Jake wakes up and realizes he is tied up and Amber is tied and unconscious Germaine is waving a knife around and he has to find a way to save himself and the woman he loves. By the time he gets untied and gets control of Germaine he wakes Amber and gets her untied, they call the cops by the time they arrive she has no memory of how she got there or where she is. They return home and they spend some time in the park when they hear a child crying the child is a boy named Adam who has gotten lost from his guardian and Jake goes to find her while he's gone Adam is happy to be with Jake wakes up and realizes he is tied up and Amber is tied and unconscious Germaine is waving a knife around and he has to find a way to save himself and the woman he loves. Amber is not so much into the Gallery and since Jake is expanding there is not much for her to do and when she gets inside the orphanage she realizes that she belongs there helping these children with Susan Warren's approval she offers her assistance Susan is very happy for the help and Adam is thrilled to have Amber around. Amber informs Jake and he offers the same and they become the patrons for the children. Amber is very happy when a man Hank working at the orphanage she use to know and talk to at the condo where she had lived with Corrine when she was 12 years old. Jake has a funny feeling about the man and he has him investigated but when he finds out she doesn't want to hear anything bad about Hank. Then one night the orphanage catches a fire Amber calls 911 and Jake she is so worried about Hank that Jake goes back into the fire to look for him before he returns the back of the building falls in from the fire and The Fire Chief will not send anyone inside because it is not safe. Avery North has written a short 5-star book. You will need to read Book 1 of this story to know how Amber and Jake met and the full backstory of Amber and Jake. This is the continued story of Amber and Jake. Jake's ex-girlfriend Germaine has this idea of them being meant to be together and nothing is going to stop her. She is mad that Jake has gotten together with Amber and cast her aside. She has gotten the address of Amber's cabin and gotten both Amber and Jake tied up. She plans to kill Amber while Jake watches her. Jake stops her and when Amber wants to press charges for breaking into her cabin and trying to kill her, Jake doesn't want her to. Jake now has to tell Amber part of the story of his relationship with Germaine that he left out when he told Amber about her. Jake tells Amber that she needs help. Amber can't believe that Jake is taking Germaine's side after what she just tried to do to them. There are others that don't want to see Amber and Jake together. There is Amber's aunt Corrine, who wants Amber dead so that she can get what now belongs to Amber. Corrine was hired by Amber's parents to watch over Amber when she was younger and Amber has found out that Corrine is not related to her at all. Jake's mother doesn't like Amber and thinks that Jake needs to be with someone better. Amber has found something to do with the money she has gotten from her parent's estate and that is to help Cornerstone Foster Home after she meets a little boy named Adam in the park. While she is working at Cornerstone, she runs into Hank, someone she knew from when she was a child. When Jake meets Hank, he doesn't like him. When Amber spends a lot of time working at the foster home and is always talking about Hank, Jake gets upset and this causes a problem between him and Amber.
Can Amber and Jake withstand the trouble coming their way, or will it cause them to split up?
This was a wonderful book and will leave you with a cliffhanger. I would recommend this book to anyone.

*spoiler* Jake’s ex Germaine has had a breakdown and she wants Jake. She will do any and everything she can can to get him. She knocks him unconscious and ties him to a chair. Amber comes back from the store and sees a car she doesn’t know. When she enters Jake is tied to a chair. Amber is hit from behind. Jake wakes to see Amber bleeding and unconscious. Jake tries to talk Germaine down. Amber comes to and wants to press charges when Jake talks her out of it. Germaine needs help. Amber and Jake get over this hump. He wants Amber in his life. His mother is not the easiest person to be around. Funny when he describes her Amber tells him she sounds like a woman in her bldg. Mrs. Pristin. They are the same. She doesn’t want Amber with her son and will do anything to keep them apart. She offers Amber money to leave him. Amber gave money and help the foster home. She has went above and beyond for the kids. She purchased new beds, computers, cribs for the babies. She stayed the night so Susan can get the rest she needs when a loud noise wakes Amber. The place is on fire. She calls Jake, emergency services and wakes everyone in the house. Jake helps get the babies. The only person not accounted for if the janitor. Jake goes in after him.

Unbound - Part 2 - Well this is getting interesting and deadly

Unbound is the second book in the Fight for love series and continues the story of Amber Paige and Jake McCarthy. Be warned that this book does end on a cliffhanger. This book starts where the previous book ended and finds Amber and Jake at Amber's cabin. But all is not right as it appears Germaine, one of Jake's ex's, wants to have Jake back and is willing to do just about anything to make that happen. They do get out of the situation but does that mean that they will be safe from Germaine in the future? Amber and Jake are both working hard, he with renovations and expansion to his art gallery and she in helping The Cornerstone, a foster home owned by Susan Warren. Because of how Amber grew up she feels an affinity to the home and wants to help Susan with her very good work. But you know Amber and Jake will still not have an uneventful life and that become even bumpier when they get engaged and his "witch" of a mother does not take kindly to the match. Will Amber get burned before she makes it to the aisle?

