Babe Ruth is the latest installment in the Inspired Inner Genius series of biographies for children.
I can't get enough of this series and enjoyed this installment so much.
I had heard of Babe Ruth and knew he was a baseball player but that's all I knew. Baseball isn't a big sport here in the UK as it is in the USA.
I really enjoyed hearing about this extraordinary man who is such an inspiration for children and adults in equal measures.
I loved the new feature in the back of the book too where you can scan a code and retrieve a help sheet to help you have discussions with your child relating to the book.

I’d always known a little about Babe Ruth, but it’s always fun to get more information about these heroes! Babe Ruth was sent to St. Mary’s Industrial School around the age of 7, and this one decision changed the course of his entire life! After learning how to play baseball from Brother Mathias, he was signed to the Orioles and traded twice more, once to the Red Sox, and finally the Yankees! And while Babe Ruth was an exceptional ball player, he never lost sight of where he came from and made sure to encourage every child he came across. This is what I most admire about him. Some people lose themselves in the fame they’ve found, but he never did. It would have been fun to be able to see him play!

I would highly recommend reading this book about Babe Ruth. I am a big baseball Fan and of course I have heard of Babe Ruth but after reading this I have learned so much more about him. His story is another great American dream and his name will forever be tied to American Baseball. This story is very inspirational and I think will inspire kids that they can go after their dreams. I highly recommend this

The Newest addition to @inspiredinnergenius Muse Museum - Babe Ruth ⚾ 🎉
Baseball isn't such a huge thing in the UK and I'm not really into sports, so Babe Ruth wasn't someone I was familiar with before.
Once again, the story and illustrations in this book perfectly introduced me to a person that changed the world in some way.
Babe Ruth was a huge celebrity sportsman of his time and is still known for the hope and happiness he reintroduced to the American sporting world after the first world War.
After starting his life off on the wrong foot, he took another route following passion and with some work and determination made sure that he treated every child and fan with love and attention.
What a wonderful addition to the museum, and as always we are looking forward to the next!

Babe Ruth by Inspired Inner Genius is a fantastic way for young readers to dip into a world of non-fiction and biographies.
Inspired Inner Genius finds a way to mix fun with learning in this educational series. This time, we get an athletic legend - Babe Ruth. As per usual, the illustrations are engaging and colourful, all the while helping tell the story. The additional resources at the back also make for a fun read - educational tools, a glossary, a wall of other famous individual who had their own books.
This is a great tool to get kids engaged in reading non-fiction! Definitely the kind of book I think would be valuable to learn from.
Four out of five stars.

Inspired Inner Genius has given us another amazing nonfiction book, Babe Ruth.
The illustrations are stunning; descriptive & colorful. The story is informative & interesting.
Even though I am not a sporty kind of gal, I still enjoyed learning about Babe Ruth’s life. There was much I didn’t know about him. He is quite inspirational.
As a retired elementary teacher, I know that kids enjoy reading about their sports heroes. This will be a fabulous addition to classroom & school libraries.
Each story includes a glossary, a summary of the person’s life, and a photo gallery of all the people they’ve written about so far. The new inclusion of extra educational resources is a definite plus.
Grab this up for your children, your classroom, or your school library.

Me again! 🙋♀️
Until I read this book, I'll be honest, I didnt really know who Babe Ruth was. I have heard the name but that is all!
What an absolutely amazing gentleman, I think too often now people who become famous forget where they come from, but not Babe, he knew and he did not shut that out.
All the work he done not only in his professional baseball career but for other people and the school where he was bought up is so heart warming.
The fact that he not only got baseball back as a favourite past time but he helped his nation out of the grieving process is incredible.
I am learning so much. I feel like I am saying this on every review for these amazing, inspiring, educational books but it is so true.
I am so grateful to Inspired Inner Genius for giving me the opportunity to read and review their books, I love the who series!

