Quite often, breakthrough songs are most often created as a result of a breakup. As a form of coping with the situation that has arisen, allowing the release of all the emotions that suppress the author. The same song, it’s lyrics also often heal the listener, allow them to overcome emotions, give relief and help move on.
Matteo is the lead singer of the famous band Dark Moon. On Halloween night he got stuck in an elevator with one sexy clown. Despite the short time spent together and drunkenness, he just couldn't forget her. After 6 months of searching, while visiting his brother Damian in Winter Peaks, he finally found her. Seeing her, he only believed that he wanted to fight for her and give a chance to the feeling that filled him. Lily recently ended a long relationship, to rest and heal a broken heart, she returned to her hometown of Winter Peaks. She honestly did not expect Matteo to remember her, after all, there was not even a chance to recognize her without a clown costume. While at the next meeting he sings a song at the concert about his Little Sexy Clown especially for her, there is a slight hint of hope that something might happen between them after all. If only they allowed themself to go with the flow and overcome their fears...
Matteo is the third book in the Winter Peaks series of which I have kindly received an Arc copy from the author. It's a small town, rock star romance. A lighter read full of passion, lust and desire. As well as a lot of insecurity, angst, suspense. About finding the right place, trust and solace. Perfectly capturing and describing emotions, blended with flawless writing.

Lilly was just getting over a ten year relationship that left her with nothing. Matteo was just getting over being dumped by his girlfriend when a broken elevator leaves these two stuck for a couple of hours. Lilly recognized him right away because he’s her favorite musician. His songs had helped her with moving on. When Matteo kissed her and she told him a few truths, he couldn’t get away from her fast enough. The elevator doors were barely open and he ran, but six months later he’s still thinking about that kiss and those lips. Luckily fate takes a hand and rockstar meets killer clown again. I love that he’s been looking for her and when he finds out who she is, he can’t stop planning and obsessing about her- the anticipation is killing me. When these two got together it was explosive and I thought my kindle would melt for sure. Their phone sex was even hotter and so sexy. I love this couple and I love the band. I seriously hope the author writes about each of them because Lex and Xavier sound so damn cute when he calls her mi corazon! I loved loved loved this book and I’m giving it five stars. I’m also highly recommending it to everyone who love their rockstar romance reads.

I loved this book! Lily with her sassy personality, and Matteo with his drive to find his sexy clown and how he involved everyone to help find her. You know how you anticipate how things will play out, not this book, the surprises kept coming.

This is a second chance love story. Matteo and Lily each thought they had met the loves of their life. Following ugly breakups, they meet by chance in an elevator. Matteo is an up and coming rock star living in LA, and Lily is a tattoo artist who left the big city behind to join her brother in a family business in her home town. Fate brings them together again after not seeing each other for several months. With help from his bandmates and his best friend Alexia, they finally work out their differences and overcome their fear of relationships. We all need a best friend like Alexia!
This book read well as a standalone, but I am curious to read the prior books in the series as we learn that Matteo's brother and Lily's sister are also a couple. It seems a little strange that Matteo and Lily wouldn't have previously met or been aware of their siblings relationship.

After both have been treated badly by their exes Matteo and Lilly´s relationship seems to start off as a rebound. They soon realize they have deep feelings for each other but their interfering scheming exes make their way to a HEA even harder: they have to build trust, they have to figure out how to make a long distance relationship work with Matteo´s touring with his band. Fortunately they have the support from their siblings and friends. I liked the support they all showed the couple, including telling your friends truths they might not want to hear but really have to think about.

But both can not forget the kiss and chemistry and Matteo is looking for her...

Matteo is the latest of this extended family saga to find happiness, eventually, with Lily. New rockstar and tattoo artist, they seem just right for each other. They "meet cute" on Halloween when she is in a clown costume in a stuck elevator. They neglect to get information from the other, so they live on fantasy for six months, until they accidentally find each other when he visits his brother in her hometown. Both are getting over terrible relationships with others and are afraid of new love. I liked how Anna Castor writes the characters as they change and figure out how to be together when their professions would keep them apart. How they deal with the exs is fun to watch as well. Lots of hot sex, for those who like that!

