The new trope that seems to have hit the market the past few months and months to come is RH -Reverse Harem and Bully Romances aka Bullymance. I am loving this theme and they have been added to my favorite trope list. This book starts off with Trixy Ansley who is best friends with David Hallow. The Hallows are the "rich boys" of the neighborhood and are used to getting what they want. That is until one night, the same day David finds out he is about to be a father, he shows his true colors to Trixy and she leaves with the pregnant girlfriend. The next morning, the pair learn that David is dead and is blaming Trixy. Needing a new plan Trixy and her new friend head to the UK and stay with Trixy's Aunt. They find a new rhythm and with a plan to move forward, Trixy heads to university their while her friend who now has a baby Noah works in Trixy's aunt's bakery. When Trixy arrives, she hears rumors of three American football legends starting at the university. Turns out that it is the Three G's aka The Hallow Triplets and they have followed Trixy here as they have been busy planning their revenge on Trixy for killing their brother. Of course, they don't know the full side of the story and they concoct a plan to make Trixy fall in love with them and then ruin her. Of course, with fake relationships as we all know by reading books - the lines start to blur and once the boys follow through with their revenge plan and Trixy is ruined. They start to feel "actual feelings" for Trixy and want her back. This is where they find out the truth about that night and now will do anything to win Trixy back as all three brothers have fallen head over heels for her and are not leaving the UK without her.

Good read
So this book was cute in its own little way. It had a good storyline but everything seemed a little rushed. I'm not sure I would of been able to forgive the brothers so easily and to me they should of been put through a Lot more pain. And if I was the Hollow brothers I'm not sure i'd be able to show my faces again without feeling like the biggest POS there was. However, this book had potential to be something great. All in all I'm going with 3 stars.

What a very wonderful surprise this book was!! I loved that the King family was featured in this! It was so amazing to see what life has brought to them. Trixie was such a sweet soul and you really hurt for her as you read her thoughts and feelings. I really wanted to hate the Hollow brothers, but their point of view chapters made me feel for them as well. It's impossible to swoon over any one of them as they are a package deal. I love these real life settings that Ms. Bailey creates as they are so relatable. This didn't have a lot of world building, but it wasn't necessary. The heart and the truth and even revenge were what made this book work so well. G. Bailey is always so entertaining and her words quickly fly by!

Let me start off with saying that I’m very picky when I read bully romances because I have been severely bullied when I was in school and though I don’t go out of my way to pick up bully romances, I was curious to see how G.Bailey would write one. I’ve read lots of books by her so I decided to give this one a chance and I actually enjoyed it! The h wasn’t a doormat and the guys did have to grovel and fight to get her back. I would’ve liked to see the guys grovel a tad bit more (because I’m evil like that) and I wanted to see the stuff the guys did to get her back instead of Trix just telling us the things they sent to her. However, I was happy with what the guys did at their game and how Trix didn’t just accept them back right after they apologized. I can’t stand when the h just takes the heroes back with a sorry excuse for an apology and do no groveling so I’m happy that Trix made them work for it.

Lately I have been reading a few bully romances and this is one of them. I need to start with a massive trigger warning, suicide is discussed and the main person is blamed for her best friend killing himself. Don't read this if that is going to cause any triggers.
I liked the MC, she is a strong independent woman who knows right from wrong. After leaving for university she is setting herself up with a pretty ok life, that is until the brothers of her best friend come back into her life. They have followed her and intend to make her pay for the things she has done.
Now here it becomes a bully romance, but we don't delve into the bullying very deeply. She takes it in her stride and they decide they need to take a different approach. Would I forgive them for what they have done? Are they redeemable enough in this book to earn the affection of the MC? The book is well enough written, it has a very good MC (one of the best I have read in a bully romance) but the guys are not very deeply thought out. We do see some scenes from their perspective, but they still seem shallow. Maybe because we only glance briefly at how they try to redeem themselves, but the guys just weren't doing it for me. Which is a shame, cause the rest of the characters are awesome.

