So what do you do when your boyfriend wants out of the relationship so bad that he asks to be traded from the team? Sure he plays hockey for the team her father owns and the team she also happens to work for. Even so, this was something Vera never saw coming. Vera is a boss in her own right. She heads up marketing for the team and she's paid her dues. In business, Vera is cunning, articulate and ruthless and she is more than prepared to use these assets to win Henry back, or at the very least show him what he was missing.
Brett is approached by Vera at a bar. He's exactly what Vera needs. Problem solved...well, not so fast. Brett is not the guy you use for revenge. He's the guy you get revenge on. King of the one night stands, no strings attached kind of guy. He's sees what's in it for Vera, but it's what's in it for him that has him more open to the idea and now it was time for Brett to use that to his advantage.

Vera and Brett! Vicious and amazing!
Revenge can turn people miserable and in trouble. When Vera is humiliated by Henry she needs to find away to seek revenge. Brett and his boys are making fun of Brett being used for being nice to Darlene. Vera jumps at the opportunity of what she heard. And this is where their relationship starts and it vets so interesting. So many surprises!!!

Fabulous read
Nearly stop reading this book as the character Vera was really bugging me but I fought through, it was the best decision I made. Brett and Vera story is different but you do end up lol definitely worth a read 4 1/2⭐️

wow, this was different
This book was definitely a change from other books I’ve read. The two main characters are one of a kind. I absolutely loved the push and pull Brett and Vera had. So glad the two worked it out. Absolutely loved the ending.
