I hated to admit it, but I'd given up hope on finding a solution to my little spell problem. Not that I'd say it out loud where Arthur might hear me, because if I did, he'd have another reason to grumble at me for another millenia.
Arthur wasn't the worst person to be trapped in Avalon with… No, that award would go to Morgana. It would be hell. Literally. We'd find creative ways to kill each other just to remember that we couldn't die, not while still in Avalon. I should clarify… We'd die, but Avalon heals all wounds which would basically be a loop of murder and death. Yeah, hell.
When I'd dragged Arthur through the portal, I hoped he'd heal and we could be on our way back to Camelot. But Morgana had other ideas. She'd tried to come through and magically shove Arthur back into a world of final death. He was mostly annoying, but I liked the guy, and he didn't deserve that because Morgana was a crazy witch. It's not my fault she convinced the dragon to lie to me about a prophecy involving her and I. If I could go back and kill that dragon for pulling Arthur into it, I would in a heartbeat. Fucker ruined his life. Though, it was my fault that I tried to kill her after I found out the truth.
Sure, I'd uttered words with double meanings when I'd thrown up a barrier to keep Morgana out of Avalon, but the last thing I needed was a woman to distract me. Fifteen hundred years… that was how long I'd accidentally trapped us in Avalon with no back portal out of this place. I couldn't survive on apples forever… oh wait, yes I could. I just didn't want to.
Then Morgana shoved Gwen into Avalon and into my life. Everything about Gwen drew me to her, especially her take-no-shit attitude. Arthur always said I fell in love too easily… But something about Gwen left me wondering if she fell into the true love category. I hadn't seen a new woman since I cast the barrier spell over a millenia ago… and she intrigued me.
Of course the insanity didn't stop there. How was I supposed to know Gwen would weaken the barrier? And the key she carried. Something about it looked… felt familiar. I needed a second look because it might be the thing I've been searching for.
Honestly, I think my spell may have sought out Gwen and given her the power she has now… but why? She'll hate me if she finds out everything that happened to her is my fault.
No. She can't find out the truth.
The spell I uttered in a moment when my life passed before my eyes called for unity. Deep down, I suspected it referred to Gwen, Arthur, and me… and that strange cat-man she kept as a pet. Which meant we had to all get along. Whenever Gwen was in the room with me, she was all I could think about.
Kissing her had been a mistake.
The strange sensation in my gut when I was around her was dangerous.
To save Avalon, I needed to get close enough to Gwen for the spell to work… without falling for her.
But first, I had to heal her. Then I'd seduce her. It was impossible to seduce someone I loved… right?
I scooped out the healing salve and drew the base spell on Gwen's stomach. The feel of her skin under my fingers sent a spark through me. Touching her like this was almost unbearable. Though I suspected Arthur had purposely taken Lance with him so I could have alone time with Gwen.
With the potions applied, I whispered the spell with far more emotional attachment than I had the first time. The pull of magic was much stronger than before. Proof that I was falling for her. My mind ran through the spell I'd cast seconds before Arthur and I would have died.
I was certain Gwen was the one power tied to the fate of Avalon. But if we were to achieve unity, she had to love me as much as I was starting to love her. With my mind made up, I stood and took Gwen's hand. I guided her over to my bed and pulled my shirt off. Seducing Gwen was just the beginning...

This is a fab continuation of the Dark Sins of Avalon and I'm loving this series! There's mystery, secrets and it's packed with steam for these fascinating characters. I love the twists the author has given them ;) There is more to come and I can't wait for the next book to hit my reader ;D
This is Book 2 of Claimed by Avalon. This is the second part of Gwen, Lance, Arthur, and Merlin story. Well that ends on a cluster of mixed up magic for sure I can not wait to find out what happens now. This book is all kinds of mixed emotions and secrets I can not wait to see what will happen next.

