My name is Lorri Moulton and I live on a farm in Eastern Washington. We have five horses and live in a lovely part of the country, which inspire many of my stories. I write romance, suspense, fantasy, mysteries, fairytales, and historical non-fiction. Real life fairytales happen all the time. You just have to believe in the possibility…and look for magic in the most unexpected places.

The Magic of Burrows Bay,” co-authored with Abigail McKee, is the first book in our Burrows Bay Romance Series. Moira and Gabriella discover their grandmother has left them a mansion in the San Juan Islands, north of Seattle. The two cousins, who have not seen each other in the past fifteen years, must learn to work together to uncover their true heritage. And what they find will change their lives forever. This is a three book serialized story and all three books are now available!

Christmas in Silver Birch Valley is a sweet romance with a bit of fantasy woven into the story. When a man spends the holidays in a small Northwestern town that may not be exactly what it seems…he rediscovers the true meaning of Christmas.

Once Upon A Rose, the first of the clean/sweet fairytale novelettes, follows a princess who uncovers a plot against her kingdom and tries to stop it with the help of her friends.

Spell Bound is the second clean/sweet fairytale novelette in this series. Felicia wonders if she’ll ever find her place in the world…then comes across the opportunity of a lifetime. In this clean/sweet fairytale, a young woman becomes an apprentice to the village candlemaker and discovers magic is all around her.

Magic’s Betrayal, an elemental fairytale, follows a noble and commoner trying to save their families and their kingdoms. Long after an epic battle divided the lands, a dark lord and evil sorceress have returned. As they consolidate their power, a water fairy and kelpie are convinced these two humans hold the key to stopping them…if they can unlock the secrets of an ancient prophecy.

Moonlight, Roses & Murder is a murder mystery and a paranormal suspense story. Selina is a woman with a secret and she has been hiding it for a very long time. With her nieces, she runs Luna’s, a nightclub in downtown Seattle, catering to Steampunk and Goth clientele. When someone leaves a body behind her club, she is drawn into a web of mystery and murder. Puncture marks on the body indicate a vampire might be responsible and when more women are killed, a red rose is left by their bodies. A vampire hunter with secrets of his own comes to investigate and Selina wonders, who she can trust…

Storm Front is the first book in this spy series filled with suspense, romance and even a little paranormal. “The role of women has always been undervalued in the spy world, always undermined in terms of recognition. Unfairly so. It’s a world that needs women.” -Helen Mirren
When a spy loses her memory, she doesn’t know who to trust…or what to believe. I felt myself flying through the air, and I was strangely calm for a moment as the reality of the situation faded away. This wasn’t happening. It couldn’t be happening. I’d wake up any moment and realize it was all a bad dream. Then, I hit the water. What happens, when the people you thought you could trust betray you? That’s bad enough in any relationship…but when you’re a spy, it can be deadly.

Dare To Cross The Water is the first book in the Dare Romance series. These books are loosely based on my family history and start with my great-great-great grandmother on my mom’s side…and her life in Scotland.

Dare To Share A Dream continues the story, but in a novelette form. This short story follows the ro

Once Upon a Rose by Lorri Moulton is a short fairy tale like story.

I was at first shocked by the shortness of the novel and was wondering how in the world it would turn out to be. But then the author did a very good job in mimicking a short fairy tale type story. The writing was consistent and it packed a lot of information for the length.

The princess was very mindful of her interaction with the commoners and showed a lot of interest in making her kingdom better. She went on a lot of adventures to get to know her friends better and she had a pure heart to help her friends in a time of need. She was inquisitive and was very resourceful to get things done.

I would recommend this novel to anyone who wants a short, sweet, and simple novel.

It is a short, simple, and cute romance book, perfect for when you need a break from bigger, more challenging reads. I liked how Celsiana was not a classic princess; she loved gardening, wanted a normal life, and was good at science. Celsiana is smart, and we need more princesses and girls in stories like her. The girls, who later became her friends, were hardworking and kind to the princess not just because they had to be, but because they genuinely liked her and wanted to be her friends with no hidden agenda. I also loved how it wasn’t all about boys; she likes one boy, but it's not her entire personality.

A really cute short story that is quickly and easily read. It is not anything special and has not big adventures or plot twists, so it could seem boring to some but it convinced me at least. I certainly liked it. It also had this atmosphere of a fairy tale that I like, even though I am not sure, if and what fairy tale this book is based on.

You can’t go wrong with a castle, royalty and magic! Celsiana, the princess, longs to be a normal girl. She wishes she could attend school in the village and have true friends. Her parents won’t agree to her wishes, but they do arrange for three girls to be her companions and visit her at the castle. That still isn’t enough for her so she dresses as a boy and sneaks out of the castle through a drainage pipe. Soon she uncovers a plot against the king. Will her bravery save the day?

This book is clean and sweet. It is also very short it reads as though it is written for the middle school age group and would be very appropriate for that group. It is free of curse words, sex scenes, and violence and has no references to drug or alcohol use. I recommend this book for the young reader that likes adventure.

Lovely quick read

I love quick reads that are straight to the point with the perfect amount of what's going to happen next. I love how she made the main character innocent yet wise just like she said her name was. Toward the end you can tell she gained that perfect in site to behave like a royal and make decisions. I loved it!

Fairytale with a twist

A fairytale complete with Royal families, arranged marriages, castles, gardens, a curious Princess and a brief battle. There's even a wizard or two mentioned! A great story for all ages. Clean, no cursing, nothing scary, perfect for family story time or someone looking for a quick fairytale read!!

The first thing I fell in love with about this book is the beautiful cover. The artwork drew me in before I even opened the cover. Once I started reading I knew I'd chosen wisely.

This fairytale has a lot of action packed in for a short story. It's a great length to be your next bedtime story with the kids. It's a great journey you're all sure to love.

This is a sweet clean fairytale that young adults could even enjoy. There was some action and mystery. This was so entertaining and the characters really make this story work. Now I need to find more in this series to enjoy.

2,5 rounded to3: not bad but not me

Honestly I like these kind of stories but it was for me as a distanced view which is okey bit not really engaging. I like romance to bloom but here it was like one day they were apart and the next together and thats the end of story.
I liked the very bit of tension on the adventure part but while we spent more time on her struggles being alone than befriending the village girl(s) and gardening together neither the villain nor her interest in Nicholas’s was much detailed how it got developped while I think these could have been the most interesting part.
So as its not my type of (genre wise yes but detail orientation wsie not really )writing style Ill not continue the series but was an easy afternoon read.

A clever story about a girl named after a rose

Celsiana wants friends, not just acquaintances. Once she makes friends, of course, they look out for one another. The story is simple but enjoyable.

Good

An interesting story with unexpected developments. I really enjoyed the Princess and her interests as well as her determination to expand her boundaries. The ending was a bit abrupt, but otherwise an nicely entertaining read.

Short and sweet, this story was much more interesting than I expected. I would definitely read it as a much longer novel or series starter. That being said, it is a complete story as is.

It seemed like a nice story, but I couldn't get into it due to the amateur writing. The dialogue was unnatural and "on the nose," and the story felt rushed.

A sweet story told in true fairy-tale fashion, with an enchanting, clever princess. Only this one has a mischievous side that eventually gets her into trouble.

The story is certainly reminiscent of a fairy tale, but it moves too quickly and lacks detail.

I enjoyed this story of a princess who does not want to conform to society's rules for her. Her love for gardening, gives her connections to others in the village and she gains some friendships outside of the castle walls. This story had me wanting to know what was going to happen next and needing more.

Thank you Lorrie Moulton for the opportunity to listen to this book! All opinions are my own.
