Dr I might be f**king the love of your life, Marshall. Reading that line while drinking water was almost my undoing, almost choked laughing. If I thought Gabe was crazy funny in book one then this book was going to kill me. But this is a new Harper. She’s strong and she’s confident, Gabe is kind of stunned. They both went through therapy and reading some of these chapters I felt like I was with them. I love Gabe and Harper and they have both grown up in this book. Loved this story and giving it five stars. I highly recommend it and I’m going to miss these guys.

L. Ann concludes her Forgotten legacy series with Broken Halo holding nothing back and ultimately delivering an amazing end to her tormented rockers journeys.
This series was a commitment that was absolutely worth every hour spent immersed in the lives of L. Ann's Forgotten Legacy rockers. Focusing on the tying up loose ends, specifically those of Gabe Mercer and the love of his life Harper Jackson, lots of painful revelations and self-examination took place in Broken Halo. There were many choices that felt right at the time and this story played out the consequences. Out of the bad came a lot of good and a much more solid and honest reality for this couple. This work showed how you could be stronger together if you are strong on your own and that was the weak link in this relationship. High-level dysfunction and a love so deep and fated were pitted against each other with this couple driving this story quickly. With lots of broken moments the heartbreak and self sabotage were excruciating to watch play out yet necessary for Gabe and Harper to find their full potential.
L Ann’s Forgotten Legacy series is the kind to get lost in. The emotions batter you like waves of feelings and this author doesn’t hold back. L. Ann gives equal attention to all of her characters perspectives, leaving no details out, for riveting reads. This author leaves nothing out, no dark corner unexplored, giving amazing amounts of detail and attention to all the events that build in her works. Her story telling flourishes in angst, yet you can expect her to lead her characters to the stability and calm that they deserve. Brutal honesty, raw feelings and enough baggage to fill an airport carousel Broken Halo stayed true to L. Ann's other works in this series, thriving in her insightful observations. Broken Halo proved that you could not find a better writer to take you from hopeless to hopeful than L. Ann!

This book will be extremely difficult to review without spoilers, but I will do my best. I went into this book expecting to know where it would lead me, and I couldn't have been more wrong. This novel totally turned my world upside down.
Broken Halo ripped me apart, broke my heart, made me cry, and made me so ANGRY! I'm not sure if I've ever felt so angry at/for fictitious characters before, but Broken Halo evoked some extremely powerful emotions from me. While reading Broken Halo, I felt like I was the one being broken down to my elemental parts, when in fact, it was the characters… but I will be damned if I didn’t experience their pain like it was my own.
Giving this book five stars does not do it justice. This is one of those books that burrowed its way into my soul and it’s going to stay there… It is NOT a book you read and then move on to the next book. It is a book that will stick with you...a book that will change you.
Over the last 4 books, Seth, Luca, Dex, and Gabe and their significant others became family, and this story had to be told. It had to happen and it was the PERFECT (although heartbreaking and soul-shattering) ending to this series.
I feel that everyone should meet the beautifully broken men of Forgotten Legacy. Gabe, Seth, Dex and Luca will worm their way into your heart and just know, this is NOT your typical Rockstar romance. It is SO MUCH MORE! The writing is fantastic, the characters have so many layers, and the storyline... is like nothing I have read before!
I LOVED THIS BOOK, pure and simple and I am shouting from the rooftops… READ THIS SERIES/READ THIS BOOK!!

Excellent read
This is one of the best Rock Star series I have ever read and Broken Halo was an incredible finale. This read brought out so many emotions along with drama, angst and steam. At times I hated Harper, at times I didn't understand Gabe and especially Seth. My heart broke for Gabe. This story covers so many very real things us humans do like self sabotaging ourselves. Fabulous read that gives (eventually) closure to a fabulous series.

I waited & I WAITED for this to release and then I swore I’d read it slow to make it last. I made it 4 days, that’s it. And that’s only due to being busy with the holidays. Once I started this book, I didn’t want to put it down. I’ve grown to love each of the members of Forgotten Legacy but have to say Gabe & Harper are my favorite and I’m so glad we got more of them. This book sheds so much more light on their pasts and their individual headspace. Having all of this, makes you ache for Gabe & Harper more than you did in Tattooed Memories and after the surprise blow in Exquisite Scars.
This would not be a Gabe & Harper story if Gabe didn’t show his mean and vindictive side and if this story was a hearts and flowers story. No, As you’d expect, it’s gritty, dirty, heartbreaking, and 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥!
While Lee Ann could probably continue to thrive by only publishing more Forgotten Legacy stories, I am happy with the ending and appreciate the endings for all! But, Karl!?…Karl, WTF!?