This second part to the story is fast-paced and full of drama, romance, family, new friends, old issue and one pulse pounding ending. I am looking forward to seeing just what happens in the next book in the series.

The addition starts with the book cover….yeah…yeah…yeah don’t judge a book by its cover they say ….well we all do it and this one here it is the scratch to your itch or better yet the filling to your oreos! Within the first chapters you get the panoramic view of whom you’re dealing with! This is book is part of the Fight For Love series why just read one when you can start at the beginning and keep reading through the series it won’t be a waste of time. Picking where they left off but before starting again let me reiterate “ I HATE CLIFFHANGERS!” 😊 but love them at the same time. Jakes past came back to haunt him and they have accepted and dealt with it but with Jake expanding the gallery Amber is feeling a little lost (needs something to do). After moving in together they come across a foster home where her help is welcomed so it then becomes her project. But let’s not forget that his mother and his ex. do not want them to see them together let alone be happy and between the two of them, their secrets will have Amber all tied up, her world crumbling down around here. Will Jake be there to help put her back together, will he finally do something about his mother & ex., will she forgive him and is there happiness written for them?

Enjoying this series, definitely darker

This book picks up right from the cliffhanger in part 1 - starts with a bang, and certainly ends with a bang (another cliffhanger) ... and a whole lot of drama and angst in the 85 pages in between!

Amber and Jake are trying to sort through a lot of things during this part of the series, and one of those things is dealing with his mother. They're trying to get on with their lives and their future, and even though the relationship he has always had with his mother has been strained, she has always been a part of his life. They're trying to figure out if she should be part of their future. However, things are definitely becoming strained. Will there even be a future? I guess we have to find out in part/book 3 what the answer to this will be, as the cliffhanger leaves us with a lot more questions than answers!

This is the 2nd book in this series and this story continues straight on from the cliffhanger at the end of #1. Amber and Jake have confronted and dealt with his past, and they just want to move in together and get on with their lives. When they come across a dilapidated foster home, Amber wants to help them, and she has finally found a purpose with her life. With Jake busy with his work commitments, and Amber busy with the home, their relationship is on rocky ground, and add in Jakes’ interfering mother who is determined to split them up, and this become extremely complicated. Will Jake and Amber be able to salvage their relationship before it is too late? This is a well written story with is sweet, emotionally charged, and with suspense, twists, and love, which leads to an entertaining and addictive page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I recommend.

4.5/5 Stars - Things have literally heated up for Jake and Amber!! Their little perfect bubbly has developed some holes that could leave them deflated. His scheming mama wnats to derail any dreams they have of a HEA but she's not the only one. Amber found her purpose in the foster home while Jake continues at his gallery. Seems like his mama has some secrets of her own and I'm suspecting Amber's world is going to come tumbling down with Hank back on the scene. Book 3 hopefully answers some of the questions I have about this circle of drama where all things lead back to Corrine. Would have been a perfect but for the potty language sprinkled here and there.

Not sure if I have read the first book in this series, but I have read two and three in the series.
This is a great story to read. We have a little bit of everything in this series.
The story does flow from one book to the other I have found.
The characters have worked so well together and I have had a wonderful
connection with them all as well.
I haven`t found any spelling mistakes in these books as yet.
Or any holes in the plot of the story either.
I can recommend this series to others as well but you have to be over the age of 18+

Just a bit of drama.

So after recovering from being held hostage by Jake's physco ex things start looking up for the happy couple. However his witch of a mother isn't happy about him marrying Amber giving her money to leave him but she tells her to shove it & Carrie's on focusing on the Foster home to distract her from the huge argument her & Jake had but then a huge fire breaks out destroying the home only Jake is inside & we are left on a cliffhanger again.
I can't wait for the next book desperately hoping Jake is OK.

Amber and Jake have to deal with his ex Germaine and the cabin situation. Then while he is at the gallery, she befriends those at Cornerstone Foster Home. The custodian there, Hank, she remembers from when she was there. A deadly situation starts at the Home and Jake rushes to help, getting trapped.
The characters and action are all well written. The storyline packs a punch with quick and evil situations. Surprises and twists keep the pages turning, like her old guardian wanting her dead. Loved the friendship with the little boy, Adam. It just does not stop for these two.

