There is a darn good story here. Unfortunately the reader has to work hard to dig it out. It’s buried under a little more than 419K words delivered like a Shaksperian soliloquy. By comparison “War and Peace” is 587,287 words so get ready for a serious commitment if you start this. I almost didn’t finish it, but eventually got interested enough to hang in. This is the third book in the series, but likely not the last. If I was able to successfully pull the idea from the flowery prose, we basically just get to hit a reset button and start again. The genre is a mix of Sci-Fi and fantasy. Actually it’s more fantasy with “Scientific” justifications. There are so many characters it’s hard to keep them straight. I just focused on the main three or four. They were interesting enough to keep me following their journey. If you’re prepared to invest a substantial amount of time, this might be a rewarding read.
Fantasy, science fiction, drama, romance and more. Adron Smitley Powerless (Soothsayer Series Book 3) has it all! 'Powerless' is the perfect closure for the awesome Malach'Ra Trilogy (Veilfall, Jinn, and Powerless). I was not only amazed by the deep knowledge I got to build from each character, but also for the language and descriptions present in the novel. Each feeling and emotion are so fully described that I could felt what they feel. I was able to experience the events in first person. In addition to this, the descriptions are incredibly well written. As soon as I started reading this third book, I found the detailed explanations that Smitley has as a signature; first page, first lines were enough. It's been a long time since I last read a novel of this level. I recommend this story to whoever is in search of a high rank fiction novel. You won't regret it. It's the kind of book you have to read once in a while.
If you enjoy lengthy, world-immersing fantasy novels, look no further than the Soothsayer series. Number three, Powerless, is just as well-developed as the first two, with a strong bond between two lovers and adventures: Banzu Greenlief, the last Soothsayer and a master of swords, and Malora Callisticus, Spellbinder extraordinaire. As they continue their fight against the Ascendants, a dark and dangerous cult putting Greenlief’s life and loved ones in jeopardy, the plot escalates to new, world-ending levels. This is not a stand-alone, and continues from the first two. Therefore, while each book, including this one, are very long, reading the others is encouraged. And if you enjoy long journeys and universe development, you’ll have a good time along the way.
This book is the third installment in the Soothsayer Series and it is a piece full of adventure and mystery. I have not read the complete series yet, since I started it some days ago, but so far, every page is fantastically great. The author put together a smorgasbord of fantasy that had me on the edge of my seat from the beginning. I dare to say that this fast-paced novel glued me completely, but this was not the case of its cover which is, in my opinion, the worst part of the book and that is the only reason I will give it 4 stars. It is a real pity because I really loved the story and everything about it. The main characters are delightful, and I enjoyed them immensely. The world building is good, too and the writing was excellent as in the previous books so this was not a surprise. Without any doubt, I highly recommend “Powerless”.
I was excited to read the conclusive part of the Soothsayer series and it did reach my expectations. The author, Adron Smitley, has written a widely descriptive and intricate fantasy. The whole trilogy is commendable and did justice to its genre. Although it is lengthy and takes a lot of time to get completed, the satisfaction one gets at the end outshine everything. The whole plotline grips you till the end and you can’t help yourself from turning the pages.
All the characters of the book create an irresistible synergy that binds the reader till the end. I can’t think of any better ending to the series than this. The author has also succeeded in blending several genres together so this book is also a treat for sci-fi lovers.
Powerless is the third and last novel of a series called Soothsayer written by the writer Adron Smitley. A novel filled with fantastic creatures and amazing landscapes that puts the attention on love, because nothing lives more cherished than true love. This book is not only a common novel, but it has also very deep thoughts put in into it. I came across some wonderful and meaningful paragraphs that I was not expecting with this being an action/love story. The characters are very well described and to be honest, gave me a lot of ideas to create my very own characters, Smitley’s writing is filled with details that inspire! I thought this was a great ending for the trilogy. Every D&D lover will find this, and the other two books, very entertaining. I could not stop reading! Great book!
Suspenseful, captivating and action-packed are the main adjectives that describe this fantasy story written by the talented Adron Smithley. This is the third book and last of the thrilling Soothsayer series. Like Veilfall and Jinn, Powerless succeeds in keeping its readers on the edge of their seat. Worlds being destroyed, gods looking for revenge, an apocalypse approaching are some of the main events of this captivating fantasy story. If you haven’t read the other books, you won’t have any problems understanding it but the other books are as good as this one. I love how Smothles manages to create a vivid atmosphere thanks to details and his unique literary style. This is a great story worthy of reading.
The last book in a trilogy named Soothsayer, Powerless is a fantastic story loaded with superheroes accurately written by Adron Smitley. Through the saga, all characters, whether major or minor, have had a feature that made them distinct, each of them had a unique role and it has been really exciting to see them in action. However, in this conclusive tale, they all seem to let their engaging personalities out and bond together and develop a sort of alliance and coalition to deal with conflicts and adversities that prevail until the very last minute. That’s why I consider this to be the perfect ending of a perfect plotline. To conclude, I can say it is a well-balanced book and one to read when relaxed since it is lengthy, though never dull. Five out of five stars for me.
Adron Smitley is the author of this book titled “Powerless”. This is the third book of the series “Soothsayer”.
Although the story is quite long, I must tell future readers to not get disappointed by it. For sure. Smitley has a lot to say, and every thought he puts into words is worthy.
The fiction is priceless and exquisite. Naturally, I got lost in some parts of the book but I find it useful to jot down notes to prevent that from happening.
I forgot about other stories and readers for some days and I completely devoted my time and attention to this one, and it ended up quite well. For this reason, I give it four stars!
As the last book in the series, this story takes the previous books and cranks it up to a hundred. A wonderful story with a great attention to detail and the creation of this world, there is also an emphasis on Banzu's love for Melora and the lengths he was going to go to rebuild their relationship. As usual, though, the past comes knocking and throws things in disarray. The story, while not a mystery, takes a surprising turn. This reading was more realistic than I was expecting, which is why I was affected a bit emotionally. It was a great story, and I liked it more than I thought I would. I would definitely recommend it to anyone.
Powerless is the third book in the series. It develops the great ending of the trilogy and finishes with the fights the famous swordsman has to get into to save the frail relationship with the love of his life. The plot captivated me to the point I didn’t want to stop turning its pages and continue discovering exciting twists and turns. It is a very well written fiction work with action and adventure. After reading the two first instalments, I must say that this is the perfect ending of the story. It is an extensive book but I really didn’t notice it. It is a very original story and I will certainly recommend it.
Powerless, the third and final installment of the Soothsayer Series, is a story written by Adron J. Smitley. I found this book so interesting in a lot of ways especially because it's a strong fantasy genre. I believe, however, that there are things that didn't keep me connected especially the fact that the book tends to be heavily descriptive at some point.
The good thing that I found in this book is that the characters were pretty relatable and the setting of the story was well thought-out. This is the kind of book that if constructed and presented in the best way possible, could earn a ticket to Netflix series. I still admire how it turned out!
This is the third in a series and while you could read it without the previous book, I strongly suggest reading the previous two books. I felt I had a better grasp on the story after rereading the first two and refreshing my memory of the overarching plot that runs throughout this story. Banzu returns and will have to face his greatest fears and enemies. He will face loss and betrayal and will need courage to follow his destiny. A satisfying conclusion to this trilogy of good vs evil and the author does a great job in closing all plots.
