I don't like that Loki didn't realize right off the bat that the woman that came back from the 3rd trial wasn't Tessa. Tessa is his true mate and he's bonded to her, how did he not notice right away that it wasn't her??? Especially once he kissed her! I was disgusted with him. I mean he knew that an enemy shapeshifter was running around within his kingdom and he noticed changes as soon as he saw her, but he dismissed it. It made him seem like a total idiot to be honest. Fortunately, with the help of his wolf it's not long before he realizes the female is an imposter but I felt like it took too long and he was too oblivious.

Overall the story felt like it dragged on but it was good to get a conclusion to the story.

Disappointed ☹️

I was so looking forward to the final book of this series, but I actually wish I’d had to wait a little longer. It felt like the author was just rushing to get this final book finished. Glad for the happily ever after ending, but it was painful reading through the entire book to get there! Compared to the other 3 books, this felt rushed, poorly written, and plagued with unnecessary vulgarity.

I don't know how to review this book. Not because it wasn't good, it was great. I loved how Tessa was so strong to overcome the Ice God. However, that's not what made this book great, it was the last sentence of the series.

"My son chose to be born at this moment, in the chaos and harmony, while his parents danced and blossomed with ethereal love."

This sentence was so great to really represent what is happening in the world today. It gives hope and makes you seek the light in every dark places.

I will recommend this series just because of this last sentence.

i literally do not even know what i just read. seriously wtf was that, i truly thought this series could not get worse and i honestly just read the whole thing as entertainment because it was bad. i mean why were there so many plot twists, it was wayyyy to much and these books could have just been a two books or even one if you want to get rid of this book. like her child was just talking telepathically in the womb like a weird adult child!???

I thought this book would be the redemption of the series, unfortunately I was wrong.

Although I’m a mother the pregnancy trope annoys me half the time only works on rare occasions this was not one of those cases. The child being able to talk and swear at the mum was bizarre

Only continued this series as I couldn’t be bothered searching my kindle for something else tbh

The last book of this series felt super rushed, alot of questions at the end and super weird tropes happening through out this book that didn't mesh well with the rest of the series, wished it ended on a better note.

I had to wait for this one to finish the series and I am so happy to say I was not let down. Each book seemed to get better and this one was definitely the best. There was so much that needed to happen in this book to round the series out and wrap it up in a nice bow and Meg delivered.

It was honestly an ending I loved although I wouldn't have minded if she dragged it out a little more. :P
'Life with him would always be like this. He would create drama. He would bring chaos, but it wouldn’t be boring, and he would always love me with all he had. What else could I ask for?'

I was on the edge of my seat wondering how they were going to get back to each other and there were a few twists I didn't see coming. Great writing, great overall series.

For fans of paranormal romance, I can't recommend the Underworld Bride Trials enough. It does have some dark parts so be sure to check your triggers before diving in.

Tessa has been kidnapped and taken back to Ragnaro and her former home. The Ice Kingdom where her family was slaughtered and Ragnaro claimed her as his own. After escaping and being on the run battling for her life she never wanted to be back here. She is a queen in a gilded cage with a violent, evil psychopath as her keeper. She is lost even to herself with her memories slipping away a little every day and her magic bound by the collar he makes her wear. It won't be long before she is broken and Ragnaro will get exactly what he wants.

Loki is thrilled Tessa won the final trial but since she entered the hall of the Morningstar Palace he can't seem to feel any of what he has felt for her. His wolf has completely withdrawn and his desire for her seems to have dried up also. The one woman both he and his wolf have been single-mindedly focused on since they met her now stirs nothing in them. Loki actually feels awful for putting her through the trials just to no longer want her. He makes several attempts to feel something for her but nothing works. Attempting to put off the inevitable he plans a lavish celebration for his mate, he has seven days to figure out how to want Tessa again.