Matteo meets Lily in an elevator. A chance meeting but after he walks away he wants to find her again, and is surprised to find her in the small town where his brother is staying.
He is a rock star and going on tour, and she has a tattoo studio in her home town, so do they have a chance together long term.

Very much enjoyed this story and the characters. It was nice to be back in Winter Peaks getting to see some familiar faces.
The vengeful side would have liked to see our exes get their comeuppance but I can live with that.
The story was engaging and had the right balance of storyline and steam to keep you entertained.
I did find the editing a bit rough though even for an ARC. Another pass-through would have made a huge difference

I really enjoy ensemble series. It’s real life that one person’s family and friends interact - friendship, love, break-ups - all interconnected. Lily and Matteo each had a past - lovers who had been selfish and self-centered, not selfLESS and who, like bad pennies, seemed to turn up just to cause trouble. I loved how Lily stuck up for what SHE needed, no longer a doormat. And Matteo finally realized that he also had to be true to himself and that his ex had never really been there for him. Loved the story - the hurts, anger and misunderstandings, all just touched me. Great book!

Musician Matteo and Tattoo Artist Lily have both recently been dumped when they end up stuck in the same elevator for a few hours. The kiss is memorable and so is her clown costume, but due to conversations, he bolts the second the doors open. Six months later he finds her in the same town as his brother and plots to be with her again.
The characters are heartwarming with all their emotions raw from relationship issues, trying to move forward. The storyline worked well and the banter was great. Loved how the band members and family were so close and helped get them together. The ending fit perfectly.

Another great book from this author. Matteo and Lily have both been in long term relationships that weren’t good for them. A chance meeting in a lift that broke down changed their lives forever. This is a sweet sexy story of them getting a second chance at love and finding out what real love should be like. Couldn’t put this book down and eagerly waiting to see if Mason and Xavier get their stories!

This is first book I've read by Anna Castor. Matteo is book three of the Winter Peaks series. This book is about Matteo, lead singer of the band Dark Moon, who has a chance encounter with Lily, a tattoo artist. There are ups and downs in their relationship journey until love prevails. I enjoyed this book very much.

What a book this was with Lily and I so loved her sass. Matt certainly met his match with her. I love how we still get the other characters and I am hoping that Mason will get a book soon and I would love to see Xavier get a book too.

Mizz Anna gave birth to a tattoo goddess named Lily & she looks so enticing & beautiful with all her skull, flowers, vines & heart. Matteo is a up & coming rockstar, but his family history has scarred him deep inside. Lily & Matteo meet in a outrageous situation via an elevator on Halloween,but Matteo can't get the sexy little clown or the feel of her lips out of his head. Thus begins the cat & mouse game with lots of help from Matteo's injured brother & his chosen family, his band. This book is quick, steamy and what I look for in a romance. Matteo and Lily are perfect together and I love the relations they have with each other and their families.
The pictures above the chapter headings are so gorgeous I drooled when I saw them and would give the book five stars because of that, but the story matched the pictures.
All I will say is I love Matteo, he’s such a sweetheart and at least he’s willing to fight for his girl.
If you’re looking for a steamy romance or looking for a new rockstar to fall in love with or a fierce heroine who’s not afraid to show off her tattoos then this is the book for you.

I had delayed reading this as the cover and blurb made me expect a sweet small town slow burn, I was wrong to wait and in my expectations. This was much steamier and more tattooed strong woman vs rockstar, much more my type of book!! This was my first Anna Castor but if we get more of Dark Moon then it won't be the last.

Rock star Matteo and tattooist Lily are likable characters, both all too familiar with heartbreak. Matteo is sure Lily is the one for him and he is all in, but Lily isn't sure she wants to put her heart on the line again. Their story is a fun, sexy, sweet romance. It's the 3rd book of the series and just as enjoyable as the first two. Looking forward to Owen's story.
