When it comes to motley crews, the Blackout has most starships beat. But as a ruthless force swarms over the quadrant, crushing and enslaving all civilizations in its path, it falls to this unlikely band of non-heroes to turn the tide. If they don't kill each other first. Onward , the sixth book in the Blackout series, is old-fashioned space opera at its best, perfect for fans of action-packed drama and fun! The Blackout series is an homage to thrilling pulp sci-fi of yesteryear. If you're interested in hard science fiction look elsewhere. But if you're looking for action-packed adventures on strange worlds with even stranger aliens, this series is for you!
Jackson and his crew are back for more fun times. It starts out hot and gets better from there. As usual the gang is looking for a safe place to land but of course things go sideways fast. Factions causing chaos and the crew trying to survive it all. Lots of fun and entertaining to read as usual. Had to see what would go wrong this time around and what Jackson and his crew would face too. Ending was a hoot. Way to much fun to read.
This book was a good read and had some funny parts in it also. The crew. Is separated from each other or most of them are and you find out some secrets along the way. They end up back together near the end of the book but the book had a lot going on such as land battles a well as space battles .
Following Eclipse book 5 of the Blackout series, I just can not get enough of Daniel Young's books. I read every one usually in one or two nights. They are like a movie you are watching in your head and you don't want to get up to pee.
Entertaining as always. Jackson and his crew try to land but of course things never go right. Absolutely caught up with the plot and the characters. Impossible to not enjoy the series.