Tessa might not be able to get a grasp on all of her memories but she knows without a shadow that her mate is not the ice god and that he is her real enemy. She puts all her effort into figuring out how to survive and get her magic back. With some unexpected help, she starts to form a plan but Ragnaro isn't stupid and if he finds her trying to escape again he may just kill her instantly. She knows she has too much to lose to slip up now.

Loki is finally realizing what his wolf already knows. The Tessa in front of him is not his mate Tessa. Whoever this imposter is will pay dearly for trying to trick and betray him and if any harm has come to his missing mate they will regret ever attempting to get at Loki. With a plan in place Loki and his wolf trap the imposter and get their answers. Of course, his father is tied to it all. It's time to end his father and his allies then he's going to get his mate back and never let her out of his sight again. He is the rightful king of hell and he needs his queen by his side.

Happy Reading.

Patchwork

This book seemed to be a rushed patchwork of information. From beginning to end, things were just thrown in or added to continue the flow of the plot despite never being mentioned before. Things previously mentioned were changed to meet the new goal of where the story was going to go. It was a mess.

Many things didn’t add up now that the finally has closed. The main point of Tessa trying to get funding to buy a mercenary army to defeat the Ice God from the very beginning made no sense as the story continued and it was said how powerful Ragnaro really was. As powerful as she was, she couldn’t defeat him, and he also had an army that occupied her Ice Realm, so what were the mercenaries actually going to be able to do except die, freeze to death?

Anyway, the ending was rushed, the scenes were ridiculous, especially the battle scenes, and some of the humor and jokes were over kill. We never find out why the Weaver told Ragnaro Tessa was his mate or what she actually said that made him believe so, unless she was supposed to have more than one originally and he ruined it by coming and killing her entire family and taking her crown. I mean, that could definitely lead to rejection, lol.

So, kinda disappointed in this series overall and definitely in this final book. I wouldn’t recommend this series, but she has others that are better. See my notes, highlights and commentary on Goodreads. Happy reading.

highly entertaining and couldn’t put it down

This was one of those guilty pleasure reads. The kind that basically asks you to suspend all you know and remember of myth, lore and the knowledge you’ve gained from immersing yourself into this world that has spanned several books.
Did a lot of things seemed jumbled in there and added for no reason, yep. Did the author spend so much time on internal dialogue that they forgot that Beide Trials were going on and that it was widely televised and it seems no one had any thoughts or throw away comments like the last couple of trials? Yep. Or that Tessa had a whole team and magic cat that were worried about her too and probably would’ve suspected something much sooner than Loki caught on to and they were suspiciously absent until the very end (probably as an afterthought)… My list goes on and on and you know what? It didn’t matter because for the life of me I could not put this down and I eagerly gobbled up all the nonsense (here’s looking at you talking fetus) that the final book of this saga has to offer and I was entertained from start to finish!

Loved loved and loved this book. Infinite Hellfire and Flamy Stars

This book was so amazing. The battles were jaw dropping and heart & blood pumping. The reunion and Loki knowing about adorable Rider teared me up.

The sex scene was hilarious in this book. Tessa ... Damn you girl for being so amazing, brave, strong and protective, you really became my idol and one of my most favourite fmc. The same goes for Loki and his wolf. He was at the peak of his power in this book, his determination, cunningness , intelligence and sheer determination to bring back his true mate made him one of my most favourite MMC.

Rider won my heart with his protective, hyperactive, and adorable nature. Loved the little menace. Leave it to him to come out simply because he wanted to taste the cake😂. Snow White and Rider would really make a great menaceful and adorable pair.

This whole series was lovely, magnificent and amazing. Tbh no amount of adjectives could really describe the sheer beauty and awesomeness of this whole series.

