Blood Fury MC #11

Blood & Bones: Whip

Rate this book
You never know where the road may lead you. Or who you’ll find along the way…

When Whip comes across a disabled motorcycle at the foot of the mountain—the one that’s nothing but bad news—he hopes the stranded rider is nothing more than just that. Someone who needs help.

And not a trap. Or an undercover fed.

When her motorcycle breaks down on a deserted road, Fallon Murphy’s caught off guard by the mechanic with the sexy smirk who comes to her rescue.

After shedding her restrictive corporate chains, she’s now living life on her own terms. She no longer answers to anyone for anything.

Like most bikers, her motto is “live free, ride free.”

But that’s where her and Whip’s similarities end.

The saying is “opposites attract,” but Whip tried that once before. It didn’t work out.

Fallon’s not only far out of his league, they couldn’t be more opposite. Even so, he isn’t easily deterred.

However, to his surprise, Fallon has her own plans and isn’t shy about going after what she wants.

Meanwhile, trouble on that mountain is brewing, and no one is safe.

His MC stands at a crossroads, and it’s time for the Fury to take action once and for all.

No more excuses.

No more quarter.

No mercy given.

Especially from the one who goes by that name.

Note: Blood & Bones: Whip is the eleventh book in the Blood Fury MC series. This older woman/ younger man romance (seven-year difference) has no cheating, no cliffhanger, and has an HEA. It’s highly recommended to read this series in order.

Frustrating installment

I’ve enjoyed several of the books in this series. This one however was one of my least favorite, and I was close to clicking one star.
Spoilerish comments to justify rating.
The writing....while not full of errors, did have several wording switch around that were frustrating and took you out of smooth reading.
Too much DRUG use. Fallon did not seem the type to even try we ed, but it came up several times with her partaking with Whip and Whip on his own.
Didn’t feel any magic between the couple.
Didn’t like how willing they were to be apart from one another for her travels.
In Ozzy and Shay’s book, and it REALLY still felt like it in this book, Ozzy was in love with Liz. It comes off like he still is, because he’s bothered by Whip’s comments about them. I feel bad for Shay about that.
This was not a happy installment, and several of the couples were irritated with one another it felt like. For example Jet fighting in the bar with Rook . And poor Reilly getting talked to in a non picking frustrated, kinda mean really, several times by Rev. He made one comment where I felt she should have walked out.
Fallon, the heroine, got on my nerves with her constant fishing questions. She felt nosy, but not in a cute get to know him way, but more of a controlling sort of, thought she should know everything way. She would have come off a lot better if she went about getting to know him better.
Did not like the way Whip flipped out on her in the bar when it was obvious she didn’t care for some lifestyle choices of the other women. But then, I didn’t like her responses either.
I just didn’t care for her or them together.
I hated her whole obsession with wanting to be equal glass ceiling she’s not property stance.
There was just a lot that didn’t work for my preferences with this installment.
Most important, this book did not bring me joy and I didn’t feel any happiness in it or from it. And I like to read romance books that ultimately make me feel their love between them and it wasn’t present IMO in this one.
I’m also not a huge fan of the whole sisterhood everyone has to love one another and share their secrets and hug blah blah. That’s not how it works in reality. Not everyone likes everyone else, even if they’re in the same organization or whatever it may be. And they’re sure not all going to be comfortable sharing secrets.
Also, don’t see how Red is going to be comfortable raising her three siblings who are a reminder of the cult.
Hope Easy’s book is easier.

There was something about this one, I really liked Whip and Fallon together. Loved how they met, loved how Whip was just being himself and how that worked for Fallon and she let him know. Loved how certain people helped conspire to give them more time together. What I hated was how Whip did something stupid to protect Fallon, even if I sort of agreed with him.

The club finally had to deal with the Shirleys and they did so in a huge way, a final way, one that really could have come out bad for them. So far it is good and even helped get rid of another problem that seemed to be brewing. I hated what Whip had to do there, but am glad that person is out of the picture.

I was so glad when Whip reached out to Fallon afterwards, glad that she gave him and in essence the MC another chance, one that came by way of all of the women sharing their stories and the role that the club played, it helped Fallon see things in a different light.

The ending to this one had me smiling! Loved how things ended with Whip and Fallon and how things look for the club.

