You know, just some quick meaningless smut for in between. This was more of the odd dull kind, but I still have hope that the series might have a few surprises up its sleeve.
I put my hesitation aside and lower my gaze toward the thick, stallion phallus. Still clothed, it bounces up and down as Caio laps at the balls, shamelessly adoring the sweaty taste and masculine scent. I want it too. 😳🤤

Further on their quest the boys learn how to combat incubi in a hot encounter with the knowledgeable and commanding Janus, the sexiest character so far in this series. Humorous jealousy, and sensual submission and control.

Surrounded by dusty red desert, hot and harsh rays from the sun rain down on the men. It’s been several weeks since Heath and Caio left the cabin in the woods (read: end of book two). Caio is absorbed in the book that the wizard gifted to him.
They reach the city of Vero; Heath requests an audience with The Prophet.
It’s refreshing to read something gay and erotically-charged that also happens to be exceptionally well-edited.
Heath’s acknowledgement of how being out is an adjustment…this is welcome. The straight female writers who overwhelm the genre fail to realize that gay men don’t just “come out once.” It’s ongoing, even for those of us who never vacillated or went back into the closet. We continue to come out every day.
With a dire warning, the priest escorts the boys to the top of the church’s tower; the shrine awaits there.
The images carved into the walls of the shrine are extremely provocative.
Janus is hot. 🥵

Janus explains how the incubus gathered power. Accurate reactions of the guys—the lust, the jealousy.
Excellent descriptive detail. Nice dirty talk, too. Anatomy, physiology, verbiage—all correct.
The guys learn the secret to disarm the incubus. Witty, sexy, and, yes—enchanting.
Striking Afterword from the author. It's brave of him to share his inspirations, including a repressive Mormon upbringing. Gay realness in a fantasy series ftw.
