Fae Warriors #2

Destruction

Rate this book
The funny thing about the future is that it is never in your grasp. It is always something just out of reach. If I had thought I would have a moment of happily-ever-after, that thought was destroyed within minutes of trying to reach for it. I was a pawn in everyone’s plans. I wasn’t sure which direction I should trust. I just found out my mom isn’t my mom, and my best friend is a Demon Hunter.

The Unseelie wanted me for something. The Gods seemed to have their own plan for my future as well. The Fae Warriors say they want to protect me. That they want to keep me safe but are they pawns in this game too?

On top of all of that, I've just been summoned by the Royal Fae Rulers of the Realm. And they expect me to compete in a competition to become the Fifth Protector. They can't find out what or who I am, or I will be killed. How did I get to this point? How do I survive all of this?

I was so disappointed with Auberon this book, i mean c'mon he literally cheats or don't do anything to stop it and she looks at him and see a wounded puppy so she forgives him. I'm so sick and tired of the back and forth with not trusting her, first kellan, than Cassian and now Auberon. Lux is officially my favourite, i hate how A just decided that he couldn't trust her and treat her badly. But hey no worries his wolf protect her so everything is forgiven. But that ending though! I still love this book

In this book we see Brook really turn into a fierce little warrior. She's become protective of her men (just as protective as they are), she has come into her power and is ready to take her birthright. She is tested and thrown into situations that have her wanting to miss her mundane life as a human. We see the men open up to her more and watch them all fall head over heels in love. This book is super fast paced - in the first one I was worried that it was going too fast, and we were just zooming past theses events. It really works though. We aren't spending chapters discerning every detail, we are just thrown into the action and watch Brook kick some ass and save some, too. I enjoy how well this book flows and the continuous world building along with characters development

Almost the same review as the last one.

A little predictable, generic and a bit repetitive but still enjoyable.

There definitely was more development in the characters and their relationship although it felt a little rushed.

There are some plot holes if were being honest.
-Is Raven dead? Is she going to get her memories through Brook? Was her character just for fun?
-Is Rissa really dead?
-Who’s the real enemy?
-Are the unseelie really bad or just misunderstood?
-Is Rissa the fifth of the unseelie princes?
-Where is the old king?
-Is the soulmate topic going to be addressed?
-Didn’t the mention wings?
-I know is silly to ask but did she learned magic as if by magic?

So many questions and so little answers.

I’m in awe of how much emotion and drama there is in every relationship between each character. I could literally feel every emotion and more suspense towards the end of the story.

This book….

This is a very fast paced book. Lots of stuff happens and it flows easily. The ending has me thankful I already have the next book in the series as history is repeating itself.

Easy read but not much of a build up. It felt like some scenes were out of place. But I still enjoyed the story

Liked it, but kind of the same as the first book and therefore a bit predictable. At the same time still curious about book 3 so not that bad.
