It needed a developmental editor and some proofing. There were so many missing words that sometimes the sentences were unreadable. Everything is shallow, and the characters' decisions made no sense because of it. There's no building the relationship, we're just told they think the other is hot, then they have sex, then they're in love. We barely witnessed two interactions between them before they had sex, and there was zero chemistry. It was bad.
The addition starts with the book cover….yeah…yeah…yeah don’t judge a book by its cover they say ….well we all do it and this one here it is the scratch to your itch or better yet the filling to your oreos! Within the first chapters you get the panoramic view of whom you’re dealing with! This is book is part of the Tracy Creek Daily series why just read one when you can start at the beginning and keep reading through the series it won’t be a waste of time. Strictly Business famous last words 😊 or so they say. Bradley sexy as all get out most recent transfer to the small town of Tracey Creek as the new fire chief, focused on his job and not expecting an attraction to anyone (fate had other plans). Laura intelligent, strong, in control (most times) and the Mayor of Tracey Creek not expecting any type of attraction either. The two have to work together as the Fire Chief and Mayor and the attraction they feel around is each is crazy as hard as they try (I stress try) to fight it. But being thrown together constantly isn’t helping either of them 😊 fate has a way of working against whatever you think you have planned and the chemistry is insanely intense and the magnetic pull have them making appointments (for nothing) just to be around each other but will they finally acknowledge the attraction, will she trust him, will he trust her (fate made it a little difficult for the both to ignore it), and can they find happiness?
Laura is Tracy Creek’s Mayor who definitely noticed Bradley, the new Fire Chief. He has noticed her as well, but neither had acted on their feelings and decide to keep things professional.
But when Laura goes to assess a major fire and a roof falls in, Bradley protects her with his body and gets her safely out of harm’s way. Despite this perhaps being part of his job, she saw how he looked at her and started to think that perhaps he had feelings for her as well. Would she let a bad experience in her past hold her back? Or will she give Bradley a chance to show her that all men are NOT identical and he should be judged on his own merits, not on her fear of what someone else did to her in her past. That makes no sense at all to assume a new love will leave you because someone else left you once before.
I also want to say that no Fire Chief would allow even a Mayor to enter a structurally unsound building where a “major fire” just took place. She would not have been authorized to enter that building – for exactly the reason of the weakened ceiling collapsing on her. I know it was to bend the story in a certain direction, but the reality is that it would not have been permitted.
'Bradley: Small Town Romance' by Emily Evans is the third book in her Tracy Creek Daily series and tells the story about Laura, the mayor of Tracy Creek, and Bradley, the new Fire Chief. They each have an attraction to the other but they have to work together so they don't act on it. Until he protects Laura from a cave in and realises he doesnt want to let go.
Ms. Evans has written a delightful addition to her series. The interactions between Laura and Bradley are sweet, hot, but businesslike. Though this book is short it has great characters, good dialogue, danger, laughs and plenty of heat. I enjoyed this book and recommend it to anyone who likes a quick but satisfying read during their glass of wine.

If you love a book that is straight to the good stuff, this is it! Bradley, a sexy new firefighter chief, has developed an attraction to the mayor, Laura. She has an attraction to him, too, but isn't sure that the feelings are mutual. They have solo meetings that allow them to spend time together without revealing the hidden sexual tension. After a quick brush with what could have ended in tragedy, the couple finally gives into those feelings. The heat is more than any fire Bradley is ever going to extinguish! But will it survive or end in ashes?
While I do love quick and to the point storylines, I would have loved a bit more to have been developed between them. Some moments were a bit too rushed for me.
I received a complimentary copy for reviewing purposes. All opinions are my own.
A great story, this is story of Laura who is mayor and Bradley who is the new fire chief. They come into contact with each other because they are both involved in the city meetings that are held monthly.
The attraction and chemistry between them is immediately present and palpable. But Bria and Braden are wary and waiting because they've both been hurt in the past.
It is a story that everyone can relate to, a beautiful storyline but also great characters and characters. they grow closer to each other, especially when something happens that brings them closer together.
This is my first book by this author and I will definitely be reading more from her.