A work in progress?
This has the potential to be a good book however at the moment irlt reads more like the plot line. The characters could be great but they need more depth. We need more surrounding the best friend and how he became a monster, we need snippets of the good slowly showing how he changed, possibly displays of his obsessive behavior which is hinted at.
For the main female lead it's a great start but again we need more, we also need to see how she is manipulated into a relationship with all three and how slowly her feelings change this all happened to fast too easy with no back story, she may have been in live with the triplets before, she may have had a crush there just isn't enough possibly done as flashbacks to co-inside with the BFF and his behaviour showing subtle signs of possessiveness?
The triplets are supposed to be dark, I need to know why (again hinted at but not enough) what they have done to previous victims to get their own way or show dominance on their peers.
Sorry for the poor rating and if review sounds patronising but it does have the potential to be good just now it seems like it more of an outline tha. The book.

Just mediocre
This was a quick afternoon read. It was a lot less than I was expecting. I felt like the entire plot was rushed an underdeveloped. I never really connected to any of the characters and I actually had a hard time telling the brothers apart. Not only did they have names that started with the same letter, but they didn't have distinct personalities.
Trix was sweet, but not much else. I don't know anything about her beyond the basic facts. She's blonde, likes pink, and has a cool aunt... Yeah that's about it. I was left with so many questions about her. Why do the girls at school hate her? What is she studying? I just wanted to know more about her.
Basically, this could have been an incredibly moving story but it just fell short on so many levels. I would love to see the author rewrite this and flesh it out more. Maybe turn it into a series. Right now, it's just mediocre at best. But, if you're looking for a quick afternoon read that you won't get too invested in, this might suffice.

This book was just okay..If you are looking for a quick read that wont keep your attention long then this is perfect for you. I have never read a G bailey book before but since I have been reading alot of RH romances and bully romances this came up in my recommendations and I decided to give it a try. I did read the entire book because I wanted to see what happened in the end but about 80% in I just skimmed to the end. It lacked depth. Nothing was really explained. The most popular girl in the University hated Trixy but it never explained why or even hinted at any reason. Just that she "accidentally pissed off the queen bee". Then in the beginning, David tries to rape her and all she did was talk back to her father one time and now he says "thats it you are cut off, no more money and you are shipped off to London"..Okayyyy a bit much. The brothers were never even described except for 1 guy. Everything just seemed rushed and not described. I am not one to judge an author on just 1 book they wrote so I am going to read the King series and see if it is any better :)

Honest opinion.
I didn’t feel any real connection to the characters. I didn’t like any of the Hallow brothers from the beginning to the end. I thought Trixy was naive & dumb to have believed the guys had changed their ways that quickly. Then to have slept with them right away without dating or trying to be friends for a bit first. It went straight from them torturing her and telling her they were going to ruin her to sex & love then back to torture. I feel nothing was really resolved from their past from what happened with David. It just felt rushed. I was hoping to like at least one brother.
The only character I really liked was Lottie & I’d love to read the story about her & Jake. I will say I loved Trixy’s compassion & caring nature for Lottie back when they left home & she took her to England with her. I really liked her from the beginning of the book to right around when the brothers were introduced. I understood why she took them back at the end & I’m happy she had a happily ever after. I wanted more from this book.

Well let’s just start with the facts first:
* This is a full length standalone contemporary RH bully romance
* Because it’s a standalone, it’s quite fast paced
* It is set in the same world as the King brothers series, which was a pleasant surprise
Trixy is kind, stubborn and has a spine of steel however she’s a bit of a sucker for punishment. She knew the Hallow brothers were going to break her heart but against self preservation she jumped in the deep end anyway.
The Hallow brothers are petty; they set out to get revenge for their brother who committed suicide (his choice) but they didn’t think they would actually fall in love with Trixy. They have stalker tendencies and can’t respect the word ‘no’; now in some cases this can be endearing but it came off a little creepy (Griff’s B&E in the apartment or the fact that they moved to England and enrolled at her university).
All in all a good read!

Mid-range Story
In 5 words: Mid-range story with realistic characters.
This book follows all the conventions and clichés now expected of a reverse harem novel. The main leads are financially well off, some sort of tragedy creates conflict and bad decisions then everything wraps up with a HEA ending. Nothing new or exciting is added to Try To Ruin Me, placing it firmly as a mid-range story of this genre.
G. Bailey does make up for a mediocre storyline with some very relatable and realistic characters. Normally I find myself frustrated with character choices but had no such issues with the main leads of this novel. Even the secondary characters added value to the story.
There are some minor grammatical issues, so be beware if you are a stickler for such things. Otherwise this is a good book to read on a lazy weekend.