Can Snow white please be my pet because that hell cat is 10 out of 10 amazing!
As per usual, our main girl kicked so much ass in this book, and, like I predicted in the previous books that she was going to be the one to save them all, even if she got knocked down in this book quite thoroughly. That God is so cringe almost as much as Hellen is. I guess he got it from his mother.
Loki is the most badass, golden retriever lover, boy in all of the book universe. He is just so swoon. He is so in love with her I would really die to have somebody that dedicated and soul bound to me in such a powerfully loving way.
Everything wrapped up so neatly and without spoiling anything the additional character that came in at the end was so precious. I love him so so much!
I think the series sort of moved away from being the bride trials, and more about God wars, which I was totally fine with, but I really did enjoy the bride trials and I also really enjoyed the God wars and this love story. I will remember these these books!

Last book, and it was filled with action, kidnapping, new life, revenge, and Ryder!

Although i found the series had hits and misses, I realised at the end I did enjoy it all.

It was fierce and sweet! Loki (the beast) and Tessa journey was tough but filled with some sweet and cute moments. Even the scolding for talking too much, but knowing she wouldn't have him any other way was sweet. There were annoying parts too, but that's part of the journey.

Ryder was a cute bonus, and his parting words were my favourite. I agree Ryder, cake is worth it!

The smex was okay. I just felt it could be hotter, but that could just be me. But when you have to go back because your mind wandered during the smutty passionate bit... something is missing.

I read this book as an audiobook. The narrators were okay, I preferred the female version of the MMCs, had more smirk, and growl to it. The male narrator was still good, I just imagined his voice deeper. In the end, I was used to it, and his range was good.

Had Potential But Didn't Deliver

Warning: This review may contain spoilers.

The plot for the third installment, again had potential, but didn't deliver. It teased at interesting moments, but again lacked any real depth, and considering that we've been leading up to the villian for 3 books, his interactions with Tessa and his defeat was anticlimactic. Like Playboy King

Such a good ending to Tessa and Loki’s story.

I’m going with 5 stars. These characters are a bit unique to me. Loki and his flamboyant personality is goofy, hilarious, a bit immature and out there. His banter with others makes you laugh at how ridiculous he is. Tessa’s character is pretty badA. She handles Loki’s personality well. She had to fight to survive again in this book but against the Ice God King. I loved the 2nd half of the book when things picked up a bit and started coming together. I loved how Rider’s character was written. My only complaint would be that Loki and Tessa didn’t reunite until 78% into the book. They rained down hell, literally, in the Ice Kingdom.

I’m giving this book a two simply for the end of story war scene and the last line of the book was beautiful

This book annoyed the ever living shit out of me. Loki went from being this crazy hot demon king in the first books of series to a pathetic little boy in my opinion. His wolf completely took over which is great but also like if your going to have them be two personalities in one body wouldn’t the wolf step in more often if that was his true mate missing and he knew it.

As a mom the baby fetus speaking in utero was weird and it got weirder when Loki could hear the baby too

The smut and even the clap backs of drama was bad.

But I didn’t want to dnf because it was the last of the series

The Finale of the Underworld Bride Trials is finally out and it didn't disappoint❤💋❤!

Tessa is dealing with her crazy ex keeping her prisoner and editing her memories & Loki realizes that the women who looks like his Bunny isn't Tessa at all and now has to figure out how to find out where his bunny is without letting the imposter know that he knows the truth!

Fights break out, Gods are punished, and a cute little surprised is revealed to Loki once he finally gets reunited with his bunny.

I highly recommend this series if you love paranormal stories and now this is a completed series!

I enjoyed this series. I’ve found I quite like this author. Her books & thus the series are on the shorter side, but I like that too for when I want something longer than a standalone & shorter than a nine book series.
I do think these books are for specific people though. The pacing is very fast. There is no real room for that deep kind of character development. Her plots are not overly complex & sometimes she does lose me. Like in the last book, the time line when they were apart was all sorts of confusing! The times kept changing.
All that to say, if you are looking for a quicker easy read that you will throughly enjoy & still has fantasy this is the author for you.

Tessa is once again under Ragnarö’s thumb. He keeps her locked up and has suppressed her ability to use magic. Loki discerns that the fake Tessa isn’t his real mate and enlists her involuntary assistance to locate Tessa. He also vanquishes Lucifer and the gods who were aiding him.

