Ajax:
He is almost brought to his knees that day in the bakery. He comes to guard his club brother’s woman and finds the one he wants to be his. However, Jessica is oblivious to his interest. Everything he tries goes unnoticed. Why can’t he get her to see him? He wants more than a night or two. He wants forever.

Jessica:
For Jessica, almost a lifetime of being told she isn’t enough and having it proven over and over again, make her not believe in men. There’s no way men would look at her and desire her. Ajax is the man who makes her heart race, but it’s no use trying to get his attention. She won’t waste her time. He’ll stay a figure in her fantasies.

Misunderstandings abound, lives are changed. Those gone return and danger is once again coming after their own.

Will Ajax and Jessica realize in time that they’re stronger together than apart. Will Jessica realize Ajax only wants her? Will Ajax realize he can’t hold back in showing Jessica why she can believe him. All the club knows is that Ajax’s Nymph is bringing excitement and brightening everyone’s days, not just his.

An avid reader with a passion for romances that finally got the chance to write one of her own. The rest is history. Not what anyone thought for someone who has been a nurse and in healthcare management for years.

I sit writing as my two fur babies, my pugs Kujo and Khaos, impatiently wait for me to get done so they can lay on me as their human sofa!

My children are finally considered to be adults, so it's me, the hubby and the dogs.

I'm a iced tea drinking fiend who has insomnia, more ideas than I know what to do with, and a need to write them down.

Not too bad for a girl from rural Ohio in the foothills of Appalachia that grew up in a town of about 4000 people.

The back and forth on this one with Jessica running drove me nuts. Later we were able to see why she was so insecure, made total sense, but I didn't get why her first reaction was to run. Walk away, yes, but to run and leave town, not so much. Finally at the end things were better, Jessica settled. I was glad to see that she got her HEA, but I was also glad to be done with the book. I found I was more interested in what was going on with Zara and Demon, glad that one is up next.

Exhausting

The lead female was soo irritating, she needed counseling. The lead male should have left her, she kept being stupid and running instead of getting help. Hated this book

Hated It

Lord knows I tried with this book but by 54% I was so annoyed by Jessica I just started Hate Reading it to power through to the end. Somewhere around 60/70% I had such a strong unbridled hatred I truly wanted Ajax to find someone else....anyone else. Perhaps Zara to love him because Jessica was a straight basket case.

Cons:
😒 Jessica was an unmoving unchanging rock. She was precisely the same with the same motivations throughout the majority of the book. She was a flat character. Jessica needed mental help for her trauma.

The beauty of these stories is wat Jing the evolution. We are going through the journey with the characters together. We see their follibles but also their growth and it makes the story better.

Jessica is a horrible character because we see Ajax pouring out himself, fixing, changing and growing but Jessica is allowed to remain a brat. She never...not once apologized and then fixed the harm she did with her behavior. She just keep acting like a nut

🙄 At the climax, Ajax did something do out of character it made the rest of the book a chore. Ajax knew his chick had deep insecurities. When the stepsister pops up he should have handled it better but the thing is....the scene is set up completely out of his character motivations and actions. It was done deliberately to propel the 2nd and 3rd act and for that I hated it even more. Ajax would never have entertained that situation

SPOILER 😡😤........secret hidden pregnancy because the protagonist is so mad/upset or misunderstanding with her dude makes me 🤢. I loathe this trope and actively ignore any book with this plot point. If I had known this pops up I would never have wasted my time. It arrives around 60% of the book, at this point I'm jumping pages and dialogue just to get through. I was close to the finish line.

😑 I am irked when a dude acts like a Saint or whatever as soon as he meets the woman. Like his girl disappears AGAIN. This is the 3rd time she's ran away. You have matching tattoos, you gave her a cut, claimed her I front of your group at Church, with her friends, and at a party.....yet wingbat runs off AGAIN....but of course he does even consider someone else because he's sooo heart broken. Like I was truly hoping he caught a clue and dated someone else

Sooo.....
🤪 This story needed to be a 90 min read. At 40% the story could have ended with an epilogue and the characters would have been likable. Instead the author just wanted to keep piling on but the characters didn't change. Their actions didn't change. It was like insanity repeating the same horrible mistakes over and over again with no learning or growth.

