Her Deviant Dragon

Rate this book
The man I’ve been having nightly dreams about isn’t exactly the man of my dreams. Okay, so maybe he’s dangerously handsome in a dark, intense way. And given that I’m hardly the beauty to his beast , I guess I shouldn’t be judging.

I mean that literally, by the way. The beast part. At least I think dragons are considered beasts. Seeing as how I never knew dragons actually existed, let alone shifted into human form, I’m definitely not an expert. Even despite been psychically connected to him for months now .

The only thing I really know about him is that his wealth gives a whole new meaning to old money. He’s amassed an unimaginable fortune over the course of a millennium, all while searching for the one unattainable thing he wants most of all—a mate.

It’s hard enough for me to wrap my brain around a mortal as a dragon’s mate. And it’s even crazier still to think the hot new online store for bedroom fun times is run by said gruff and stoic dragon.

But the idea of me— the plump, quiet girl with the messed-up past , minimal control of her psychic visions, and zero foreseeable future for her music—being what the determined dragon has been looking for all this time? Seriously?

I’m going to need some major convincing.

…And he’s more than up for that challenge.

2.5 stars - includes spoilers

Although I have enjoyed other books by this author, this one felt disjointed and incomplete. Becca is a recovering addict with addict parents who mistreated her. She gets visions which are often just hints and are unclear. Due to a vision, she is working in a seedy bar. One night, she's compelled to play the piano while Morgan is meeting with the boss. Morgan offers her a free place to live, transportation, tuition to a music school and spending money if she promises not to do drugs or cut herself. She agrees and moves into his guest house then starts going to school where she's a star. But, she's lusting after Morgan, seeing him in her dreams/visions, and he's ignoring her.

He's has dragon blood and has a massive dragon cock that knots during sex. He's trying to find a woman who can take him and is young enough to breed. Yep, sounds so romantic. Spoiler: she orders a dildo which is in his anatomical shape, then takes all of it and posts a video of herself. He figures out it's her and realizes he can pursue her. They instantly get together and fall in love. Morgan has a lot of other shifter friends, not dragons, who also need mates they can breed with. To help find their mates, Becca has to have sex with them. That happens with one friend, but it's unknown what will happen next. They leave town, she drops out of school and that is never discussed. There is also no follow up on that other shifter she sleeps with (MFM) or the remaining shifters who need mates.

The story feels incomplete and disjointed. He should understand how miserable she is, but he makes no attempt to even have a real conversation with her until he knows she can take his cock. Hot sex - yes if you like seriously oversized cocks. Romance - no.

The perfect combination of short and sweet mixed with fantasy and spice. Engaging enough to keep my attention, the characters are likable, and there’s plenty of spice.

What an interesting story! This one was unlike any other paranormal book I've read before. It was fascinating to read this romance about a dragon and a human with special gifts. It was a somewhat intense storyline but I was relieved when Becca shared visions of the future. Then, three-fourths of the way through the book, there's an 'Uh oh' situation and wow! It was good! My favorite quote was this: "I had been born in a time when the plump daughter of a wealthy landowner was the height of desirability. Now, women made themselves miserable trying to be as thin as possible. They hid their bodies from the men who would find them desirable to avoid the scorn of those who never would." Well said!

This is one of those slooooowwwww burn stories that makes no sense. Rebecca/Becca is a recovered drug addict with really crappy drug addicted parents that abused her severely during her childhood. We know she plays the piano very well, have no clue how that came to be as most children addicts don’t generally head in that direction especially with something as expensive as a piano.

Morgan is a super-rich dragon on the hunt for his mate. After hearing Rebecca play in a seedy bar, he offers her a once in a lifetime proposal to pursue her dream of having her music take her places.

After the initial slightly intense meeting Morgan ignores Becca for 3 months, even though she lives on his property and comes to the big house to play his piano. When he does communicate with her, he’s very cold and distant. We get to spend A LOT of time in Becca’s head. She is a BBW, virgin, insert eye roll. We get nonstop insecurities and her lusting after Morgan. A bit here and there from Morgan, with vague reasons as to why he has to keep his distance. At 45% of the book these two have had very minimal interaction and a lot of supposition about what’s really going on with Morgan on Becca’s part.