Meanwhile, back at the Ice Castle, Tessa realizes she is pregnant. Naturally the baby is able to communicate with her and has power enough to probably rival Marigold's.

Loki and his minions rescue Tessa after a fierce battle and Ragnarö is defeated. Their two kingdoms merge and there you have it.

The concept and plot line of the series overall was right up my alley and I was so excited to continue it after the first book but the writing style was pretty hard to overlook. The cringey dialogue and inner monologue was hard to get through. I felt like the third book in the series just dragged on and on, definitely could’ve been combined with this last book. I’m glad I forced myself to finish the series but the repetition ALMOST got my stop and just forget about it. Plot/storyline were def five stars, writing style dropped it down to a three star review.

It's always hard to find a fated mates book that's more than just insta love. Now that the MCs are separated, you realize their entire relationship was like 95% physical romance when every memory of each other was just of them having sex and I'm surprised Loki was even able to tell a difference in the fake Tessa. Baby at the end was weird. Lazy writing when recounting past events and it's just rereading copied word for word paragraphs. Still don't like how much Marigold and her mates are in the story and so many recounts of what happened in her series that I don't really care about.

Enjoyable read

Another enjoyable ending to a series. Tess is pregnant with a boy called Ryder and has been kidnapped by the evil Ice King. Meanwhile the Ice King's mother and Loki's aunt Helen has shapeshifted into a Tess lookalike in order to mate with Loki. Ryder keeps talking to his Mum as he is a descendent of many Gods and he lends his powers to her in order to break out of her Ice prison. All they need now is Loki'.

I'm not sure how I feel about this book, it felt rushed and unpolished, I got kind of bored on some scenes and had to skip them. Also, something I didn't like about all of the books is that there is a lot of sexism, you can say I'm exaggerating but is it necessary to have women tearing down other women about their looks? The main character is presented as a "strong independent woman" but she can be very childish and annoying.
I liked Loki but he seemed way too soft for being "the boss of hell"

Well this is the end for the Underworld Bride Trials. The journey was great and I'm sad it's over. Tessa & Loki were a perfect representation of Fire & Ice. I LOVED this couple. The witty banter, their trials, their overall characters....it was great. And we also got a little bit of Marigold & her Demigods. “You’ll see soon who’s hunting who, bald bitch.” - Axel
Yessss lmao
The fighting scenes were all epic. I'm looking forward to more of this world.

The 1st 2 bks were great. & even the 3rd, but it compleltey went downhill w/the cliffhanger stunt. As for the 4th, nope, absolutely hated it. Though, I do enjoy you as a new author. I am going to check out her other series...well, some of them. Won't be abel to do marigolds for a bit cause I'm not a fan of why choose normally & it would need to take a lot of patience for me to get through that one

This series was going pretty good. Not my favorite but steady. I was constantly confused but I think that’s because I didn’t read her other books. There were to many people to keep track of and I didn’t understand the different worlds. I was skimming hardcore until the magic baby became a thing and I just couldn’t read anymore. She has a couple week old fetus in her that she can magically communicate with and can comprehend adult topics but still talks like a child? No no no

This has been a ride!! The fighting, the love, and the friendships!? Yess, I'm so here for it! After everything she's been through, I was pretty excited to see her finally get her happy ending!
The last few chapters had me skimming though, I started to view the dukes and demigods and Loki as toddlers arguing over everything lol
But definitely a good read and happy I took the plunge and read these lovely books!

A little rushed

This is the last book in the series. I enjoyed how every thing you updates where it left off. I was worried that Loki was going to betray Tessa. I didn't enjoy where her unborn son was speaking. Or how the ice god was the enemy for 4 books and the whole battle at the end just didn't make sense to all the powers Combined out of nowhere and she was just able to overpower him. Loki and Tessa needing to get their unborn son to go to sleep for Alone time Was awkward