2.5 stars. Not my favorite in the series. Fallon was a bit too much and Whip was a bit too little. There wasn’t a believable balance of power in their relationship. I’m not really interested in all the Shirley clan drama and that was a big part of this book. Also, I never want to hear about Liz or Billie again. It’s weird that they keep getting brought up in an almost reverential manner. They are club whores- I don’t need a look back at their roles in the H’s lives in every book! And another thing, stop with every h getting her hair done at Teddy’s. Super cringy, repetitive and not necessary. 😖

Whip and Fallon burned up the pages of my kindle. While I didn't think their age gap was too much at all, it was wonderful to see them both grow into their relationship. She had to let go of some pre-conceived notions she had about younger men, and he had to let go of some trust issues he had about what women can or cannot accept in their men. It had the usual MC violence and fight with those darn Shirleys, as well as some funny moments when the tough bikers get put in their places by their women and kids. All in all, I really loved Whip's book and the tease about Easy's path makes me anxious for the next book in the series!

I really enjoy that these books/series are bigger than just the main couple. The issues with Hillbilly Hill and it's occupants are coming to a head and that causes Whip and his new love interest, Fallon a big issue, after all she's an outsider and that's 'club business'. I liked that Fallon was outside the normal biker chick vibe, she's a successful business woman much like Reilly, and she's old enough to have some life experience.
Well written and enjoyable and I like the continuing connection with the Dirty Angels. I look forward to Easy's book but will be sad when the series finishes.

You had me at reverse age gap! I love a good Older Women Younger Man story
You would think since this is #11 in the series that the stories would not be as intense or keep a great storyline but again Jeanne blows you away from the beginning where she does go into the characters backstory in what made them, them. This is no different for Whip then how she started with Book #1 in the series. There are also these little details she does for the women characters is they always have something to bring to the table in each one of these books and Fallon is no exception. Also the Storyline that has started since book one with the Shirley's is still happening and Jeanne flows that threw each book and each couple while keeping you hooked on them she is also keeping you interested in the backstory as well. Fallon is lost in her head a lot will Whip be able to break her free? Once again you have blown a reader away, it doesn't matter what number of book in the series you keep the reader hooked and engaged with you wonderful storytelling!

Loved the hot, fast, slow romance of these two seeming opposites! A solid 4 1/2…but something held me back…not sure what it was.

Whip hasn’t had the easiest life, but he has found a home within the MC and there is nothing he won’t do for those he cares about. He is always willing to lend a hand so when he sees a sexy stranger stranded on the side of the road he doesn’t hesitate to assist, and his life will never be the same.

Fallon may not know what her future holds but the one thing she does know that it will be much different from her past. She and Whip are different from each other in so many ways, but they prove that together there is nothing they can’t overcome.

The characters are captivating as they take us on a suspenseful journey complete with all the feels that you won’t soon forget.

A total comfort read that takes the “older woman and younger man trope” and brings it into a exciting and sexy world of bikers and the women that love them. I’m in love with this series and the characters. I exult in hearing about prior characters and what they’re up to and how they’re growing and changing together. Whip’s been a quiet but steady presence in the background and he takes center stage here. His background is so sad and the first chapter was a doozy of a tearjerker. My poor Whip. We’re introduced to his new love interest, Fallon, a completely new character to us readers. I loved her. She’s perfectly ready for Whip in her life. She knows who she is and what she wants. Whip is more along for the ride. The plot line continues from previous books and it’s exciting and thrilling. The only thing that makes me sad is the series is coming to an end. I’m so ready for Easy’s story though.

2.5 Stars. This is another one that I don't think lived up to the first books. Although, I can say I felt some chemistry between the MC's the constant comparisons to his relationship and feelings for Billie and Liz from Whip was overwhelming and made me feel like he was trying to talk himself into his feelings. I need another obsessive love like Trip and Stella or Sig and Red. Somewhere that magic has been lost in the relationships, which are usually just too much "opposites attract" that don't make sense and also ask too much of the women for the men they love who have to sacrifice nothing.

Fallon had such a HUGE chip on her shoulder (I get it, it's understandable) that I couldn't see her actually being okay with the MC lifestyle and male dominated hierarchy. While it may have a "be free" motto, the overall relationship is not about equality at all. You can proclaim the "sisterhood" are strong and independent but when push comes to shove and decisions are made, none of that matters, they fall in line even against their better judgement, I.e. Rook and Jet. Fallon gave up one life and slid right into the same thing. These guys are all going to be happy to let her use her financial background and skills to grow their money but she'll never be invited to be the actual treasurer solely because she's a woman. There can be no argument that any of the men are better qualified for any reason other than possessing a penis It's EXACTLY what she left behind.