Right after Becca’s recital is where the story then warps into nonstop sex. The tone of the story changed drastically, it was a bit abrupt as we went from them barely speaking to suddenly every other word from Morgan’s mouth to Becca was “baby this”, “baby that”, “I want you to take all of it baby”. It came across so cheesy and not in keeping with how he was portrayed initially. Then within minutes of him showing her any attention she is professing her love for him. “what in the world?”

There are so many things that don’t make sense in this story, like where did Becca live before she accepted Morgan’s offer? If Morgan is so rich why is he going to seedy bars to get his drugs? There are loads more questions but too many of them would give away what little of there is of the story.

So the moral is get ignored by a guy you are attracted to for three months, get spoken to like you don’t matter and when he finally says “Hello”, you profess your undying love?!!?

If your looking for smut... this might be the book for you. It's slow burn till almost the half way mark and then its just smut from there. Which in and of itself is not a bad thing... Just with the slow burn start of this book I was expecting more story building, world building, and character development which kind of failed there. It seemed like a pretty good start to the book and then just kind of flopped. I don't know if the author ran out of ideas with the story building and just decided to turn it into smut... but it didn't really work well.

I'm not really sure what happened, but I kind of ended up disappointed with the whole thing. A lot of it didn't make to much sense at all. There were many times that I was just shaking my head reading it because it just wasn't believable. One of the biggest things I had a problem with it is the main character Morgan. He uses drugs in the story and you kind of learn why... but he knows that Becca has a problems with it and doesn't want him to do them... yet he continues regardless of how she feels about it. Another thing that really bugged me is that he is supposed to be a dragon.. and yet he doesn't shift into a dragon. What the hell kind of shit is this? How can you be a dragon and not shift into a dragon? And its not like the dragon is a separate entity inside his head. or body or anything like that. I have read stories like that before and that makes sense in a way... but this just makes no sense at all. I don't know.. just left me confused and unsatisfied with this story. This story had the potential to be really good and the author just lost her way on it some where along the way.

The addition starts with the book cover….yeah…yeah…yeah don’t judge a book by its cover they say ….well we all do it and this one here it is the scratch to your itch or better yet the filling to your oreos! Within the first chapters you get the panoramic view of whom you’re dealing with! A little slow on to get started but other than that it was a pretty good. Becca hasn’t had a wonderful life in fact it was hard growing up with addicted parents, abuse and added to it all the nightly dreams and finds herself drawn to work in a rundown bar. Walks into said bar about a job when Morgan sexy as all get out the man/beast of her dreams and feels compelled to play music for him. Morgan wants her near him but believes if he were to act of his attraction, he would destroy her. So, instead he sets her up with a music scholarship, moves her in with him and tries to stay away. He has also developed a sexual test to see if she or someone in the human world can handle him and his size (who wouldn’t want his size 😊). When their romance develops, they set out to see if they can use her ability and his test to match other preternatural beings. How will they help others, where does her music take her, and can they have something more?

This book is purely erotic fantasy consisting of make believe creatures that are half human and half of something else. They are not shifters.

Because of psychic abilities, Becca has been having nightly dreams and finds herself drawn to work in a run down bar. There she comes across Morgan, the man/beast of her dreams, and feels compelled to play music for him. Morgan wants her near him, but believes if he were to act of his attraction, he would destroy her. Instead he sets her up with a music scholarship and tries to stay away. He has also developed a sexual test to see if she or someone in the human world can handle him and his size. When their romance develops, they set out to see if they can use her ability and his test to match other preternatural beings. It was an okay story, but it is basically just a book to be read for the erotic element more than anything.

Don't Bother Looking for Love . . .

Becca, former drug addict and expert pianist, has had dreams and psychic visions for her entire life. Now she is dreaming about a man who enters a bar and changes her life. When it finally happens, a slow burn relationship forms with Morgan Stern, who turns out to be a dragon looking for his mate.