Annoying female lead

I was sick of her before I even got halfway through the book. Her insecurities and knee-jerk reactions got old fast. I didn’t even care about how she supposedly got that way after a while. The whole storyline was also pretty unbelievable. The villains just happen to always know how to find her, at just the right time, even when no one else can? And their plot would never have actually worked, anyway. Her immediately running off eventually had me just rolling my eyes and actually yelling “Oh, come on!” Out loud. Then immediately skimming along for the rest of the story, just to find out the ending. Too bad Ajax didn’t end up with someone less annoying. If she had shown that sudden bada** tendency in the beginning or middle instead of the end, I may have liked her. As it was, her simpering and wallowing was so ingrained by then, the sudden growing of a spine was just unbelievable.

*SPOILER ALERT*
Although, at this point, if you’ve read the first books it isn’t much of a surprise. I just want the author to know that not every pregnant woman faints. I have never known one who did, yet that’s how everyone figures out the ladies are pregnant in every story so far. And if the guys haven’t figured out the bunnies are a terrible idea and a risk, they’re stupid and deserve every bit of grief they get because of it. Get a new plot device. This one is getting stale.

So every long running series eventually ends up with the books having a similar feel to them. These books, though they started out strong with interesting characters and mildly suspenseful stories, are now cookie cutter. The names are different but the steps to the story are identical. Boy sees girl, insta love, decides to build a house/buy a cut/ring, girl is insecure, club bunnies/sluts/whores start drama, girl runs away, boys finds girl, they get married etc etc again and again. I know romance has a formula but come on. Change it up a bit. I would rather wait 6 months to a year for a well thought out plot then to simply read the same story over and over just because the books come out with in 90 days of each other. Do I expect these books to have George RR Martin plot lines? Gah, no please don't. But they should at the very least vary from character to character.

Also, these MC guys? If I have to read about one more growling at his "brothers" who he "trusts"? Gak!! These guys have less machismo than the ladies in the story!

These books are not terrible. They aren't awful. A quick read where you can skip whole paragraphs. But if they weren't free on KU? I would not pay for them.

Holy drama overload! It was literally constant. How many times can birth control fail? How many times can someone be abducted from the same place in the same way? Don't get me started on the bunnies. Having said all that the book wasn't bad but, maybe branch out some. I'm not trying to be mean. This author definitely has a following for a reason. I read the first 3 books in this series. The same characters are in the books with the focus being on the main couple. So it's awesome to 'keep in touch'' with previous couples. The h in this one saved herself several times before the H got there. You go girl😀!! There lots of steam. If you've invested in previous books/series this would be a good addition.

As soon as Ajax sees Jessica he is done for, he wants her more then anything. The problem is Jessica is clueless to his feelings even though he is doing everything in his power to get to notice his interest. When Jessica becomes aware they begin, but when Jessica's past comes to haunt her trouble begins to brew will they be able to survive the storm threatening to tear them apart?

Great book, another fantastic story in this series. I enjoyed every character and liked that Jessica was a bit clueless. Ajax had to work to get her to give him a chance. Always excited to see what is next with this author.

Temper, assumptions and an overwhelming need to run
Ajax’s Nymph (Hunters Creek Archangels Warriors MC Book 3) by Ciara St. James takes the reader on another whirlwind MC romance with Ajax falling fast, the speed of which makes the patience he needs difficult to determine. Too fast will make her run just moving too slow would. Jessica is extremely guarded and purposely oblivious to men, their interest and especially Ajax’s pursuit. This young woman’s hurts run deep and Ajax has his hands full trying to scale her walls, assumptions and need to run.
Beyond the romance and the heat that Ajax and Jessica generate, there’s plenty of action happening. As soon as one lady is safe another is in peril. Jessica is no different, but the threat is unique. Surprise, intrigue and anticipation is the name of the game for resolving the threat to Jessica in MC justice style readers expect of this protective alpha group.
Overall, Ajax and Jessica learn the hard way about tempers, communication, assumptions and running away then overcome all hardships to establish their hard won love of a lifetime. Ajax ensures Jessica’s HEA beautifully and I cannot wait for book 4.

Ajax’s Nymph is the third book in Ciara St. James’ Hunter Creek Archangels Warriors MC series. This installment focuses on the romantic journey of Jessica Abrams and Kellam “Ajax” Knight. Readers met Jessica and Ajax as secondary characters in earlier books. There is an attraction between Ajax and Jessica. Jessica is stalked by a local police officer Talbot. Jessica is hiding out from her stepmother, May, and her stepsister, Melody, who came into her life when she was 10. They chastisement and belittlement caused her to have a great deal of insecurities. They are after her for her inheritance. She managed to escape and landed in Hunter Creek. Ajax works toward wearing down Jessica’s insecurities. Will he be successful? Will there be a future for them? Will her stepfamily find her? Can he keep her safe? You must read this book to discover what unfolds.
Ms. St. James pens a delightful romance with strong multi-layered lead characters. Her lead characters are strong, determined, confident yet vulnerable. I enjoyed their growth as the story progressed. I also enjoy how she uses secondary characters throughout this book and this series to build a sense of community. I liked the strong dialog. I appreciated the dual point of view to tell their back stories. Ms. St. James’ use of descriptive language paints vivid scenes.