Based in the same world as G. Bailey’s King Brothers series, Try To Ruin Me follows Trixy as she try’s to escape from her past as she starts college. Unfortunately that doesn’t work as the Hallow Brothers seek her out for revenge and try everything in the process to ruin her. Lucky Trixy is a stronger character and won’t be so easily destroyed.
This is some a little different and darker from G. Bailey as this is a reverse harem bully romance, but still just an amazing as the other books set in this world. I’d recommend reading the King Brothers series first as there is a little cross over of characters, but it isn’t a requirement to read Try To Ruin Me.

No words
This is the 3rd or 4th book in life I have been unable to finish. I don't have words to convey how bad the first 20% is. I can't force myself to go on. Bad grammar, improper use of contractions, an author clueless about the sport she is writing about. Did I miss something in college? Is dodge ball part of the curriculum? Since when did American football have 'matches'? I am not trying to be petty. But I expect research. I know nothing about London colleges, not done an ounce of research, maybe they do have American football there, and dodge ball is a requirement for someone taking advanced science. Is Advanced Science a thing in colleges I didn't attend? Regardless, this author lost me with the complete lack of editing, horrible story telling, lack of information, lack of detail, lack of background, and misinformation.

I don’t really know how I feel about this book. On one side I love it because it is a reverse harem. On the other I feel that this book was very rushed. For me it is a short book so maybe that’s why but also just the story I feel that they went too fast over all the feelings.
Like in the beginning she new they were not good because they clearly warned her but she still went on and fall in love. I can understand her feeling but at the sale time it just feels weird she just accepts it so fast.
Also the brothers are real assholes, like I get it u want revenge but you all only new one side of the story and then when she was going to tell you all just pushed her away. And I they didn’t even tell her they loved her at that moment not they waited and then her friend came all the way to kick their asses.
So yea i gave it 3 stars because it still was good.

this book is terrible. i didn’t take it too seriously cause when i was first reading it, i noticed some jarring things and then i was like, “oh, this is *that* type of book.” so, i didn’t judge too harshly. this book is rushed. everything is rushed. fmc says she won’t fall in love with the mmcs, won’t give them her heart one chapter, but three chapters later, she says she’s fallen for them. also, what’s up with her fucking the brothers one after another in a row. three straight chapters of her fucking them right after saying they were gonna be friends. and then after that she says “i love you” like weren’t you still just playing with them? 😭 they change their minds so quickly, both the fmc and the mmcs. this book is so unserious, i can’t even get mad at it frfr. just learn how to write better, girl.

Tears and lots of mushy moments
I read the prologue and was worried there would be a cliffhanger and no proper ending. Luckily I was not disappointed, the prologue actually comes in about 65% of the way through. It is a standalone rh contemporary novel though there are books on other members of the family they don't need to be read. This book created so much angst, I was nervous until I reached the chapter with the prologue pages so if you don't want spoilers skip it. Despite the nervousness I really enjoyed this book, it had me gripped. I cried several times, I felt trixies pain and I wanted to burst with gidiness. Brilliant write too as I actually can't recall any grammatical errors and it flowed in an easy manner.

I absolutely love the bully romances. Gotta love when they take ya back to the “If he likes you he’ll pick on you” stage of your life. There is just always something so hot about turning true hate into a deep passionate love!
Tricky is an awesome character. She takes all the crap the Hallow brothers (triplets omg *heart eyes*) throw at her and handles it in stride. She’s strong, loyal, and spunky!
The Hallow brothers are jerks. Top notch sexy as sin jerks, but in good reasoning.
The story was hot, heartbreakingly sad and intense. It sucks you in and has you rooting for the bad guys to get their HEA ( I do so love when a book does that!) The little surprise of the King family made me squeal with excitement!

I didn't totally love this one.. I love most of what Bailey writes but this one just wasn't for me. I loved the King family (they show up in here for a minute because it's based in the same world) So I loved that we got to see them again.
My issue with this book is that Trixy forgave the brothers too easily. I think this book was roughly 150 pages so it was on the shorter side and I just felt like everything was rushed. I have a hard time with Bully romances because I apparently hold grudges.. Because When Trix forgave the guys that quickly, I was like no girl they need to suffer more and beg more.
I think the bones of a great story was there but it was just too short and too rushed to be great.

