Her Future Vampire Lover
I am a Queen and yet I’ve never been outside my palace.
My court uses my magic to govern without me and won’t let me disobey.
And now they want me to marry someone I’ve never met -- a vampire whose spirit was trapped in a statue, eons ago.
I know he’ll wake up dangerous and hungry, for my blood and more.
But if I can tame him, and he can trust me, I just might really get to rule.
Her Future Vampire Lover is a sizzling futuristic vampire romance with a fantastic HEA.

Really creative world & unique dystopian vampire romance
POV: dual
HUMOR: a bit
F BOMBS: yes
CLIFFHANGER: no
NEW AUTHOR FOR ME: yes
POSSIBLE TRIGGERS: ffm, graphic sex, sexy time with a scepter and a statue, biting with dripping blood, H slaps h's face (and vice versa), some gory parts
CHARACTERS: Queen ilylle (sheltered, naïve, kind, high libido, has magic) and Zaan (ancient vampire warrior). A bit of enemies to lovers.
PROS:
1. Really creative world and unique story. Can definitely say I haven't ready anything like this before. Different kind of vampire romance story
2. Only a few F-bombs (and not so much of other ones, too)
3. Although it's slower-paced than I'm used to, it has an actual story with erotic moments
4. Surprise twists in the story - whoa!
5. Has ilylle's epilogue, Zaan's epilogue, and a final epilogue
6. HEA - no cliffhangers - yay!
7. All ends tied up - nothing left hanging
CONS:
1. Objects, traditions, animals - had fictional names but weren't explained or described what they were. Had to make inferences or just guess.
2. New author for me so took time to acclimate to author's and time period's writing/speaking style
3. POVs, not labeled, would switch within the same chapter took some getting used to
4. Zaan's feelings for ilylle could be construed as cheating (I don't want to spoil but my advice is to keep reading)
5. ARC version had some typos/missing words and inconsistencies

This was a very unique story, with a Queen who has been kept inside her palace for 300 years, and has never seen the people or country she rules. Ilylle's council makes all the decisions and she’s really just a figurehead. Now they want her to marry a man she’s never met, who has been encased in stone for millennia, and she’s apprehensive, but excited too, since she’s been so isolated her whole life. Zaan is very confused when he wakes up, but once he realizes how much time has passed, and just how odd the situation is, he begins to help Ilylle discover the power within her and learn just how much of her life has been a lie. This was a pretty steamy story, with a great conclusion, and an HEA.

Queen Ilille has been living a very sheltered life, for three hundred year she has lived in the palace, never leaving it. A statue sits in the palace this is the man she will marry and her future king. When she wakes him early her whole world changes. Everything she has been told is lie. This is a steamy read with a great plot. I look forward to reading more by this author.

This is an interesting book with strong characters in Queen Ilylle and Zaan. The author brings a unique story with tons of passion and twists and tells the story in the dual POV. She moves the story fluidly with her detailed and descriptive writing and delivers an intriguing enemies to lovers type romance. I enjoyed reading their story.

Omg. I've never read anything like this in my life, but I'm neither sorry nor happy.
The story centers on Queen Ilylle and the warrior Zaan (he's the vampire).
Ilylle names her pu$$y her dark place and I thought he was talking about the other black hole... place... *blushes*you know*blushes*. This thing amused me terribly, among many other things from the story. Also, when she has s€x, our Queen has exceptional magical abilities and if at first I thought it was funny and I thought she was crazy, she really has magical abilities because of her high libido.
If you have nothing against ma$tur8ating with a scepter and s€x with statues, it's worth reading it at least as a diverse fact, as a diverse and quick read.
What is written here is a little said "smut". But beyond all the s€x in the book, the story has an interesting plot. She turns out to be a clone, has a deep connection with this warrior, and the secrets of her life will come out.
I would have liked to know more about her world, to know what happened after her conquest, what happened to the people of her kingdom.

This is the story of a man in love with a dead queen and how he became hate fuck-buddies with her clone.
*I didn't like this book, my review below reflects that.*
This was like a knock-off of King of Battle and Blood, except terrible!
Normally I try to be at least semi-coherent and orderly in my reviews, but fuck it:
I hated that the fmc was constantly compared to her dead ancestor/originator/whatever the fuck she was. I hated that her "vampire lover" still actively loves the first queen while using her as some kind of sexual substitution.
I hated that the plot was so incredibly flimsy and nonsensical. I hated the poorly convicted lust that somehow gave way to love?
I hated that the author tried to add: vampires, magic, a royalty system, a hidden world, an overthrowing, machines, weird science, cyborgs, threesomes, fleshy human blobs (wtf?), and shitty bdsm romance. All in one unsatisfactory, mind-fuck, fever dream of a book.