Good Read

Ajax’s Nymph is the third book in the Hunters Creek Archangels Warriors series and follows Ajax as he meets Jessica, who is a shy lady who has very low self esteem and struggles to believe that a man like Ajax could want her.

I think the relationship in this book was quite a difficult one for them to get started as there were things working against the characters. However, to me this made the story more interesting and kept me turning pages to find out what happened next. I liked the characters and loved they were polar opposites of each other in my opinion. If you’ve read the previous books in this series then the world is already really well established but even if you were to read this as a standalone then you can get the jist of what has come before while still enjoying this book.

Overall, this was an enjoyable read with a good story and characters that you can’t help but want for them to find their HEA even through the turmoil of what’s happened to them. I would recommend giving it a read.

Ugh

Warning, some spoilers…
This book annoyed me like no other! Jessica was the WORST character I have ever read in any of the series by Ciara St James. Jessica was a pathetic, obnoxious, basket case of a woman who honestly pissed me off with every page I read. I have never wanted the guy to find another woman in any of the books I’ve read by this author but in this case I believe Ajax deserved better! She complained and cried and ran away time after time after time! When will she write a book where the woman doesn’t run away over a misunderstanding? When?! It’s getting old. Really, really old. It’s like they follow the same script, guy meets girl, girl doesn’t think he wants her for more than a fling, guy convinced her he does, girl has dangerous drama, bunnies cause problems, girl runs away, drama follows girl… it’s always the same.

I love this series soo much! Jessica was a character I could really relate to. Her self-esteem is pretty tattered. She has been burned so many times that she just can't take any chances with men. Its a wonder she makes friends with the old ladies. You don't find out all the circumstances of her past until later. When you do, its a miracle she gives Ajax a chance at all. Even with her past, though, she has a core of strength that gets her through some rough patches. Ajax is a really good guy. Yeah, he makes mistakes, all the guys in this series do. Its how they handle their mistakes that really set them apart. They learn from them, they apologize, they do better. These folks feel like my family, I know them so well and I adore that! I can't wait for the next book!

Sweet and crazy story for Ajax and Jessica

This is a full story with a pronounced beginning, middle, and end. The beginning was Ajax winning over Jessica. Unfortunately, Jessica has been beat down emotionally by her stepmother. Poor thing, this weary feeling has taken over her life and feelings. The middle is Jessica struggling with self worth and fighting off the villains. The end part, the story plateaus and the villains are taken down. The MC Family celebrates and Ajax and Jessica get their happy ending. If you are a fan of this series, then you will enjoy this book even with the self esteem struggles. Read On!

From the minute Ajax sees Jessica, he knows she is the one for him. Despite his every effort to show how he feels about her, Jessica has no idea of his interest. Jessica has always been told she is not enough, no matter how hard she tried so when Ajax makes it clear of his interest she is not easily on board with believing he wants her. Ajax plans to breakdown all the walls Jessica has up and when it is all done will she realize she is enough for a man like him?

This was a really good one, a bit angsty at times but you get where Jessica is coming from. I liked Ajax a lot, he has the patience of a saint but he has his eyes on his prize. Another great story from this author.

Very frustrating read

I really like this Author and most of her books, but on occasion I read something like this book and can't wait for it to end. The woman that Ajax wants n fights for Runs, over and over and over for pretty much the same reason. This was not a woman but a child like character and is very frustrating. Sometimes when reading a story like this makes me wonder if the author just can't come with new content so just keeps repeating the same options. I really do love this offer even with a lot of repetitive writing. Just can't handle a whiney, insecure for as long as she was.

3 1/2 ☆ I liked this book, but I frequently got annoyed with Jessica's lack of self esteem and jumping to conclusions then running away and Ajax losing his temper and saying things he didn't mean. Jessica's history being explained later in the book explained a lot of her issues, but it was still annoying that despite EVERY man in the book saying how pretty she was, she constantly bad mouthed herself. Your past can have a big affect on you, but it wasn't like her Step-mom & step-sister were with her from a young age. Didn't her Dad or Mom ever tell her nice things growing up??? Idk? Just my opinion...