Good
There seems to be a bully romance boom recently and for a stand alone book this is a good story, however, the pacing seemed to be a little rushed. I also feel a little conflicted about the brothers original plan to ruin the MC. Considering what they thought she did and the amount of time passed since she "killed" their brother I felt that just embarrassing her/ruining her reputation seemed a little weak. I would have also loved a little more depth to David and his relationship with Trixy before his death. Overall I enjoyed reading it and would recommend to anyone who wants a quick to read bully romance.

This is a stand-alone, contemporary, bully RH. I’m not usually a fan of bully romance, but I really liked this story. The Hallow brothers blame Trixy for their brothers death, and are out to ruin her. I really like Trixy, she is a genuinely nice, strong MC. She had her world fall apart, and she kept moving forward and helped someone else along the way. The brothers have a skewed view of what happened. I like that she doesn’t just forgive them. I do think some of the relationship building was skimmed over, but I still enjoyed this story. I also liked seeing some cameos from characters in the King series :)

I really enjoyed Gem's journey into the dark read realm with Try To Ruin Me. There was some moments where I was like what!! This sweet author came up with this!! But then I was like, you go girl!! I thoroughly enjoyed this read, and could not put it down until I finished. I kept having to find out what happened next, who did what to who. What would happen to a certain character. The main leads would do anything to break our main characters heart, and you really need to read for yourself if they succeed. Good story, though not a lot of depth and it was predictable. Trixy was too quick to fall into bed with the brothers, consecutively, at the first opportunity and apology. The author did not do a good job of describing the characters. For instance, it was hard to distinguish one brother from the other, personality, looks, or otherwise. Also, I wouldn't say there was very much bullying in this tale. There was a sort of denouement after the capstone bullying incident, and I was simply reading to arrive to the not-surprising ending. Satisfactory book to pass the time though light in content.

So the premise was good, but it just wasn't enough. you can't do a truly good bully to lover book in 148 pages. there wasn't enough book to really get a feel for any of the characters. You don't truly understand Trixy and David's friendship or how she connects with the twins before David's death. You can't really get a feel for the love they all feel as they try to make her love them or the darkness of breaking someone in that way. The boys are supposed to be horrible and mean but you don't see any of that darkness. It just wasn't enough for me to love it. I had no real connection to the characters. It was a cute idea but poorly executed.

This is a thing??
So I'm going to be honest here, I didn't know Billy romance was a thing? I read the reviews and people were fishing over how good this was, and I love g Bailey so I thought I'd give it a shot. I didn'tt finish. So they're horrible. David was a monster. The triplets are monsters. She is an idiot. I don't get the fascination and im pretty open about people's kinks, but this was a stone too far for me. One day their threatening her and embarrassing her in public and the next she is sleeping with them? And I thought little would at least tell her that she was crazy, but nope. Ok so long rant to say, not my thing.

This was the first bull romance book I have read and it seems like more and more are popping up right now. It was very well written and I thoroughly enjoyed this book from the talented G Bailey. I wasn't sure what to expect with this book but I was pleasantly surprised.
Trixie and the Hallow brother are so swoon worthy! Plus the King family is looped into this book which I was completely surprised with! I loved the King Brothers Series and this was just as good!

I really loved this standalone bully romance. Trixy is a really strong, devoted, kind, generous, and loyal character. Her love for the Hallow Brothers is epic in its intensity. They are, obviously, jerks, but in this story the hatred has a reason. It makes the miscommunication sad, and nail biting as you wait for the truth to slowly eek out. It was well written, passionate in its plot and character development and it made me happy to read a bully romance that was more than class hatred. Very well done!!

I have never really been one to understand the whole idea of a bully type romance. The guys in this book set out to purposely destroy the girl and that confuses me as to why then they would fall for said girl. However, I was pleasantly surprised that I was drawn to the characters in this book so quickly. What begins as as a mistaken idea for revenge ends with a beautiful love story and that makes it a more interesting story and one that I quite enjoyed. I love G Bailey's books and look forward to whatever she brings us next.
