Honestly I mostly LOVED the beginning and how it felt, as our main character got older I found myself less invested on the story since it was diverging from what I originally loved so much about it. I kept reading because I still did enjoy the series and I found the love triangle entertaining, but I got really made at the end after a whole lot of the book centered around developing her relationships with both of the boys, and even made it a big focus up til the last chapter, only to leave us without a definite choice because they likely wanted to "leave it up to the reader" which, while that's understandable it still made it feel less sincere when the last chapter switched back to her father and hers relationship, but much more watered down. I also sadly didn't find myself connecting with how they closed it, while I liked the reference to the book in the beginning I can't act like I enjoyed how much it romanticized her and again watered down what was the most important parts of the story. I loved this a lot compared to a lot of other stories in this genre, I actually really like it. I just put it at a three because how it screwed me over in the ending (In my opinion) I still really enjoyed the story and suggest it to anyone who likes books like this. To me it puts a lovely shift onto this common format, and I find myself inching back to the beginning chapters for more, because I love her relationship with her father, and her in those first few years, so much.