Another Warrior Falls!

Ciara St. James created a mind blowing imaginary world full of adventures, excitement, hot sexy men & women. And each book & storyline will pull you into her imaginary world too.

Ajax & Jessica's story definitely had a lot of twists & turns that felt like I was on a roller coaster. I also enjoyed revisiting previous characters & getting to know more new ones too. I am looking forward to the stories of 2 warriors and their female interests in upcoming books to see what their background is about & if they get their HEA too. And see how many more babies pop up lol just gotta love all these baby making alphas & their Old Ladies lol.

Ajax and Jessica

I wanted to give Jessica a participation trophy and a 'good try' pat on the back, but she was too busy believing every negative thing anyone said about her. I mean, come on, girl, trust issues are one thing, but Ajax was practically shouting his love for her from the rooftops and she just wasn't having it, it was like watching a train wreck that you couldn't look away from. I honestly felt like smacking her thh. Aside from that, Ciara St James still managed to write another sexy suspenseful romance story (after Jessica finally got outta her head) and will continue to binge read about all these hot alpha bikers - again 😊

Painful to read after 40%. Skimmed to finish. Both main characters were morons. They both kept doing the same stupid shit over and over. Jessica was unbelievably insecure and kept assuming the worst of Ajax and he kept acting like an oblivious dolt to everything around him. Oh, and of course the club girls are out of control and the big bad bikers can’t seem to figure out how to deal with their unwanted advances. Looks like that’s going to be the case in the next book as well. 🙄 No thanks.

I’m finding it very difficult to write a review about this novel. Unfortunately, the main female character was troubled and seriously drove me nuts with her running away. I think if she would’ve just ran away once and maybe thought about it the second time, but didn’t actually go…I could’ve liked her. However, she was weak and needed therapy. Ajax, the male main character, was someone that I would liked to have known and felt kind of bad for him that he just didn’t walk away when he could have. Anyway, they got their HEA so it was all good.

Another winner, I’ve loved and gotten lost in every book in this series. Jessica broke my heart in places with her level of insecurity, but Ajax was the man to show her, her true beauty.
I might add there’s an element of sameness in the story line on all the books in this authors work, BUT If it works, why fix it? I know coming in what I’m getting, and while it’s a different story lines I love these few simple similarities in her books, they are just onions in a very robust und diverse gravy.

Cinderella meets M.C.

I would have given a better rating but I really wanted to smack these 2 characters for their immaturity and repetitive scenes being played out in different chapter/different scenarios.
Wicked step mom and stepsister included. Of. Course.
The only reason I continued this read;
I enjoyed the previous ones and I like to have every character and all of the circumstances to connect to the previous books on into the next book.

Ajax and Jessica

Another really great story. Poor Jessica got kidnapped more times than any one that I can remember and sadly by her poor excuse for a stepmother and stepsister with the help of two imbeciles. She proved how strong she is and well worth loving by Ajax. Ajax as well as most men seem oblivious to how these stupid possessive bunnies act with them and don't see their true colors. Happy reading.

I had to give it a 3 star rating because Jessica drove me insane with her stubborness and running away. Once she settled down I enjoyed the story more. Each story is unique is some ways but mostly this series has become like a cookie cutter series. Every story has the same problems - woman running, stupid bunny getting in the way. When are these going to figure out that the bunnies have to go. The single guys can find their own women.

Immature and Irritating couple

Could there ever be a more immature and irritating couple than Ajax and Jessica? Why does this author change the female's personality from one book to another? You could tell from the beginning how this story was going to pan out by the ridiculous errors Ajax made and the response from Jessica. It became monotonous as did the many sex scenes. This author needs to learn that less is more than enough.

Boring

The female character is unbelievably childish and pathetic. Same old story, fall in love instantly, she is insecure and leaves, reconcile, someone tries to kidnap/kill her, he rescues her, shes pregnant, etc….. sex scenes are 8-10 pages long. It’s like the author was trying to fill pages with words to meet a quota. I could have read the 1st three chapters and the last three and not missed a thing.

Loved this

Jessica and Ajax, what a great story this certainly has been to read. I had to feel for Ajax because he was certainly in love with Jess. However Jessica's insecurities and past experiences leave her with doubts that certainly make it hard for Ajax.
But it's the return of her stepmother and step sister that have things been ramped up in the Club.

Clare St James really has excelled in this series so far and im looking forward to binging the rest of the series.
