Melody Walker has a dark history. It's only been three years since she was bitten by a rogue werewolf, and her husband was killed. Gunner Newsom didn't expect to meet his mate when his pack took over the community at Rhodes, but he's grateful for the gift of her. She's everything he's ever wanted. Witty, resilient, and sexy as hell. There's just one thing that stands in his way. His female is fighting to protect her only child, a little girl who's in danger of being given to her paternal grandparents as she's human and her mother is a werewolf.
What belongs to him, he loves, cherishes, and keeps. Not only will he claim the mate he's been given, but he'll also protect the daughter he's accepted as his own. He'll kill anyone or anything that attempts to stand in his way.

A well written book. The characters are likable and their connection is built throughout the book, which I really liked. The storyline is intriguing and kept me turning the pages.
This is the story of Gunner and Melody. Gunner is the Beta of the new alpha of Melody’s pack. Melody was a “bitten” not “born” werewolf. She had been attacked by a rogue werewolf when her daughter was still very young. As a result she had lost everything. Her husband had died trying to save them during the attack. She had lost her job as a Registered Nurse because she was now considered to be a werewolf. She lost her apartment and friends because everyone was now afraid of her. She took her savings and moved her daughter and herself to pack lands. She met Gunner when he came to visit to let her know the new alpha wanted to meet her. He immediately recognized her as his mate. And, the story goes on. There are sexual scenes that may offend some readers.
Of the series to-date, Claimed is 100% the most well-written. The emotional journey that Melody takes is done really well and watching Gunner fall for Melody and her daughter was swoon inducing.
I am SO ready to find out more about Stone and Garnett, Merrick, Issac, and Moira. Claimed did a great job setting up future stories.
What I loved most about this book were it's character and their story. Gunner is everything I look for in a shifter hero: strong, protective, loyal, assertive, and dominant without being bullish. I loved that the book begins with him knowing right away that the heroine is his mate, and he can't wait to claim her and her child.
I find that a lot of books in this genre have little content story wise, and are mostly filled with tons of gratuitous sex scenes. It wasn't the case here. I appreciated that this had a great fleshed out story, and that there weren't any childish conflicts. The H and h were more mature and issues were actually talked about in order to resolve them. There weren't any real opportunities for jealous scenes , but Gunner was definitely protective of his new family.
I also loved how the author was able to add secondary characters that were intriguing enough that I now want their story as well. The book finished on a great note, with a perfect epilogue.
If you're a fan of PNR or shifter books, Definitely give this book and author a try!

The fourth of the “Wolf Den” series. Ranked 3.5 out of 4 stars. For my personal taste this installment didn’t quite rise to the level of books two or three. The author has begun expanding the world adding additional paranormal characters. I’m down for the world building. However it feels as though the author has lost a bit of the passion for the Wolf Den story arch that previous books embodied. I was very drawn to the story synapsis but at the conclusion felt that the author didn’t fully dive as deep for this installment, but of if a shame.
If you pick up any of the “Wolf Den” books your bound to enjoy the story, characters and romantic sizzle. I will be checking out the authors other series.
9/10 New arc, new characters, new and wonderful possible tales uncovered. This tale opens so many new avenues for this series, possibly more than should be. This tale is busier than the others introducing another town and it's citizens. While this is great, why are we abandoning the characters who are already set up in our towns. I hope we get closure on the open tales before moving on to the new town.
This book felt split between a character we didn't really know well as a MMC and the new FMC and the MMC's sister and her newly introduced type of paranormal love interest. I would have loved the story to stay on track with one and introduce the others more slowly and fully. It felt like there were some contrived situations to set up potential future story arcs. I get wanting to expand the world of your stories but it could have been more smoothly achieved.
Yet another good book in this series. While I enjoyed Gunner and Melody’s story for the most part, once again I became more interested in the supporting characters.
As always with Aline Hunter, I loved it. She definitely brings a unique flair to books about the supernatural. It's refreshing. I'm so excited to see what she has in store next!
Interesting read on Gunner with his mate and adopted daughter. He was so caring for Melody and her daughter. Look forward to reading more about the other characters. Definitely would like to get Merrick's story eventually.
Stone and light wardens in general are litterally what killed it for me. It's the worst addition to a story I've ever read. They don't seem to belong in this series at all, and everything about them are just stupidly overpowered and moronic.
Gunny is the best :D Bebe is so cuuute Does the 5th book even exist? what happens with Stone? I need a continuation.. Low key wanna Merric's story and Isaac's too
