Really disappointed as I pre-ordered this!

I really really wanted to like this book. But I didn’t at all! I didn’t like Addison and the plot didn’t make sense!!

Addison has been online playing a game, against Ace for a while. They have progressed to chatting on the phone, but have never met. Addison and her flat mate Matt, share a games console, and when she logs in one day, she sees a list of women that Matt made. For some reason it really scares her, as Matt has been bringing a string of women to the flat. She meets up with Ace for the first time and confides in him, that she thinks it could be sex trafficking or prostitution. What??? Because Matt is talking to a lot of women, and has their names on his games console?? Then she’s so terrified that she goes home the next day, after spending the night in a hotel. It just got really silly after that! Matt phoned her and said his boss wasn’t happy because she saw the list. So Ace puts her up in a hotel. It’s just crazy! Yes they did end up doing something really bad, and she was right.

It was just so bizarre! She’s so scared of what he is doing, that she chats to her flatmate on the phone and goes home?????
If I suspected my flatmate of doing something so bad, I wouldn’t go home! And I wouldn’t confront him about the list either!!! As she did!!!!

Their relationship goes from 0 to 100 overnight! After one date, he’s called away and something happens to her. So when he gets back, she moves in his house???? Wow!! One minute, he suspects she’s a virgin as she’s that shy, then she jumps on him the next!!! Okay!

I’m so confused with these books. Are they the same writer? The last one I read was really good, now this! 😡

Navy SEAL “Ace” meets app developer Addison online while gaming. They become close spending hours together but never meeting. She tells Ace she is concerned about her roommate, a guy who recently lost his job and seems to be hanging around some questionable men. When she feels threatened they agree to meet and have an instant connection! Their relationship is hot! When Addison is kidnapped the SEAL team hope to get to her in time. SEAL’s Code, a standalone novel, is book one in the new Coronado Team 2 series. I received an arc for an honest review. You will like this new series while also reading about the previous couples.

Having read all of the Alpha SEALs Coronado series I eagerly looked forward to Coronado Team 2 eagerly. I was not disappointed. Forging a friendship while gaming together online leads to so much more for Ace and Addison. Meeting face to face solidifies their growing feelings for one another. When she's suddenly in peril, Ace and his team as well as team one work tirelessly to keep her safe and bring her home.

Makenna Jameison’s beginning edition to the Coronado Team 2 series entitled SEAL’s Code Book 1 is a must read for those who like military heroes. Addison Moore meets Everett “Ace” Walker online where they both indulge in gaming in this spin-off of the Alpha SEALs Coronado series. He is a SEAL in the military, and she is an app developer and California transplant. The two become fast friends through their gaming fun and then become attracted to each other when Addison gets scared of her roommate who seems to be involved in suspicious and maybe nefarious activities. She thinks he is into something shady involving lots of girls and maybe sex trafficking. Though Ace and his team are military and used to dealing with bad guys in a permanent manner, I like that they always bring in the police to manage things, though they have pretty much “handled” the situation before law enforcement actually shows. Honorable with the goal of serving and protecting, readers cannot help but be interested in this second team of alpha males, and just as Addison falls in love with her personal protector, so too will book lovers fall in love with Team 2 of Coronado.

When Ace meets Addison online playing a game, he can’t get enough of her husky voice and spends his spare time gaming with her and getting to know her. Addison is a programmer and loves to game online and when she starts gaming with Ace, she can’t resist his smexy voice and wonders if he looks as good as he sounds. When she finds trouble through her roommate and needs to get away, she turns to Ace who invites her to meet in person and offer his help. Now after months they will finally meet in person…will the fantasy and connection live up to in person and will Ace and his team be able to keep her safe when the danger comes right to her.
A great read with some steam, suspense and great characters. I loved the build up between these two and when it happens…oh my. I also liked that Ace wasn’t portrayed as a man wh***, was alpha protective over Addison and was in tune with what she needed. The story flowed nicely and I really enjoyed these two, a perfect match.
*I voluntarily read an advanced copy and expressed my honest opinion*

This is another must read book by a fantastic author, and starts off the series about SEAL team 2, who were involved in the earlier series too. Addison, an app developer, and Ace, the team leader of SEAL 2, meet on line whilst gaming in the evenings. They become friends very quickly, finding themselves looking forward to hearing the other’s voice. The more they talk, the more they look forward to chatting as many evenings as possible, and they find their feelings towards each other are developing rapidly. During this time Addison is becoming anxious and very uneasy about her flatmate Matt’s behaviour, and Ace persuades her to tell him of her concerns. Ace and Addison’s actual meeting just reinforces the mutual attraction, and Ace, his team and some of the others SEALs become involved in ensuring Addisons safety. This is a book it is easy to lose yourself in, with twists along the way and some hot and steamy scenes. I can’t wait for the next in the series.