George Herman Ruth wurde 1895 geboren und war Kind der Arbeiterklasse und viel auf sich alleine gestellt. Er machte viel Ärger und wurde daher bereits mit 7 Jahren in die Erziehungsanstalt St. Mary´s geschickt. Die strengen Regeln dort verlangten viel von Ruth ab, doch er hatte Glück im Unglück. Denn in Bruder Matthias, seinen Mentor, fand er einen sehr guten Lehrer, der mit ihm stundenlang Baseball übte. Damit war der Grundstein gelegt. Babe Ruth legt eine beispiellose Karriere hin, vergaß dabei aber nie, wo er herkam, liebte seine Fans, hatte ein großes Herz für Kinder, besuchte Waisenhäuser und Krankenhäuser und spendete viel Zeit und Geld, um St. Mary´s zu verbessern.
Der Name Babe Ruth war mir schon ein Begriff, doch viel mehr wusste ich über diesen Menschen nicht. Daher habe ich durch diese Biografie, die wunderbar kindgerecht gestaltet ist, sehr viel erfahren. Mir imponiert sein Lebensweg, vom Arbeiterkind aus ärmlichen Verhältnissen zum US-Superstar und das er trotzdem auf dem Boden geblieben ist und nie vergessen hat, was seine Wurzeln sind. Wunderbar, dass er so viel zurückgegeben hat an diejenigen, denen es gerade so geht, wie ihm damals. Ein Superstar mit großem Herzen! Und für jeden ein Ansporn, an sich und seine Träume zu glauben und daran, dass man es schaffen kann – egal wie die Startvoraussetzungen sind.
Toll geschrieben, viel Information für so wenig Text. Die ganzseitigen Zeichnungen finde ich ganz okay, wobei es in dieser Reihe schon bessere gab. Doch letztlich geht es um das Gesamtwerk – und das ist sehr gut gelungen. Daher von mir: 4/5.

I have read all the books so far through this inspired inner genius series and have shared them with my grandson and his parents.
My grandson’s favorite part of the book was when Babe Ruth as a young boy got into a lot of trouble! My daughter was impressed that Babe Ruth later on as a famous baseball player gave back to his community and the place where he went to school and learned the sport of baseball.
I was impressed that Babe Ruth had such humble and difficult beginnings to his life and yet was able to use his skill and talent as a good baseball player to do good for the communities that he was involved in. It sounds like he was a kind hearted man and cared for children a lot.
I do not know much about baseball but I have heard of Babe Ruth and it was nice to learn about his life story.

We have the Baseball Hall of Fame and Dreams Park where people come from all over the country to play ball. This place gets crazy during baseball season and induction weekend.

I enjoyed the children's book: Babe Ruth. It tells the reader about Babe Ruth's life using words and colorful illustrations. I liked that while it used some "big" words, it included a glossary at the end! The book also includes an overview of Babe Ruth's life from 1895-1948 and an actual photo of him in a baseball uniform. This book is a fun way to introduce this hall of fall baseball player to young readers!

This is my son's favorite IIG book. He just got done with fall baseball so he was ecstatic when I showed him this latest book. I didn’t know much about Babe Ruth except what I saw in The Sandlot. But this book was great to learn more about his childhood and how he became who he was. The most interesting thing I read was how he got his name “Babe”. I won’t spoil it. So, either you can Google it or check out this amazing book with your child.

I will admit to knowing nothing about Babe Ruth really before I read this book. It was lovely to see how good role models made such a difference to his life and also finding out why he was called Babe Ruth! He really is a legend in the game and made me even more excited to actually go to a real baseball game! A true American dream 🇺🇸

I wouldn't say that Babe Ruth is very well known in the UK, although I have heard his name before, so it was interesting to learn more about him. This is a great series of books and I love the range of historical figures that they focus on. I definitely learn something new with this one, although it was harder to get my little ones excited about someone they hadn't heard of before.

As a life long fan of baseball, this book was a wonderful treat. I already knew quite a bit about Babe but I loved how this story filled in some gaps for me and sent me down a rabbit hole in search of more of career info & stats! My 3 grown sons read this as well and loved learning more about the legendary Babe Ruth

This is the latest release from Inspired Inner Genius and is a biography of sports hero Babe Ruth.
I knew who he was, but as I'm from the UK I don't always know alot about the American idols and heroes. One of the things I always enjoy about reading these books is that I learn something.
Great illustrations accompany the story of Babes life and achievements. I think children, especially the sport loving ones, will really love this book.