I was only familiar with MS. Indiana through her newsletters before I read book 1 in this series & read this one for purposes of review. In her newsletter she's hilarious, so I decided to review this even though "Reverse Harem" is totally not my thing. Probably a poor choice on my part, as it's unfair to the author.
The first thing I noticed was really positive comments about putty cats (from someone who "gets them"). How more cool can a book like this get than that! Well........... the putty cat turned out to be a cat shifter! I've never seen that before (but it works).
And that leads us to what didn't work for me. There is way too much sex in the books for sci-fi/fantasy. I am far from a prude, & will admit to enjoying porn. But not so much in this genre (fantasy). If 80% of the sex had been removed & those same pages had been used for character development, I'd be looking at least at 4 stars.
I also want to be clear that I am not the target audience for this series. I am a senior male, & this was obviously written for young Women with a strong sex drive (will this review post anywhere with all the filters review sites use.....?)
Set in mythical Avalon, there are 5 characters: King Arthur, Merlin, Morgana (the evil; NOT Marion Zimmer Bradley's empathic take on Morgana), the kitty shifter & modern woman Gwen (The cat's name is Lancelot).
There are 2 cliffhangers at the end of this, book 2; 1 having to do with the cat, & one having to do with Morgana & Avalon.
The "reverse harem" part is Gwen um....."sleeps" with Arthur, Merlin & wants to (but can not) sleep with the cat in Human form, though they do fool around a bit.
There is a potential quality story here, & with Ms Indiana's great sense of Humor, it could be quite good, if she'd just lighten up on the sex. If she were to write a straight porn book, I would also consider buying it, but this hybrid doesn't work for me.
ead the novella and was hooked from the first page with that book. This book was even better. We get to see more of the personalities of each of the characters. Gwen is strong. Confident except when it comes to her magic. With good reason too. This book has all three of the males but focuses more on Merlin. I love him. He tries very invented ways to get into Gwen's good side. Arthur is still his grumpy self. Although he is complexed. It will be fun reading about him more. Lance , her protector, is very dedicated. Caring and devoted . I love the complexity of the story. Intriguing and with mystery, but also a steamy romance. Loved the style of the writing. Each chapter gets it's own heading. Part of the chapter . It was a fun, page turning story I will definitely be reading again.

Oh I so loved reading this book. If I’m honest when the blurb said it was a retelling of Arthur I wasn’t too sure what it would actually be like but holy crap this series is so utterly brilliant. Gwen is one lucky woman! I really enjoyed the way this was written and you get sucked into this amazing world and feel like you’re there with the four of them. At the end of the book my heart was broken for poor Lance, so unfair. I wish the book was longer though. I was really enjoying it and then I go onto the next page on my kindle and it was the last ONE!!! Noooooooo! I was so engrossed in the book I didn’t realise I was near the end! 100% recommend this book and the whole series.

Poor Merlin the Wizard can't catch a break. The guilt he harbors for when he secured himself and Arthur into Avalon has taken a toll. Everything that has happened to Gwen at the hands of Morgana was his fault for implanting Gwen with the magick required to break free of Avalon. Gwen has powers that could get them out of Avalon, but she seems to make matters worse when she tries.
Merlin needs to converge her powers so they can depart Avalon and Morgana for good. The passion grows between Gwen and Merlin, Lance and Arthur. This story is far from finished and I look forward to reading about Lance's story.
I read this book out of order. As a result, I stumbled a bit at the beginning of the story. There was enough back references to cover major parts of the past, but some things didn’t make sense.
In spite of this, I quickly got into the story. The main characters are interesting and fairly well developed. The story focus is Gwen and Merlin. Lancelot gets some character development, but King Arthur remains more of a prop than a full fledged participant.
The world view is nicely developed. It may be the present day, but Avalon is still largely in the past.
Quirky and fun. I’ve gone back to read the first book. Lesson learned. Most series really need to be read in order.
This is book two of the series. I highly recommend starting with book one.
This is an urban fantasy story with a reverse harem and the legendary Avalon as the setting. The story is well written and fairly easy to read. I offer that caveat because there is a lot going on and it sometimes requires a bit of effort to keep track of what is what. The characters are well developed and certainly the stars of this show. And with a story full of action, intrigue magic and perhaps romance, it is quite a show. Overall, the story was very enjoyable and I look forward to seeing what happens next.
Highly recommended

A fast, fun, action packed, magic carpet ride of a story where Gwen, Merlin, Lance and Arthur once again find themselves in trouble and battling against Morgana. This time Gwen is still having trouble controlling her magic and although they escape Morgana temporarily, Merlin’s powers seem to be on the fritz and Lance is having his own crisis. Fun, steamy, and cute all at once. Can’t wait to get the next book.

The unexpected spin of the story of King Arthur continues. And despite Merlin being in the title, is not the only focus here. Gwen, Arthur, Merlin and Lance have a lot on their plates. This part of their story have a lot of turns, and I believe than more are in their future. Such wonderful and intriguing characters, and good story! And I want more of them and their quest!.

