Rate this book
Google Cloud Platform.

Well ... it's a topic of interest. Sadly, while this book contains some decent info, I really don't think I can recommend it because I think it simply isn't as good, as comprehensive, well rounded, objective as other similar books out there that just seem better to me. If this is an area you want to explore and you intend to invest in a number of sources, I'd think about this one, but I'd not let this be my primary or final book. I expected more from a book on this topic with its premise. (FYI: I have experience with cloud technology, cloud computing, cloud architecture, etc., dating back to the mid-90s, before that term was ever literally invented and years before the masses knew about it. I was involved in early testing, so have followed its evolution with interest. Thus, I feel authorized to comment upon this book's weaknesses while stating I think there are better options. This isn't simply a subjective opinion...) Not recommended.

Abstract

This book is very high level and rarely go into the detail. If you are looking for the general guide for the cloud migration this might be best, but if you're more towards to the development principles and patterns, this is not for you. But if you want to have some yellow page for your cloud journey, you can try.

At least you will learn what tools are out there for you to leverage.

A good high level introduction to cloud computing for anyone beginning their cloud journey. It introduces concepts, strategies, and services along with a brief history on the key players in this space. This is NOT a book diving deep into architecture patterns and such. The title is a bit misleading in my opinion.

Good overview.
A little bit biased towards AWS. All authors work for AWS.

It's really an introduction to cloud computing rather than a guide to start architecting. Good read for beginners in my view