3.75 stars. I enjoyed how Ace and Addison both met innocently enough whilst gaming online. There was no flirting just fun banter within the game. I could understand how Addison was cautious and taking things slow, also Ace was very patient and protective of her.

What I found pulled the story down, was how repetitive all the internal thoughts were. Yes, it’s good to know she wouldn’t just let a random creepy stranger into her apartment and she’s worried that said creep finds out what she looks like, where she lives and what car she’s driving. There’s no need to keep reiterating that over and over throughout the book. The author also seemed to like to keep describing how Ace cupped the back of Addison’s head every time they kissed.

I would’ve also liked to see more details about what happened with the tracking device, what happened with Zack at the hotel and I guess just overall fleshing out these details in the story. It felt glossed over and rushed to wrap it up.

Love Games

Makenna Jameison’s first book in her ‘Coronado Team 2’ series has certainly brought Christmas cheer to the readers and ratings. Ace and Addison, the main characters, are gamers online together for the past several months but have never met in person. Addison’s roommate, Matt, has been talking to a lot of different young women online and bringing them home. She has seen a list of these women and feels there’s something going on that’s illegal. Matt’s boss, Zach, has threatened Allison saying she better keep her mouth shut. Ace can tell that something is wrong and convinces Allison to finally meet so they can discuss what’s going on with Matt and Zach. This book was so excitingly adventurous, suspenseful, romantically riveting that I couldn’t put it down until the very last page. Highly recommended and definitely a MUST read!

For months GamerGirl97 and Ace have been playing games on line. In the process, they have gotten to know each other. At the end of the day, this is the way they unwind. All the stress seems to leave them. Addison is a coder and Ace is a Navy SEAL. Something is going on with Addison and Ace has no idea. When they meet, everything clicks for Ace. Addison is running scared and until she tells him, he can't help. Addison realizes she needs help while Ace is gone and the other teams have stepped up to help. The truly evil person Zack plans to catch her and never let her go. He has underestimated his opponent.

I love this series. All these books are kind of slow burn, but at the same time, then wham, it's electric, in love and threat intensity. Ace and Addison have been chatting online for months and something starts to feel off. Ace reaches out and Addison takes a chance. Ace figures out his feelings sooner than Add, but he has a plan, and I love how he shows just a bit of dominance/assertiveness in just a few touches. I wanted more! Can't wait to read the next one.

Started just okay then nope- I'm done.

I guess I read so many great romantic military suspenses and insta-lust books that this was very juvenile. Ace is the perfect gentleman, not rushing her- as in days and weeks- and treating Addison with kid gloves. Okay. And she was good about asking for help until three quarters in, then WHAM! She gets carried away, becomes the TSTL idiot, confronts the skeevy bad guy, and you can take it from there. I just couldn't finish this book. Sorry.

Slow build up, with the couple texting and talking before an actual meet up, but an excellent read. Ace and Addison met online gaming. It took awhile before they had their first date. She's having problems with her roommate Matt. She just knows he's into something illegal. But when his so called friend/buisness partner start messing with her, Ace gets really worried. Acton towards the end with a HEA.

A 3 star beginning but then the story just fell off. I always like time to get to know the characters, and I liked these two people. Because the writing is mostly narration, and very repetitive, I never really felt their connection. After their first meeting, he is telling us (a lot) how he wants to take her to bed, etc. The plot is predictable. The sex is boring. I skimmed a lot of the story because too much narration. But then she does something dumb (why?).

When Ace and Addison meet while online gaming, they hit it off right away. Then Addison gets pulled into trouble when her roommate gets involved with some illegal, shaky and shady business. This book was fast paced and a page turner. I highly recommend the entire series but this is a great stand alone. Makenna does not disappoint. Enjoy!

Excellent

Addison and Ace had been gaming against each other for several months. Addison lived with Matt, they were college friends. Matt starred acting funny. Addison thought he might be in to selling girls. Add told Ace about it. Matt index up getting killed and Addison got kidnapped. Its a stand alone book, but better to read this one first in series.

Flat and unbelievable

I struggled with this book. Skimmed over most of the book actually. H is sweet but meh, h is an idiot.
Most of the book is them either talking about the fact that someone should be getting to the bottom of the threat, or them just repeating themselves.

It's a no from me.

Deal's Code

Makenna Jamelson was a new author for me and not once did I regret buying the book. A fast paced story of the military, some bad guys and the innocent women involved . It goes in the category of hard to put down. Only complaint - the main female character wasn't very bright.

Five stars aren’t enough for this book. Once again, Makenna Jameson has crafted a beautiful love story with a swoon worthy hero rescuing his girl. So romantic! I can’t wait for her next book in this series!

Good Story

I've read a few of Manna Jameison books. I enjoy the fast pace (like a wham bam), but would've like a little bit more of the build up to the story. BUT it was a good read.