The plot for the hillbilly mountain was super ridiculous. In what cult world would those women and children not speak up about their kidnappers? C'mon. Those guys would all be in jail if anyone tried to actually do what they did and leave witnesses like that. It was eyerollingly absurd. The Shadow Security guys would never have agreed to that plan. Also, I'm seriously disappointed that Scar didn't end up a misunderstood, loyal member that would get his own book someday and find love. I was a little invested in that possibility.

The epilogue is one year later and it's extremely unfulfilling. There is no hint at what happened to Gabi, how Red/Sig are doing with their hands full and seemed to imply that Fallon

Also, I've read all The Blood Fury books, I don't remember any of them when Stella had her baby or when Reece had hers... do I just not remember those scenes or are they not in the prior books?

Have to admit, I'm not all that excited about Easy's book. Haven't we already done "off limits" to death? Can the growing girls get out of their teen/early 20's before they get tied down? Can any of them meet people outside of their small world and make mistakes or learn some life lessons?

Loved every word

I love each of the characters in this series but I just found a new favorite with Whip. His early years were hell but they didn't make him mean or hard. He's all Blood Fury MC but there's a sweetness to him that draws people around him. As one of the mechanics in Dutch's garage he's taking a customer's motorcycle for a test run when he comes across Fallon. Her sled is broken down right at the entrance to the hillbilly mountain. He not only offers to help but makes damn sure he doesn't leave her alone where the Shirleys can get to her. She's 7 years older but Whip finds he's into older women. The attraction is mutual and they make the most of their time together. It was only meant to be a fling but it turns into so much more. In the meantime the MC makes plans to get rid of the Shirleys once and for all. It's an awesome story and well worth reading.

Phenomenal! Amazing! Brilliant!

Oh my gosh!!! How does one put in to words a book that will be sticking to their soul for years to come? I’m not sure but I’ll give it a try.

Jeanne St. James is one of my most favorite authors of all time - that stretches across all genres. I’m a tremendous fan of all of her books and the MC universe she has created is so real that it feels like you are visiting with old and dear friends every time a new book is released.

If I had to use one word to describe Whip and Fallon’s story, I don’t think I could. It will make you cry - happy and sad tears. You’ll laugh, so hard sometimes. You will absolutely squeal out loud with excitement when you realise what visiting friends are in this book. You won’t be able to wipe the smile off your face in some parts. In other parts, you may have to put the book down to deal with the enormity of emotions you’re feeling. I guarantee you’ll be angry in another part - so terribly mad and betrayed. In the end, you’ll have a HEA that will require more tissues to gather up all the happy tears.

This book is all about family, a very important kind - the kind you chose for yourself. I am really struggling to find adequate words to describe how utterly amazing this book is. This may be my absolute favourite in the whole extended universe.

Whip & Fallon bk11

💖 JSJ!!!
Her books read so smoothly, to smoothly because u like get caught up in the story, the family and before you know it you've come to the end of the book😖😞😢 But there's always the HEA so it leaves u with a smile on ya face.

Trouble brewing up Hillbilly mountain, trouble The Fury can't ignore anymore so look To The Shadows for help.
Whip recently met Fallon on Hillybilly road, instantly there was something there didn't matter she was a little older than he. She would only be sticking around while he fixed Agnes for her but the more time they spent together the more their feelings for each other grew.
But with trouble round the corner nothing goes smoothly.
Well done Jeanne St James another Amazing book in a Fantastic series. Thank u.x

A Cute MC Story...
Once you read the book, you know why the word cute, and MC shouldn't be together in the same sentence but can still work. Whip and Fallon are just that. While you might think this is a cougar story, I truly don't think 7 yrs. is that much of a difference nor is it really out in the forefront within the story as much as they are from different worlds and upbringings and their mutual attraction just seems to click.
I liked that there wasn't a lot of subterfuge and they both were very direct.

Refreshing, sweet and entertaining. That's what I think of this story. I looked forward to Easy's adventure in Manning Grove.

While I read this via Kindle Unlimited, I think it well worth your time and if necessary, your $$.

5 Stars: Kindle Unlimited Read

The Blood and Bones series is one of my favorites. I habe enjoyed getting to know a few of the brother and like so many other fallen hard for hero and Whip is no different. Extremely swoon worthy.

What makes Whips story just a bit better than all the rest... The age gap romance. Only this time its the woman with a younger man. That is if you would call 7 years an age gap... I don't but many will when the woman is the elder in the relationship.

Recommend: Anyone who has started the Blood & Bone series or a reader looking for some panty melting hotness.