Bradley (Tracy Creek daily series book 3) by Emily Evans is a 4 star read. Bradley Mendez is a recent transfer to Tracy Creek and is the new firefighter chief, he’s very focused on his job but his attraction to Mayor Laura is off the charts. Mayor Laura has lived in Tracy Creek her whole life, she knows everyone in town, when a new firefighter chief comes to town Laura can’t help her attraction to him. Both try to keep things professional but they’re thrown together when he saves her from a falling roof, he wants more but will Laura trust enough to let him? This was a quick page turning read, I really enjoyed it. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review of this book
I had never read a story by this author before. This was a short story that can be read as a stand-alone but is the 3rd book in a series. It was short, had something of an uplifting story but most of all it was full of unmistakable sexy and hot scenes. For me, these were well written, explicit and described from 2 POV, which gave me added value. Lust at first sight, love soon follows. Laura's insecurity at the end surprised me, luckily Brad handled it well. HEA guaranteed I give this book 3.5*
Laura is the mayor and Bradley is the new fire chief. They are involved in town monthly meetings and the two can not keep their eyes away from the other. They both have been hurt in the past so both are wary. When an incident occurs, it thrusts them closer together. The characters are strong and determined. The storyline has drama, deep feelings, surprises and steam. Loved the support and trust that came out between them. Great ending.

Laura was the town's Mayor, Bradley returns to be the Fire Chief. They both fought their reactions to each other until there was a major fire. She went to the fire and stayed until it was out. Bradley wouldn't leave until she did so when she inspected the building he was there saving her when the ceiling collapsed. She injured her leg,, he injured his arm. The next day he went to her office to check on her and their physical attraction came to head. Read how their relationship goes. Written by Cindy :)
A fast paced instalove story revolving around the Fire Chief of Tracey Creek, Bradley Mendez and Mayor Laura.
The attraction between the sexy firefighter and the curvy beautiful mayor is blatantly obvious to everyone accept to them until the sports centre nearly burns down!
Will they give into their attraction or just ignore it? Why is Laura so standoffish when it comes to the opposite sex? Will Bradley convince Laura she's his forever?
Chief Bradley and Mayor Laura have sparks but try and contain it because of their positions in the town. But a fire at one of the citys structures bring them together whether they want to or not. One thing leads to another and Bradley loves Laura and is going to propose but doesn't due to lack of communication. Great book about small town, romance and gossip.
I read an early review copy of this book for an honest review.
The third book in the series brings Laura and Bradley's story. They have a strong attraction to one another but held back due to their working relationship. The author does a great job building the story and delivers a terrific short story filled with danger, humor and heat. It moves quickly and smoothly and is a great short story.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.
This is the 2nd book iv read in this series and I am loving them Bradley is a super hot, sexy fire chief who tries to keep his feelings at bay and Laura is the strong, independent woman that he has fallen for. So many sparks and heat when these two are in the same room. It was a super sweet, sexy read and I can't wait to read more in this series.
Hot, but…. 3,5 It's a good short romance, pretty steamy. On the other hand, maybe because the story is short, it's pretty predictable and when a turnaround happens, I wondered why because it didn't seem to fit the character of Laura, the mayor who is secretly drawn to the firefighters’s chief in her town. When Bradley moves to Tracy Creek he didn’t expect to fall for the towns Mayor, Laura. He tries to keep it professional until he saves her from a falling roof. Then all bets are off.
Loved the story, sweet and sexy and love how Bradley gets under her skin. It’s also the same the other way around. Love seeing the development of their relationship. Would recommend
The Fire Chief and the Mayor of Tracy Creek a love story that almost ends in tragedy. Laura was afraid of her past, and without the help of some very special friends her past might have won. A wonderful story of Brad showing Laura you cannot live in the past.

The author has given us a fast paced, quick read that pulls us into the lives of Bradley and Laura. She is the Mayor of Tracy Creek while he is the Fire Chief. They are attracted to each other, but ignore their feelings since they do not believe the other feels the same. Can they continue holding back?

She is the mayor. He is the fire chief. When they see each other a slow burns starts. When they get together their passion ignites. Laura and Bradley's tale is a fast story with hot passion, intense moments and past feelings that might cause it to all go up in flames.
Great read when you need a break.

This fast paced short story was sweet. Bradley is the fire chief and Laura is the mayor, they have been attracted to each other from afar but never acted on it and kept their relationship professional. He could no longer pretend when she almost got badly hurt. It was a good read.
This is a quick read but it is so worth reading. It has a new chief firefighter and a beautiful mayor. They are both attracted to each other without the other knowing. Until circumstances change. Then there is nothing but steam. You can read this book in an hour so it's perfect for your lunch break

The writing draws you in and keeps you involved throughout the whole story, I found myself in love with not only the characters but also the world that was created. The descriptions of the characters and their feelings are so involved, you can truly picture it in your mind.
Laura and Bradley have each had a secret crush on each other. They both look forward to their weekly meetings. When Laura is injured in a fire, Bradley comes to her rescue. Loved watching them reveal their feelings for each other. Quick read.