I don’t think this story flows very well and does raise many questions. I didn’t feel the romance at all since the focus was on the “fit”, ignoring her until she could prove she was able to accommodate his anatomy. Then having her help other shifters in need of a mate by allowing them to give her a try… No, thanks, not in the least romantic. Will Becca and Morgan get their HEA? Will she accept that he is a dragon? (At this point, I didn’t even care.)

I really liked this book!! I normally don’t go for too many dragon shifter books but this one sounded soo good, and it was!! Becca is working in a crappy bar/strip joint as the person to clean up and sweep the floors. One fatefully epic night she meets Morgan, the owner of the club. Needless to say, this story then takes off like a rocket ship!! Full steam ahead. Becca has not had a very nice or caring life. Will Morgan step up to the plate? You’ll find out when you read this steamy, off the charts chemistry between these two. I loved it!!

So I am of two minds about this. First, super sexy times and many of them. But only in the last half of the story. Second, it is not completely well written and seems to missing in places. Rebecca is a recovering addict and incredibly talented at playing piano. But how? She sees hints of the future and places herself in the path of a mysterious man, who then ignores her for many months. Morgan is incredibly rich, has his own addiction issue, and is looking for the one to bear children and become his mate. But is also flips from ignoring his new ward to becoming overly verbose. It's an enjoyable read, and I look forward to the next in the series.

First of all I am a huge Christa fan but I have to admit I did not like this story very much. I was weird. I don’t know what the hell Morgan is. The title says he as dragon shifter but I didn’t she any real dragon characters and he never shifted. Was he a warlock or dragon? Hell he had more physical attributes of an alien. I wasn’t that fond of Becca. I found her weak and to readily accepting weirdness. I definitely am not a fan of what took place in the giant fish tank. I gave it three stars because the story itself wasn’t somewhat interesting. Until next time y’all happy reading.

An interesting story. This is a slow burn paranormal romance story. The story felt slow in some areas for me, the characters are good, the story is intense in some areas. The chemistry between these two is intense. I didn't quite understand when brought in a third into their relationship, so they could find his friend's mate? If the dragon has been waiting for centuries for his fated mate why did he share her? Interested to see where this series will go. If it is like her other series, you will be hooked.

I have read other books by this writer and enjoyed them. I cannot say the same for this book. It is a slow build, with very little interaction between the characters, and then about half way through boom it becomes very dirty and erotic. The book is not well written and does not flow well. The story is very over the top and not very believable in the least. Drug addict/piano player just jumps out at you and then throw the big V in, please. I did not care for it and had trouble finishing the story.

For me this book was just OK. There were some parts I really liked but others just didn't work for me. I did liked the characters, their chemistry and the heat they generated once things got going between them. As for the story, it was alright. Not everything made perfect sense to me and There were a lot of instances when I would have appreciated more details. So good characters + hot steam + so-so story = an OK read. This is my frank freely posted review.

What a fantastic story I loved the drama between a dragon who has been looking for his mate for a long time and when he finds her in a human woman who has visions he worries that he won’t be able to keep her happy because of the man that he is. Sorry guys no spoilers I loved this story but it was a bit slow to start but once it did it was go go go and it was super 🔥 and I recommend this book.

It started out okay, but got weird with the lizard cock, and then the MFM action in the fish tank. I don't understand how a dragon who's been waiting for centuries for his mate is just a-okay with sharing his mates asshole with his friend. Yeah...I guess he really isn't all that mad about sharing.

I read the second book about Loramon first and gave it two stars. I didn’t realize it was part of a series and didn’t know what was going on because there’s no explanation about… anything, really. This first book helps clarify a little bit, but I think this series is just not for me. I’ve enjoyed a few of the author’s other books, but not this. It seems to be an ode to some of the weird dildos you can find online and imagining a 15” circumference cock isn’t really sexy. Never mind it plus the penetration of a “mer” cock at the same time. Becca has to be dehydrated with all the “drooling” her pussy did - hope she’s drinking plenty of water.