Just love this series. I love how Jeanne always integrates the models on her covers with the characters' personality & looks. The models' smirk on the front is so well played in this book. Whip & Fallon are just great. Hilarious inner monologue on both sides, seriousness when needed & last but certainly not least is the HEAT 🔥 Always love getting to see all the other relationships in the series as a way of keeping the readers in the know of what's gone on since you read about them. Thanks for another great one Jeanne 😊

This is one of Jeanne St..James best Blood Fury MC novels to date. Whip is an easy going, quick to smirk , good humored mechanic that works at Dutch's garage. Whip not only works on cars but his passion is repairing motorcycles. Whip, while test driving a bike he's been repairing, comes across a stranded biker at the foot of Hillbilly mountain.. With the Furys on going died with the Shirley clan, Whip is not comfortable leaving Fallon alone with her broken down Indian. Whip is strongly taken with the older woman, can he balance some romance while the MC is planning the final eradication of the Shirley clan. The Guts and Glory security team makes an appearance to help insure the mountain explodes right on cue. Loved this book.

Whip is a man who is not looking for anyone permanent. While some of his other Blood Fury MC members have taken the relationship road, he is content to remain a man loving amd leaving women at his leisure. That is, until he sees her.
Tired of the demoralizing, hypocritical misogynistic men who beat their chests and explain that the little women do not belong in the business world, Fallon left it all behind. Now, she is on the road for self-discovery. When her bike decides it needs a break, she finds herself being saved by the most unlikely hero.
Whip and Fallon begin a dance of sensuality, heat, and enough passion to choke a succubus. But once Fallon's bike is fixed, will she say goodbye to the handsome biker for good?
As always, Jeanne St. James blows my mind. Her tales have a hedonistic way that holds true for how the characters are. It is the perfect blend of love, angst, danger, and manliness. The men of St. James’ MC books always portray a unique balance of being tough when they need to be and soft as a whisper when the story calls for it. Whip is another delectable tale that incorporates all the heat, passion, and love that St. James is known for. If you want to feel a sensuous slap of your reading palette, I highly suggest you grab Whip and get ready!

It was that good!

I was not surprised at how good this book was because Jeanne St. James is just that talented . But like her other books , I enjoyed it immensely, couldn't put it down, it was that good! Love how the new characters mesh so easily with already established characters from the previous books of this series. I love these characters so much that after I read a new one, I go back to the beginning and enjoy them again. Thanks so much Jeanne for adding Whip and Fallon to a list of my favorites.

Another trip to Manning Grove and seeing how the Blood Fury MC is faring. We get Whip’s story and boy is it hot. This will be an age gap story (older woman/ younger man). I love how Fallon is curious about everything and learning about the MC life. Though he might hate it but Whip is so cute! Just love how he progresses with Fallon and slowly realizes he loves her. There is a surprise visit from In the Shadows Security that finalized the Hillbilly Hill issue. Whip and Fallon are so real with each other that you can’t help but root for these two.

Blood and Bones:Whip

Hard to believe that this is book 11 in the blood and bones series. It is going to be so hard to see it end. I hope like her other series, Jeanne St. James gives the characters appearances in her next series. The Fury MC continues to amaze me and I can't love Manning Grove much more. I wish it was a place I could visit. Whip and Fallon have a great age-gap story. Fallon is another very strong woman to join the Fury sisterhood. The appearance from Diesel, Mercy & the boys made this a perfect ending for those on hillbilly hill.

Oh my heart

Whip is so darn sweet. Finding Fallon made him even sweeter. Whip was never as some of the other men, but just as stubborn and protective. The love of these two was explosive, real, comply amazing and true. Infinity Will never be a problem for them, they belong as one forever and beyond. They quickly became o e of my favorite couples. I hope there is more of them to come.

In book eleven of the Blood Fury MC series we get Whip and Fallon's story and I loved it! This is an older woman/younger man, opposites attract, delicious journey of love. From the action packed story to the instant connection and steamy chemistry between Whip and Fallon this book held my attention from beginning to end. This is one of those books that once you start reading you better have set aside time because you aren't going to put this book down until the last page. It is an emotional read about two people who are total opposites but they are so perfect for each other. They so deserved to get a happily ever after and I was cheering them on to get it. Blood & Bones Whip is a great addition to the series and I can't wait to read the next book in this series.