Jake and Amber's story...I am still a little ambiguous right now about how I feel towards it, I still haven't found the prequel but I'm starting to form a definitive opinion. Has always with Avery North the story is very well written and the characters plus the world building are just awesome...so for now I am enjoying it a bit more let's just see if I start to love it. The storyline is fast-paced and full of drama, romance, family, new friends, old issue and one pulse pounding cliffhanger ending preparing for the 3rd installment. 4,5 ⭐

2nd in this compelling series...
The story of Jake & Amber continues with an ex of his with serious mental issues becoming more unhinged & holding them captive threatening to kill Amber first & then Jake, dependent on how he reacts to watching Amber being murdered. They survive the ordeal but how will it impact when he refuses to press charges. Amber finds her calling with aiding Cornerstone, a foster home but something dark & sinister is brewing for these seemingly star-crossed lovers. Hold on tight for this tense journey. This is the second book in the Flight for Love series and the drama keeps building. This is the continuation of Jake and Amber’s relationship. After surviving the attack by Jake’s ex they find themselves caught between Jake’s mother, business renovations, and jealousy. Will Jake and Amber be able to overcome all the obstacles happening in their lives? This book ends in a cliffhanger. Great book and I can’t wait for Book 3.

This is the next installment in Avery North's exciting Fight for Love series. This book is filled with action and mystery, and also romance as Jake and Amber begin to move on and plan their lives together. People from both of their pasts keep popping up, and not all of them have good intentions. I love how the author has interwoven Jake and Amber's pasts. It's amazing that their paths never crossed until recently. The book ends on a cliffhanger, with me praying for Jake's safety. Jake and Amber . . .

Jake and Amber see a dilapidated foster home in their wanderings, and Amber wants to take it on as a project since Jake is spending such long hours at the art gallery. Now the renovation of the foster home is occupying all of Amber’s time, and their relationship is suffering.

Jake and Amber have plans to move in together. His mother is not happy when she finds he and Amber already have a relationship and she intends to break them up. So there will be lots of suspense, drama, and excitement.

Amber met a little boy crying in the park and that’s how she gets to know Susan and her refuge for abandoned children. When everything looks like going smooth for all of them, something happened that put them in danger again.

The second installment in this series of 6 books, and another cliffhanger. While I am interested to continue following the story, some of the interactions between characters, and the decisions made, are a little ridiculous. I am also starting to find Amber, the main female character, rather annoying. However, it is very like a soap opera, so if that is your kind of thing, you may love it.

Wow! The intensity builds in this story. I can't say anymore other then let me at the third book please. Jake is doing a remodel on the art gallery and Amber has found a project in an orphanage that needs lots of help. This portion of Fight for Love installment book 2, Unbound, is not to be missed. I for one can't wait for the third installment.

Amber gets involved with the foster home and Jake helps but they have a falling out over the home's handyman, Hank.
There was drama, and lots of intrigue in this along with suspense. Who was Hank? And what danger would he bring? So many questions. This was a great second book and looking forward to more.

Book two in this trilogy starts with both Amber and Jake tied up and gagged by his ex Germaine. She's jealous that Jake and Amber are together and has completely lost it! She's threatening to kill Amber, Jake knows he has to release his ties to overpower Germaine and save them both.
You'd think after that drama their lives would run normally but they're heading towards yet another dramatic cliff hanger.

This story, Unbound: Fight For Love Series Book 2 by Avery North is definitely heating up drama wise with Amber and Jake. I am loving this series. It is keeping me on my toes reading it. Love all the twists and turns and steamy scenes!! I would highly recommend reading this story and this series. It is such a great read!!!

This is such an exciting installment, from the first page to the last. I totally loved and agree with how Amber is using her inheritance, she is so selfless, even after how she was raised. There are so many characters who want them to fail, I sure hope the don’t. I have some ideas of what may happen, I can’t wait to see if I’m right.

Wackos

Avery North’s second book in her ‘Fight for Love’ series is doing just that. It seems like every time Jake and Amber have things going their way, something or someone tries to interfere. Jake’s ex tries to kill Amber. Then his mother tries to bribe her to call off their wedding. Then an old friend shows up causing trouble for the lovebirds. Will they ever catch a break? You need to read the book to find out what happens. Highly recommended and definitely a MUST read!

More twists, turns and surprises continue as we see someone from Jake's past pop up and wreck havoc on Amber and Jake's blossoming relationship. There are some tender heart warming moments that give us a glimpse (possibly) about an addition to story but I will have to wait for more of the story to unfold to know if I'm right.
