Cats in space? Dogs from the Dog Star? It could happen. Welcome to Catdromida the home of "The Three Tuxedos". It's both a galaxy of twelve planets and a world consisting of three of those planets in an equal plain orbit less than a day's travel between each of the three. The question one must ask is what could go wrong on a world run by cats. After all, cats claim they could run our world better than we do. Shakespeare once said, "To be or not to be...". Now we look up from our little planet and say "To Space or Not To Space, that is the question. What's out there and what will happen when we find it. Strap in as we head out to Catdromida and see what's happening in the counsel chambers as "The Three Tuxedos" meet with a team from the Cat Treats factory. Mark "Crazy Cat Daddy" Nelson and Tiger Tye
Mark Nelson was born in the town of Castro Valley, California in 1958, raised in a military family, and traveled mostly throughout the United States with the family. He never thought of himself as a writer back then. During Junior High, High School, and College he enjoyed writing poetry, but still never thought about writing a book. In 2016, Mark and his daughter Dorothy were tossing some ideas back and forth and a couple ideas that were tossed at her hit a cord and started to grow. With that, "The Cats Made Me Do It," "Holmes Investigative Services," and "Ms. Huxley and her Kitty" came into existence. Along with that, Mark has written several short adventures published on the Cats Made Me Do It Website and later will be compiled into books of their own. Mark has said more than once that having a cat whisperer for a daughter makes for some interesting naming of cats and storytelling. Dorothy sits down with them and helps the cats who come through the sanctuary to select names like Sherlock and Mycroft Holmes who inspired "Holmes Investigative Services'' or "H.I.S," and King Authur who inspired King Author Reigns?" on the website along with Lasalle, Tony Dinozo, and PPP who inspired "NCIS" or "Nocturnal Cat Investigative Services'' in several of the short web stories. All the cats and kittens used in Mark’s stories are or have been residents at Crazy Cat Sanctuary and Black Cat Rescue, the humans though are fictitious, except his wife Jo Ann, his daughter Dorothy, and himself. They are usually referred to as Mom, Dad, and Sis or Sister by the cats and kittens. Because of these four-legged kids, Mark’s writing career started in earnest in 2016 with the first draft of "The Cats Made Me Do It" and a couple of web shorts that they do not share anymore due to some very sad memories of "the kids'' involved. Someday those stories may be rewritten to share again. One thing for sure, once a CAT DAD, always a CAT DAD. These four-legged creatures become your other kids for sure. They have and will continue to inspire many stories short and long. They will always give the family many hours of love and fun. If Mark had to pick one author who truly inspires him to write, he answered it would have to be Lilian Jackson Braun with her "Cat Who..." Series of books. As she brings the two stars Kau Ko Kum and Yum Yum to life along with their human Quilleren or Mr. Q, you can see them in your mind walking off the pages. Mark says he just hopes you have as much enjoyment reading his stories as he has reading hers, and writing the adventures from the sanctuary for you. A little bonus for the cats. One hundred percent (100%) of all profit from the sale of Mark’s books goes to support Crazy Cat Sanctuary and Black Cat Rescue, and the precious cats and kittens he gets to write about. So be sure to let your friends and family know about them. If you would like to help support the sanctuary or sponsor one or more of the permanent residents such as Jules Verne, Donna Noble, Tiger Man and his sister Tiger Tye, or any of the others who call the sanctuary their FUR-EVER home click here for the Details (Coming Soon To The Website).