Jeanne pulls out all the stops on this doozy of a book!
Whip is out test driving a bike when he comes across a biker broken down on the side of the road. The biker would be broke down on Hillbilly Hill….is it a trap? Lucky for Fallon Whip stops to help and as Dutch always say he is an “idiot savage” when it come to working on bikes. LOL. She’s been traveling the country, but now since she’s going to have to wait for her bike to be fixed spending time with a sweet “don’t call me sweet” LOL biker could be fun.
What happens when fun turns into feels?
When circumstances intensify with the club will Whip send Fallon away to protect her and his family or will he let her in. A DEFINITE MUST READ!

I’ve patiently awaited Whips Book. However, I wasn’t sure my heart was gonna make it past reading about his history. Fallon showing up and sending Whips head spinning was amazing.

Loved the Older Woman/Younger man scenario that this book supplies us with. It makes you realize Love will happen even when your least expecting it.

I love the different backgrounds of Whip & Fallon, and yet they still make it work.

This has been a credible series, and I can’t wait to what Jeanne St. James has planned.

St. James is a powerful writer and I've been fortunate to have been reading her books since near the beginning some 40+ books ago. I like how productive she is and how perfectly edited her releases are. Each book is a great love story besides having some surprises, suspense, and even thrills! Her soulmates often seem to have nothing in common as in this story. Fallon has graduate degrees and has been a successful money manager for years until she was passed over as CEO while Whip finished high school and has been working in Dutch's garage ever since. His loyalty is to his brothers in Blood Fury MC since Trip resurrected it. But when he found Fallen stranded with her fancy new motorcycle on the side of the road while test-driving his latest repair, the attraction is immediate. Fallon makes plans to enjoy the younger man while she's waiting for parts to come in so she can get back on the road. What she didn't realize until much later was that while she had wanted to go out and see the world while she was young enough to enjoy it, she hit the jackpot and was lucky enough for the world to come to her in backwoods Manning Grove, PA. Whip proves to be the ultimate 'family man' giving himself completely!

Whip is a unique MC character and one that you will fall in love with. He has a soft side that not many people get to see. Lightning strikes fast when he meets the right women that will intrigue him and can be his equal. He is a lot like the other Blood Fury members. They are all protective, loyal, possessive and at times tender to the person they fall in love with. Whip is willing to open himself up to care for someone even if in the end he has to hurt her and himself to protect her. He will go through heartache like he has never been through in his dismal past. He feels that he is not good enough for her and does not deserve her. This is one couple I really thought might not find a future together. And what can I say about the Shirley's. Call me crazy but I like all the drama that the Shirley's add to Blood Fury lives. They always cause some kind of trouble and Hillbilly Hill will need to be dealt with one way or another.
I love this series! Every MC member is a little quirky in their own way that will keep you interested and curious to see what their future holds. This book was gifted to me and I am voluntarily reviewing.

a bumpy road with some very unexpected turns, and it was brilliantly written.

Whip was not a typical biker, as he was a bit sweeter than most of his brothers, but that made his all the more intriguing. I loved how he was just as sweet as could be but still a bad@ss biker. When he runs across Fallon it was truly meant to be. They fit together in every way. When hillbilly hill issues come into play Whip does what he has to, protect those he loves. Its a bumpy road with some very unexpected turns, and it was brilliantly written. I loved Fallon and Whip!

This book has me on the edge of my seat for more than one reason. Being the 11th book in the series the underlying arc is coming to a head. AND Whip and his forever(hopefully) are hot as hades. As with all Jeanne St James books, I am transported into a world that I get lost in. This MC is more than it's individual parts. It's the brotherhood and sisterhood that is formed by choosing family and protecting family. Whip is one of the "cute" ones but don't tell him that. He is sweet and considerate of the people around him. Not unusual for a member of the Fury but not in public. Whip comes from a home where his father was abusive so he has a larger awareness for women and children in those situations. It makes him more irresistible. I loved how he is more even tempered than his brothers are (not that I don't love them all). His laid back demeanor makes him perfect for Fallon. I adore Fallon. She is an outsider to this whole world but her attraction to Whip is almost instantaneous. He "rescues" her from her bike being broken down but that's not what tips her over. It's how sweet and cute he is and his no nonsense speech. Their age difference might be a problem in the future but for now it is what helps her to decipher when he isn't being honest. Her experience in the corporate world has made her analyze in more than one way. I totally adore her honesty as well as her ability to call him out when needed. I am loving this series and am looking forward to the next with hesitation since I know it will be the last installment. Can't we stay in this world forever? Then again, I can't wait to see what Jeanne St James comes out with next.