The main character Queen Ilylle starts as a superficial teenager even though she's 300 years old. She's been purposely kept in the dark and betrayed by her council except for one of her councilors Yzin, has been very sneakily has been feeding her the truth within the stories he gives her to read. She slowly comes to realize that she all she knows isn't real and she has been used all these years for her magic to keep the corrupt council basically immortal. The book starts off slowly and gradually becomes a good story, I almost stopped reading at the beginning but kept at it because I love the author Cassie Alexander. The book ends really well with things tied up neatly and satisfying to the reader.

An adult fairy tale
Illness is a queen who has never seen her kingdom. Trapped inside her castle with her two servants and ocasionally visited by members of her council. Completely unaware of what is really happening outside them, she is never allowed to venture beyond the castle walls. Her magic, derived from pleasure, is used to provide for her people. Things begin to change with the arrival of Zaan, her intended king.
This definitely an adult fairy tale giving Ilylle plenty of opportunities to recharge her magic but there's much more to it than that, sort of an adult Princess Bride, if you will. This was basically a one sitting read for me. I liked it a lot.

This was such a unique story and not at all what I was expecting. We have a queen who has been sequestered in her home and has never seen her people and is basically a figurehead set to marry her king who is currently stone. Through her curiosity she awakens him (by some erotic means) and he helps her to question her entrapment and regain her powers. I liked the mystery of this story and how it slowly peeled back the layers to get to the truth of what was going on. I also enjoyed all the erotic components. My only complaint would be that I wish this had been a little longer to get a better development of the love between the two main characters.

It was surprisingly good. The sci-fi feel was almost off-putting as I don't generally read it, the unfamiliar words, and futuristic setting, BUT absolutely LOVE a good fantasy vampire story. This was a good mix and I just had to be patient in seeing the vampire portion as it revealed itself. The story telling was quite nice and the erotic scenes deliciously inspiring. The last third of the book, as the plot rose, had me on the edge of my seat with a very satisfying ending.

Super dirty - perfect recommendation to Smutty Book Club
Listened to the audio book on Scribd (narrators Alexandra Rosewood and Edward Thomas were excellent - But Alexandra did all the heavy lifting).
Queen Ilylle is a unknowing prisoner for 300 years. Trapped in her "castle". Zaan is a stone warrior come to life. He is mourning his queen while teaching Ilylle about her reality and her magic. It's good sexy fun with lots of no good politicians.

The story idea was AMAZING.
HOWEVER, there was WAY too much smut in the book for me. By time I reached the middle of the story I'd skip through any scenes so I could get back to the storyline.

This is a really interesting read that kept me wondering as each layer of the narrative was peeled back.
I do think it would be a more accurate representation with a more gothic leaning cover and maybe calling it "Her Future Vampire King" as it is set in a period / future dystopian mix focusing on a king and a queen… with magic.
The Vampire element is basically irrelevant, relegated to a couple of plot contrivances and a few instances of biting.
The characters are likable, especially the naïve queen and her servants.
There are steamy scenes throughout and are enjoyable if not thigh squeezing.
Although its listed at 180 pages, it felt longer, most likely due to the slower mystery style pace but that was also part of the charm, its in no hurry and lets the characters and plot slowly build to an enjoyable conclusion.
Minor gripes, just a few text errors such as missing or extra words but nothing that spoiled my enjoyment, and did we really need three epilogues?
Overall I do recommend this. In a way, it was not at all what I was expecting and I think that made me like it all the more.
Review copy provided by the publisher.

New author and read for me... I was not expecting the spice, which is presented through a character that knows a version of s*x, which makes for annoying albeit funny names for body parts/fluids.
Fun read as a standalone, the main female character grows stronger throughout the book so fun evolution there. The mix between futuristic/robot and vampire was completely wild so kudos for that spin.

The dude was writing poetry about his past lover and then just immediately gets over it? Not a bad book other than the two not having great chemistry. Didn't seem like the dude actually liked her, just viewed her as a replacement for his dead lover. The actual plot was pretty interesting though! Also bright spot and dark place are a set of words I never want to hear again.

Not as it seems
Ilylle is Queen but not in a normal sense. Sequestered in her castle. Zaan was a warrior that was turned to stone and to be her King. In this book there are so many secrets, lies and intrigue. Read on to find out, will they have a HEA?

Franchement c'était carrément cool je pensais pas autant apprécié. Pour le moment c'est la meilleure dark romance fantasy que j'ai pu lire.

Pretty decent sci-fi romance. Definitely more meat to the story than I expected, as this was in the "recommended" category on my Scribd audiobooks.

This was a totally different story from what I have read from this author before. The characters were strong and the storyline was amazing. The story was engaging from start to finish.

One reviewer said it was good if you're in the mood for b-rated sci-fi porn lol. I feel like that is a very accurate description of what you're going to get with this book.

The spice is great, but honestly I wanted more plot!

Sebbene interessante, segue binari abbastanza prevedibili.

This was so good. I was pleasantly surprised. The title is very misleading though. Which is a shame. The novel is futuristic erotic fantasy. Dark and a bit horror. The plot is solid and the relationship building great. I love the world building and would love to read more about it. The book could easily be longer og even several books. Well done 😍
