A team of special operators manage multiple threats across the globe and are guided by the unseen hand of The Warlock. The operators and supporting CIA technical enablers pursue a menace financed and controlled by the Quds Force of Iran as they bring justice and retribution to finally close the ledger for the tragic Beirut bombing of 1983.The troika of Iran/Russia/Turkey emerges. The team's actions range from Kurdistan to Pakistan and beyond to counter this alliance's quest for dominance. As the prequel to Las Vegas on Twelve Dollars a Day, several characters are brought to the forefront, and a new strategy is pursued.
This is the second of the Warlock series. For those reading this wonderfully written novel recently, it reads like recent current events. The book predates those recent events. Objectives remain objectives until achieved when thwarting and stymying one’s adversary or adversaries. As with the first book, the reader gets an excellent insight into the application of technical knowledge, tradecraft and soldiering that has to be applied to “Mission Impossible” type missions. As someone that has to get deep into technology professionally, Mike’s grasp with the details is solid. And the breadth across technical disciplines he wields is so very impressive. I am on to the third book, “The Baltic Chain” and am looking forward to more! Do yourself a favor, get and read this series. You will not be disappointed.