When Harper leaves, Gabe holds on. Barely. He drinks, smokes, hardly eats. Gabe is hiding just how sick he is...until he ends up on emergency. When Harper sees Gabe in emergency she should walk away..but she can't. She reassures him, takes care of him, drawn to him. Soon other members of the Forgotten Legacy family find out he's in hospital...
This book is PERFECTION! It's a rollercoaster of emotion as Gabe and Harper find their way back together. Gabe isn't going to make it easy on Harper! The Forgotten Legacy family (and they are a family) really captures the heart and I just LOVE them! From the super protective Seth, to the intervention of Luca and Dex. There's alot of emotion especially concerning infertility and how it affects a couple, of how it can bring a couple together or push them apart, of family, rock'n'roll, fans, managers, fame and fans. The story is well written, fast paced, with lots of chemistry between Gabe and Harper. The in-depth dual POVs reveals intimately their thoughts, feelings, and emotions, as they explore their relationship and overcome obstacles, twists and turns as they explore their relationship and really see each other. Highly recommended! Don't miss this story!!!

All the feels!
I've read and totally loved every word of this author's Forgotten Legacy series so far and was dying to read this one. It was sitting in my Kindle the day it released but took many days of life and the holidays getting in my way to make it to the end of it but boy, was it worth it!!
Lee Ann once again dragged my heart and emotions through the angsty wringer but I wouldn't expect anything less from this very talented author. Checked so many of my favorite romance boxes- rollercoaster storyline, amazing characters that pulled at my heartstrings with each chapter I read. Steamy, sexy and unexpected with twists, turns and added suspense to round out this fantastically written story of Gabe and Harper's hard won love of a lifetime. What else could I ask for...maybe more stories for this band of brothers and the strong, feisty, loving women who stand beside them no matter what life sends their way.

Well I have to say I liked this story. This is the conclusion of this series and the HEA for Gabe and Harper. It was a long rocky road for them to find there forever. So many emotional ups and downs. Lots of angst and crazy character Interaction. There were still times when Gabriel was a jerk but he grew on me.

OMFG, I only wish I could give this more than 5 stars, this has got to be one of the most Brilliant if not Amazing series I have ever read, and Broken Halo is the Strawberry on the top, it's a roller coaster of different emotions, I wanted to shake Harper for what she put Gabe through, my heart broke for Gabe when he thought he could never be loved, Lee Ann takes your heart breaks it then mends it again, Im going to miss Gabe, Seth, Dex & Luca, but hope to catch up with them in the near future, so if your looking for a brilliant series to read then Forgotten Legacy is for you, Stand up Lee Ann and take a bow you deserved it 👏👏

An awesome ending to a fabulous series!!
I loved this book just as much the rest of them!! Totally love the camaraderie between the guys and the girls. Then the couple's relationships were just as entertaining. Also, the great sex scenes. Lastly, I loved the ending.

The truth about Gabe!
There are two sides to every story and the truth is in the middle. This book proved the truth of that. Team Gabe or Team Harper, this book shows the hidden tale behind all those secrets and lies and will blow you away. Broken Halo is a fitting end to the series. This book is absolutely fantastic and shows L Ann’s immense talent in portraying broken, brooding and dark men.
There are two sides to every story and the truth is in the middle. This book proved the truth of that. L. Ann who is the Goddess of Dark and Broody Men has given us the perfect ending to her Forgotten Legacy series.
Broken Halo is a must read for anyone who is a fan of a Rockstars and deep storylines.
I would go into deep detail about the book, but to be honest with you it would spoil it.
I'll just say this, read it, enjoy it and go on the best ride of 2021.
If you've not read the first 4 books then you had better because you need to read them in order, front to back and no skipping so you will understand what is going on as well as the meaning behind Strawberry, Lemon, Cherry, Pineapple and Peaches.
Thank you once again L. Ann for one of the best Series that I have read this year.

Broken Halo is the last book in the "Forgotten Legacy " series. This book is definitely a must read, but you need to read the others books first.
This book made me smile, cry, get excited and very emotional reading it. Would I read it again, absolutely!!

Editing to add audiobook review. So everything I said in the book review is a 100% true but man. The audio! I love Thomas. He plays both rolls so well and just gets all deep and gravelly. It’s just another amazing layer to elevate this series. The only criticism I have is there are a few misplaced dramatic pauses or accented words but it’s totally minor. This was a wonder conclusion to the this series and having the same narrator through the entire series brings the characters to life and it’s so easy to recognize them because he gives the each such a personality.

This book...I have no words to describe it. It was a roller coaster ride from the beginning. It was great to see the growth for both Gabe and Harper in this book. They finally sought out the help they needed and became independent and mature in the relationship. It was a great ending to the series although there is a slight teaser at the end of this book, which leads me to believe that there could possibly be another book or spinoff or novella of some sort. I sure hope so!