Gwen is sent to Avalon with Lance, a shifter. Gwen is forming bonds with the three men when Morgana attacks again. They escape to the modern world but what to do now? This tale is very intriguing and can't wait for the next installment.
Gwen is still trapped in Avalon with Merlin, Arthur and Lance, attempting to help defeat the curse keeping them there. Morgana, meanwhile, is trying to get into Avalon to kill them all. Merlin finds himself falling for Gwen, but he is convinced his secret will cost him her love if she discovers it. The developing relationships between Gwen and her men are well-written and the background history is interesting. I received an advance copy of this book and voluntarily left a review.
What a creative way to expand on tales of the Arthurian legends! The book was a quick read, but it was full of adventure, drama, and sexy times. Each character holds true to "historical tellings" in some respects, but modern in others. I love stories of King Arthur and his court, so this book was fun for me to read, and I'm looking forward to Lance's story.

It had been a while since I read book one, so it took me a little bit to remember where we left off. Characters came back to life and I enjoyed the add to their stories. I enjoyed the pieces of Arthur's story put together in a new way.
Steamy and entertaining. Ending surprised me and I cannot wait for next one.

A very sweet romance of an unintentional bond between 4 people because of magic. Gwen is the hero in the story and manages to safe Arthur and Merlin. Unfortunately her magical transition of them back to the real world from Avalon left poor Lance in his cat form. Will she be able to have the magic holding him captive as a cat reversed?.

Merlin's Secrets threaten his relationship with Gwen meanwhile her relationship with her other two men Arthur and Lancelot deepens. The love scenes are hot. The story ARC continues the story and pushes you forward. It's engaging and fun to read. There's both humor and dramatic tension. I highly recommend this book. Five star read.

Zoey Indian created an amazing world and story that is enthralling and addictive. She’s taken a well-known fairy tale and given it a modern edge with humor and excitement! Gifted in bringing her imaginary world and cast of characters to life. I devoured this book. I can’t wait to read the next books in the series!
I like the way the story is progressing but I was left confused a bit. There seemed like missing pieces between the end of the first book and the beginning of this one. Just things the characters said made me feel like we missed conversations. I'll keep reading since I want to know how it all ends. Plus this one was a little more steamy.
Gwen and Merlin are having issues, Lance is doing his best and Arthur is Arthur. Magic is going wonky, trust is being tested and Morgana appears! A deal is made and things go sideways and everything goes a bit off path! Looking forward to the next book! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Gwen is still trying to get through the portal. Being protected by her potential mates, Gwen practices her magical skills without blowing up. I wish the release dates were closer together. I had to go back and refresh the story.

This is a collection of stories about the Hero’s MC Fort Hood. It tells how they all get along in the club and the women that complete them. Each book is about a member and their journey to find the one for them! The storylines are great and the characters will pull you into their stories.

I am really enjoying this unique and creative take on characters from the Arthurian legends. Action, adventure, romance/seduction, secrets and mistakes, good and evil, and magic, all wrapped up in a sexy, steamy reverse harem package. I am really looking forward to the next book.

I'm a sucker for anything myth/legend & retellings have been a fun rh twist on classics. Arthur is... Frustrating me. I think he's supposed to be grumpy sunshine possibly but right now he's coming off as petulant. I really like Merlin & Lance & am ready for the next book!.

Second book of the series and you must read in order. We really get to know more about Merlin in this one. Who was this great wizard and what happened to him and Arthur? Gwen grows in her magic and also her relationship with the three men. Merlin definitely heats things up for her. Lots of magic and danger as the romance builds in each story.
Wow this book was amazingly written. Once I started I couldn’t put it down till I was finished. This book has twists and turns you don’t know what’s happening. will they all get there happily ever after or will it all go wrong. To find out what happens go buy the book. You won’t be disappointed I wasn’t.
Merlin was the cause of the curse that trapped them and Gwen was the answer. As she grows closer to the three men, things go wanky. This is a great series so far. Now that they are back to the present, I cannot wait to see what happens with them.

3.75 stars I enjoyed this a lot. It picks up right where book 1 leaves off and there's plenty of twists and turns to be had here. I can't wait to see how this turns out and I'm excited for book 3. I volunteered to read and review an early copy of this. All opinions are my own.
This is the second book in this series and is an unexpected spin of the story of King Arthur. It is entertaining and I can't wait for more. I received this book as a Free ARC copy to read and I voluntarily leave this review.
