"No guns. No resources. No aid. No nothing. And I'm supposed to be the hero? I'm as good as dead."Gnath Fist is uploaded onto a cloned variation of Earth. As he adjusts to his new circumstances, he’s briefed on his first To liberate the city of Mahns-a-Lore. In order to be successful, he is given a Mech Core and acquires the Cymech class. There's just one He's got no resources, apart from a mangy kid. At least the kid is a savvy engineer. With mere pieces of a mech build, Gnath is supposed to level up and take on dangerous enemies. Oh yea—he's also got to watch his stabilization. If he doesn't, he risks dying to the Cyborg effect.
This book was a slow burn to start and finished stronger, probably nearer 3.5 stars than 4. Not all the technology/alien physiology descriptions were clear and some of the character interactions felt laboured. However, I liked the concept and the ending showed potential of a good series of adventures to follow.
This was an enjoyable enough litRPG, although it was rather sparse on descriptions and character development. If you want a rather straightforward story that has clearly marked progression and some rather fast-hitting action scenes, you might give this a read.
