Hi, I'm M.M. Crumley Your Author Extraordinaire (Also Known as M.M. Boulder)
As M.M. Crumley I write Urban Fantasy books full of supernatural action, nail-biting-mystery and; laugh-out-loud humor. Why? Because stories, myths, and legends have always been a huge part of my life... As a child, I liked nothing better than to lose myself in a world where magic and heroes were part of the fabric of existence.
As my pen name M.M. Boulder I write psychological thrillers and murder mysteries that bring the darker impulses we may not feel completely comfortable with into the light. My stories are full of lies and deaths, but there is always justice. A type of justice that's not afraid to get its hands dirty. I write morally ambiguous characters who are pushed to their limits and take matters into their own hands. In my world getting away with murder has never been so much fun!
No matter what I write every one of my characters are real to me. They exist. They are three-dimensional beings who demand that their stories be told. If I were to turn away from them, they would haunt me; and so I don't. Instead I chase after them and write down everything they say!
I have several series to help you scratch your itch for adventure: THE HOUSE OF GRAVES Series THE IMMORTAL DOC HOLLIDAY Series THE LEGEND OF ANDREW RUFUS Series JANEY FALKE: SAINT KILLER Series (Coming Soon) Five Deliciously Dark Psychological Thriller Novels And More...

MM Crumley does not disappoint! Another amazing Doc Holliday book — I only wish it was longer. In this book we learn more about the special relationship between Jervis and Doc. We also learn a lot more about the questions raised by the last book. We get new characters, learn a little more about current characters, laugh, cry and have a great time. Empire is the sixth book in The Immortal Doc Holliday series by M. M. Crumley.
This book only reiterates how much I need to reach Andrew Rufus' series to learn more about Doc Hollidays past and this mysterious man that seeks to be such a pivotal person in shaping the man Doc is in this series.
I can't decide if Doc will ever find romantic bliss. It's becoming more and more obvious that Aine and Doc are unlikely to have that type of relationship. He's something of a grandfather for her, but he freely admits that the classification of that title doesn't fully apply, and that Aine has struggled to see him in an only familial role. She very obviously crushes on him. I can't think of anyone else who would even qualify besides one character I will truly miss from these pages.
Tucker was an interesting development. A ten-year-old ghost in a grown man's body, that's sort of necromancer because he can see other ghosts. But can he actually raise the dead? That a house that has a spirit of its own, is wildly fascinating. I hope to see more of both Apolo and Tucker in the future.
I do wonder whom the Sons of Solomon are? Doc mentions Jervis having spoken of them before... But I can't remember if it's something I've physically read, or if it is something to do with Jervis' past we, as the reader, do not know yet?
Most importantly, for this entire book: What is up with Doc's Throne in the Dreaming?
Doc is suffering as the Tetrarch, holed up in the office and slowly dying. The Black Shaman has connected to him and is slowly draining his immortality. He has to figure out a way to free her but really has no idea. Eventually his friends get him on track and a plan is made. This book has a lot about the relationship between Doc and Jervis, how they met and other interesting things about them. It also has more about Doc’s relations ship wit Andrew – I’m definitely going to have to read those books. Jury is stilly his complaining self with the great interactions. This book has action, mystery, strange locations, suspense, surprises and humour. It is a fun, fairly quick read. I won’t say it’s an easy read because there is so much involved. But very good.
Book six Doc journey continues, time travel play a part in this one but only because Doc meet Andrew in the past but now in his current time many years later and Andrew long died, he is in Andrews time before Andrew became more and travels back.we don't meet Andrew, but Doc finds himself having to help things along on the bad side so Andrew steps up and becomes more, if he do not meet Andrew in the past he would of not taken the journey he is on and all the good doc has done will be wiped.Plus Andrews destiny and all the good he does. Poor Doc, this ends with a little nudge cliff hanger with the sons of soloman
Doc is back, petulantly ignoring his duties as Tetrarch, becoming more and more mortal as he wrestles with the Black Shaman and his conscience. He needs a necromancer and a plan or life as he knows it will cease to exist or will it? And what about Andrew? Jury? He could end up dead or married and then dead. And how is Doc going to change the Hidden society?
Like a true gambler, Doc Holliday is loved and despised my many, many people. He has an excess of luck that almost never runs out. Eventually, he will have more assassins than friends. I can imagine our author, M.M. Crumley, giggling with glee as she comes up with one situation after the other that Doc has to extricate himself from. Hopefully, his stories will never end.
This was a tense book in the Doc Holiday series. We get more back story along with new characters to learn about. Tis was a little more intense than other Doc books but to tell this story it was required. A great story and I can't wait for the next one!!
Something about this series just clicks. Doc is as interesting as ever and it is fun to learn about how he and Jervis first met. In some ways, this story is more of a set up for the next book but it is still a tall tale worth reading.
Not going to give it away, but you REALLY need to read the legend of Andrew Rufus. This book stitches s lot of stuff together. Found my self going, Ahhh! That explains it.
Have loved this series so far. Doc Holiday of OK Corall fame as an Immortal being a hero if at times a reluctant one he always realizes if not him then who. He prevails no matter the odds as if Lady Luck sits on his shoulder.
Okay, so Doc goes back to being immortal. It was interesting to see how he worked being human. Also, it goes to show, just because something is vile, good can come from it. Also, why do these books have to end on something so good!!!!!!;;

Please read this book and the series, I promise it is worth the effort. I really love Doc and his pals and the adventures they get car up in. Truly a great read.
This is a fascinating series! Lots of action and of course, Doc Holliday! The scraps he gets into and drags his friends through, makes for a good read!
