After I challenged the Blood Council's four shifter heirs at a college party, the last thing I expected was to receive a full scholarship and an admittance letter from the exclusive Wolf Moon Academy.
Despite never desiring to be an alpha, this was an opportunity of a lifetime… or so I thought.
I soon learned that there was more behind my admission to the Academy than my education. I was there to be a lesson to the heirs -- in particular, the sexiest and strongest one, Liam Hale.
As if that wasn’t bad enough, it turns out that he is my true mate. A fact that should be treasured, but he makes it clear that we will never be together.
However, things aren’t always what they seem, and we all have secrets— some bigger than others. When the truth comes out it’ll either set me free or set me up for disaster.

Reading has always been one of my favorite hobbies, even as a little girl. When I was a toddler, my parents would read stories to me over and over. I would hear them so often that I had the books memorized and could recite the story word by word.
My favorite genres are fantasy, paranormal, and contemporary romance. So of course that's what I'm inclined to write.
I have a husband, two young daughters, and a mini Australian Shepherd. I've lived in Tennessee the majority of my life and love the state.

I wanted to like this. I read book 1 and I had to stop. It was very poorly written. The storyline was good and different than the norm, but its delivery was poor.
The dialogue was horrendous and at times had the character contradicting themselves from one sentence to the next. The FMC was daft. She had the most ridiculous thoughts and couldn’t put two and two together to save her life.
One of the MMC’s, Kai, I deemed to be on the spectrum from the way he behaved and it solidified my belief more towards the end of the first book.
Also, the way the author wrote certain things made people look suspicious, and I don’t think it was intentional. I still don’t trust Bree. Mia’s mom seems suspicious versus the mysterious I believe the author was going for.
The world building is extremely lacking. I’m not even sure what’s going on there in terms of how the politics of their society is fleshed out becomes it seems like the Hale’s rule over all the other council members despite it being said that all four major region leaders were equal. Then there’s the whole “the strongest rules over the region” bit, but it seems that one family bloodline has ruled over each region since its inception. I’m also curiouser as to why Brent Forest or whatever his name was seemed to not have any family members, considering what his position was, meaning someone came before him. No one in his family came forward to take care of his fated mate or anything like that. It was like he just came out of nowhere and had no family. Ridiculous. Like, wouldn’t he have introduced his mate to his family? His mother? Didn’t he have someone he was relieving from their position, whom would have likely been his father? Why wouldn’t his father resume the position until they could figure something out to maintain the checks and balances. So many holes and gaps in the story.
Then there’s the intermittent abilities of a werewolf. Sometimes they can smell lies and other times, they are lying their butts off and no one seems to smell a thing…because it’s convenient for the author for them to be able to tell a lie in that situation. Nope. Either they can or they can’t. All the time or none of the time.
Anyway, I couldn’t move forward to the second book in this trilogy due to the ridiculous of it all and so many immature things happening. This book definitely falls in the teen/YA genre, with its weird sex scenes that exhibit a lack of actual experience in that area because it’s written so poorly.
I cannot and will not recommend this book. See my brief notes, highlights and commentary on Goodreads. Happy reading!
This trilogy has a good well thoughtout storyline and plot throughout. It kept me guessing all the way through with everything it made you question which made the books hard to put down. Mia and Liam are the main characters but their group of friends are just as much in the forefront as them apart from their sexy time. The heirs were certainly mean characters who had been manipulated and controlled from being young. They were their fathers shadow until they werent. Mia and Liam were fated mates and that was were the issue of the entire trilogy for all four heirs. However, I found Simon who was one of the heirs last to rebel quite funny even though he was mean. HEA for the heirs... I really hope that Micah has his own book as he was the one without. Good strong character development with a good solid plot and storyline. Highly recommended.
I was glad that I had the box set. Otherwise I would have been in withdrawal.
The books start with a college group of individuals who are learning how to grow up. Their next adventure is to grow physically and mentally. The final chapter shows them becoming the best of the best. Even more importantly, this book follows in the path of Tolkien, McCaffery, and all those authors who bring fantasy into the world that represents hope and heroism.
This was another great one, but I was a bit confused on one of the secrets. Given that her father was a pack alpha, I would have thought there would be enough attention on them that some ‘family secrets’ wouldn’t have been kept. Just one thing that bothered me. Also, the whole ‘heir and a spare’ theory didn’t seem to have enough spares around, which was never addressed. Overall, a great read.
I started this boxset and couldn’t put it down. I loved the characters. Every single one of them, not just the two main characters. I was kind of sad for it to finish since it meant I couldn’t have more of them all. I highly recommend this store to anyone who likes coming of age stories about werewolves.
2 days and all books read. It is that captivating. Please approach with caution, you will be hooked. Absolutely loved these books. It has everything you need and more. Well done author outstanding work and will be looking to read more from you. Now I need to catch up on lost sleep.... lol
I absolutely LOVE Jen's book and this one didn't disappoint at all! It has everything you could possibly want in a romance and still have you crave more. If you haven't downloaded this gem you Seriously need to. I can't wait for all her series to be in bundles to buy them. Hope you enjoy this masterpiece as much as I did. Happy reading.
This story started out as a bully kind of trope but quickly became a fated mates finding each other, bonding together, turning enemies into allows, with some drama and action built in, all on the way to a great resolution. I really enjoyed this series.
I was hooked from the beginning. A bit of a bully romance in the paranormal world and I loved it. I loved the mystery woven throughout that slowly gets unraveled. This was a great trilogy and I’m definitely going to miss this world.
I really enjoyed this book and loved the characters and how they came together. I'm glad everything worked out for Mia and Liam and the heirs. Even though there was some lives lost it was necessary for they weren't really helping their people.
These books met all my expectations. Characters were believable and the plot was gripping. I wish they were longer. Enjoyed the scenery and realistic views presented. Shame there was a mate found for Micah. Great read.
When I started this book, I expected romance and hardship. What I got was so much more. It is honestly one of the best new books I have read for some time. I will be looking for more from this author.
I love wolf shifters! Amazon was on point when they recommended this to me! The writing is good, the characters are interesting, and the love story is cute.
Another brilliant trilogy in Jen’s shifter world. I loved all the characters and their development, and the storytelling was excellent. Bring on the next book!
