastic story. I love that the main female character is a business owner. It’s nice to see the female in a romance novel being independent!

This book is pretty predictable but I was happy to get an HEA at the end. Overall this book is a solid 4 stars.

Mister Dixon, Book 3 of the Mister series, was about Dante Dixon, a sergeant in the army, and Cassie (no last name given), the owner of Cassie's Blossoms floral shop.

Side Note: This was mostly written from the FMC's POV. However, the MMC did have a couple of places that were written from his POV, but it wasn't enough to make it a dual POV story.

Cassie was 23(?) when she met Dixon at a local bar. She and her friend, Lexi were celebrating her being granted a business loan to start her floral shop. While dancing, Cassie was accosted by a man who was drunk and wouldn't take No for an answer. Dixon intervened. Cassie learned that he was in the military, and they ended up in his room for the night. When she woke up the next morning, all that was left was a note. Dante was gone.

Six months later she met Matthew. On their first date, she quickly learned that Matthew was also in the military, but his demeanor did not point to that as true, as it had for Dante. But she let that thought go. Three years passed and not only was Cassie's business flourishing, but she and Matthew were not only still together, but they were engaged. But something wasn't sitting right with Cassie, and one morning Matthew received a call saying his troop was to be deployed. But at that moment, all she could think about was Dante. A few days after he left, Cassie received a phone call saying that Matthew had died "while serving his country".

The many weeks that had passed since losing Matthew were hard on Cassie. She had given up on her business and couldn't even get out of bed until her BFF told her enough was enough and dragged her out to the local bar. Cassie had enough alcohol in her system that it allowed her to loosen up and dance...where she bumped into Dante again for the first time in almost four years. When he said her name, Cassie turned and fled. But then he showed up at her home the following morning. After talking to her for a bit over a cup of coffee, Dante offered to help her with getting her business back on track. When asked why, he told her he owed her that much. But what Cassie didn't know was that Dante had a secret. Not only had he been Matthew's BFF, he had also been his sergeant in the army...and the one who had given the order that ultimately led to his death.

The way this book was written could only be called chaotic. It waffled between past and present, but then it would go off on a tangent where the reader would be completely confused as to what the hell was going on. Sometimes the author threw in a big word, but it didn't really fit the sentence or situation she was writing about at the time.

The whole book was a bit of a trainwreck, from the beginning to the most unusual way the author chose to end it. There was a lot of angst and drama, but some of it came out of nowhere and then went nowhere. It wasn't put together cohesively and seemed to be all over the place. It was almost as if what was presented as a finished book felt more like a rough draft that got published by mistake. Even the emotional rollercoaster felt as if it was supposed to do a loop-da-loop, but instead, it did a twist and turn. The writing style was atrocious and a tad juvenile and the words used weren't always appropriate. Also, the author was so repetitive and had the awful habit of saying the same thing while using different words, such as, "She went to the door...gave it a tug, then she walked to the door, gave it a push". That happened in the same paragraph, so...WTF?

The two main characters were neither well-developed nor particularly mature. Nor was there any true growth for either of them. No real backstory was given, other than a story here and there about how each of them survived a past trauma. On top of that, they were rarely ever together, and when they were, it was always with other people around them, except for when they had an intimate scene. I can't say these were spicy because even that was so juvenile in the portrayal that they weren't enjoyable.

I only gave this story a two-star rating. There was too much wrong with it so it didn't earn anything higher, plus I felt the author did at least put in the effort, weak though it was, to create something palatable. I just don't think she succeeded in that attempt.

I was expecting a nice small read but I got myself in a book that just screams toxic grouping hypocrite slut self absorbed female lead.
What's wrong with this authors man? Don't they feel disquieting with themselves when they write such a shallow female lead? She acted like a female dog on heat. And that's me putting it nicely. She got wet just by the sight of a man. Not touch, no kiss..no nothing. She acted like any creepy pedophile out there will react.
Let's start with the beginning
What the hell is the second cheaper? Do you really need to write that everyone at the pub saw your female lead being a total dick slave and had all her private parts for everyone to see ? So in 2 seconds after someone may have sexually assault her she is horny and runs after a more beautiful man to beg him to fuck her?
When she met the man lead, she had never seen something so beautiful and sexy and mouth watering as him.🤢🤮 wait for her next man. hypocrite bitch says the same thing and gets once again wet just by how mouth watering he looks like and yet again starts to wonder if he can fuck her right 🙄 by just seeing him once. And all man she meant are just juicy for her🤮😥 have some dignity lady. again maybe some of you missed it the 100th times this pervert female lead that find man just
as toy object ( if they look nice,if not they are creepy 🤮) stalking that man taking a shower and starts to masturbete herself
Ok Let's forget that because apparently is not important and move on to her fiancé
He is a sweet guy that knows how to fuck her in all the right places so she decided to say yes to his proposal... she talks so much only about how all the man in her life look like that she sounds like any other incel out there that thinks looks are everything..a and how good she get fucked.
Then out of better plot...he dies. What do you all think our lovely female lead does weeks after that man died? Not months not years no,the minimum of weeks that can be count as plural, she gets all wet and troubling with need goe our man lead know as a pet 😉.
After all this i was like girl, come one show some maturity and start to see man more than just a good dick and beautiful body that can fill you completely...but my expectations were to high for this slut of female lead so all she did was to fuck him again and use him as a toy. Good job author. First and last book that I touched from you.

~4.5⭐Rating~

All it took was one night for their lives to forever be changed, to bad Dixon left Cassie high and dry the next morning. Fast forward a bit and Cassie has her life right on track with a perfect fiancé and her work going just the way she wants, that is except for that small lingering thought of her one night of passion with Dixon! The last thing Cassie expected was for Dixon to come back into town just as her entire world comes crashing down! The question is can these two finally have something more?

••

Mister Dixon is the final book in the Mister series and gosh did Bergies really kick it up a notch! This book was packed with steam, drama and a whole lot of angsty goodness! This was definitely a more emotionally charged read compared to the previous books in this series but this worked out perfectly for Dixon and Cassie’s story.

••

Both main characters were amazing, I loved their connection and that even after all the apart their connection was instant and just as hot as that first night. I have to say that I really liked that both Cassie and Dixon were so real and very relatable. They both faced very real issues and challenges. The thing that I loved the most about this book was that they kind of brought a new life/light to each other, they just played of the other perfectly.

••

Mister Dixon is definitely a book that I would recommend reading! I can not wait to see what Bergies has planned for next, one thing I can tell you is that this lady keeps getting better and better with each book!

Death of military fiance

Cassie meets Dixon, they have a one night stand, then he leaves. She thinks of him often, but meets and falls in love with Matthew. Then Matthew dies. But Matthew and Dixon knew each other, and Cassie didn't know. When he tells he, it blows up in his face and she throws him out. Don't stop reading at "The End".

This story will be triggering for some. The writing is getting better with each story, but still feels....stilted.

received this book from Booksprout as an arc copy for a voluntary review. This is the first time I’ve read this author. Amazing storyline with amazing characters that have plenty of drama and spice and a second chance but the ending was a shock. You need to read it.

I loved this. You knew what was likely to happen as the story progressed but the ending with touching and something I would totally do. Breanne improves with each book. This one made me cry; the other two didn't. This one did.

I enjoy the Mister series so much!! Book 3, Mister Dixon is another great read. Each book is a stand-alone, so you don’t need to have read the first two (but you should, as both are awesome). Breanne Bergie is a fantastic storyteller! This book has it all, lots of spice, heartbreak, and joy! It was the perfect fun quick read. Definitely recommend!!