Final book for Forgotten Legacy! And it does not disappoint. L. Ann gets better with every book, and this is no exception. We're back to Gabe and Harper with this one, two years after... things.... happened. *Ahem* These are not standalones. You will miss things if you haven't read the others. Go read them, they're well worth it. As such, I won't say more about "things", just in case.
Anyway, they're back, and things are sooo much different for both of them now. I love the development that has happened for Harper in particular, and how Gabe finally lets some of his guard down, too. There is a lot of growth in both characters by the end. It's fantastic. The involvement of the other characters, the band in particular really made the story dynamic. We get a totally different look into Gabe's psyche through the eyes of his friends. You get the impression that even though we've been in his head, he was putting on a show for us readers, too. Ever the performer our Gabriel Mercer. The epilogues are awesome, they were sweet, and one in particular was incredibly funny in my opinion.
I'm sad that this series is over... although, I suspect we might still see them from time to time showing up for little cameos in other books... or I hope so really hard lol I AM looking forward to her future rock star romances, though. If she can do this kind of magic with Forgotten Legacy, what other authoring witchery is she capable of?

What a Ride!
This book kept me hooked from the beginning! While I am sad the series is ending, I was happy with this story. It was real. I love stories that I could see happening with people you can care about, scars and all. This story gave me that. Great job!

I thought long and hard about this and I cannot work out how to give a review for Broken Halo without spoilers for books 1-4. It is book 5 in the series and so much of what is going on is based on the content of previous books, so read ahead with caution if you have not reached the end of Exquisite Scars yet. Alternatively, just trust me that if you love rock romance your need these books on your tbr.

The final book in the Forgotten Legacy series is Broken Halo and if you have reached this point, you have had your heart ripped out, jumped on and healed multiple times and you are currently shattered and shellshocked by the events at the end of Exquisite Scars.
Broken Halo begins with a time jump from the previous book which I think is so important as it allowed the characters to grow in both positive and negative ways. This book was a difficult read at times as it dealt with heavy content as Harper and Gabe finally confronted their past, both their childhood and the time spent as a couple with its supercharged emotions and the various events that occurred. Their love was never a fairytale romance but raw and passionate and that resonates throughout this book. Tissues close at hand are a must as once again L. Ann has packed this book with all the feels and more.
First, I will say I like that L. Ann gave Harper the strength to walk away from Gabe and what was turning into a toxic relationship for them both. In so many books the flaws in a relationship are glossed over and it was great to see them acknowledged as well as the fact that Harper did not have to stay. Second, I absolutely loved the positive focus on mental health and that the characters sought help from mental health professionals throughout this series.
The Forgotten Legacy series is one of the best rock romance series I have read, filled to the brim with sexy broken rock god and women who bring them to their knees. What set this series apart is underneath the drama, angst and steamy scenes is that issues of importance were inextricably interwoven into these stories. These stories seep down into your heart and leave a mark on your soul.

You know, I was so mad at Gabe at the end of Book 4, I was afraid to read this one. My heart was broken even before I opened this book. But, I'm ok now. Phew! It was a rough, emotional ride, but I made it through in one piece.
Gabe and Harper had been through so much - through their childhood, finding their way back to one another, having it all go to pieces. Now, Gabe is back in her life again, but under the most tragic of circumstances.
You can just feel the love dripping off the pages, but at the same time, you wonder - is that enough to fix them? Is it time to let each other go and just move on?
Well, you'll have to read it to find out. Be prepared for tears - happy ones and sad ones. But, I made it through, and so will you!

Broken Halo is the final book in the Forgotten Legacy series and is the exciting conclusion to one of my all-time favorite series! These books all should be read in order as the story continues throughout and builds upon each other. That's not to say they are cliff hangers as each one is wrapped up nicely with their own HEA. However, with that said, Broken Halo does pick up with the story of Gabe and Harper when things start to fall apart in their relationship.
Initially in Tattooed Memories, I loved Harper and it really took some warming up to like Gabe. As the series continued however, I started to see Gabe in an entirely different, more vulnerable light and became so frustrated with Harper and her, I'm so sorry to say, "whininess". I fell in love again with the band and their significant others the way they rallied around and protected Gabe in Broken Halo. Oh where's the tissues?!? By the halfway mark of Broken Halo, I was starting to warm up to Harper again and by the end, I can honestly say I'm definitely Team Garper.
L. Ann is an amazing author and has done a superb job with this series. She has a way of shattering your heart, then slowly putting it back together. If you have not yet started this series, you are definitely missing out. Highly recommend!!

So as I sit here wondering what words I should use to put together a worthy review of this totally amazing book I’ve just read. I realised that I have all these feelings going on and I really haven’t got the words that will do it justice.
This whole series has been one hell of a ride and if you have been waiting for Broken Halo to drop then you better buckle up because that ride is fast and bumpy. If you haven’t read the first 4 books go do that right now and think about why it took you so long, because you’ve been missing out.
Seriously though the wrap up to this series that is Broken Halo is perfect in every way. You just know L.Ann is there stamping her very special brand of wtf 😳 at every turn of the page, but this is why we love the Forgotten Legacy boys so much.
