When Colin is trapped in Underhill and stripped of his druid magic, he’ll race against time to survive a deadly, nefarious curse… before the goddess who cast it shows up to finish the job!

Colin McCool here, everyone’s favorite druid master and trouble magnet extraordinaire. Everyone except the gods that is, who seem to enjoy messing with me just a little too much.

Which is how I ended up in an alternate timeline, trying to save humanity from a vampire apocalypse. After getting my tail kicked by the top leech in Dallas, I decided it was time to level up before round two.

Sadly, a druid isn’t much without an Oak to power him up and a grove where he can study and rest. Sure, I have some magic, but it’s minuscule compared to the supernatural beings I’m up against.

That’s why I’m headed to Underhill, to bond with a druid oak in this timeline so I can win this war. To do that, I’ll need to recruit the help of the Dagda, leader of the Celtic pantheon and the deity who gifted humans with druidry in the first place.

To get to him, all I have to do is survive a goddess’ curse and traverse Underhill while the entire land is embroiled in a civil war.

Easy. Peasy. Bet I’ll be back before anyone even knows I’m gone...

M.D. Massey describes himself as the prototypical INTJ. His eclectic background provides him with a rich tapestry of experiences to draw on when crafting fiction, as evidenced by the believable worlds and relatable characters he creates.

As a former Army combat medic (91B), professional martial arts instructor (Krav Maga, JKD, FMA), and women's self-defense instructor, he possesses a unique understanding of close combat, firearms, and criminal violence that few authors can match. This knowledge provides an element of realism to the Druidverse™ novels, setting them apart from other fantasy series.

Mr. Massey lives in the Texas Hill Country with his family and a huge American bulldog that keeps him company while he writes. When he's not in his office or at the local coffee shop writing, you can find him in his garage pummeling inanimate objects or knife-fighting with his friends.

Starts out right where the previous book left off with Colin and Crowley gating to Fae. When they get there Colin is hit by a god level curse which reverts him to a teenager and he loses the knowledge of his training and powers that he learned after that point in his life.
The mission remains. Despite many gods and fae who would like to do him harm Colin still must join with the Druid Oak of this timeline.
Many battles, laughs and new friends and enemies abound.

This is just a fun and easy read/listen that picks up directly where we left off in book 1. This series is a spinoff of the original series where I think there were 10 or 11 books in that series. Then there was the Junkyard Druid series that had 5 or 6 books and now we are on the second book in this series. Why mention all that? Well, because it means that I've obviously enjoyed listening to Colin get himself in and out of all of the crazy, and I do mean CRAZY, circumstances that he just seems to find himself in. 19 books worth so far - give or take.....

This series is supposed to be focusing more on his Chronomancy and him trying to learn how to better handle the time powers. But it seems that he found himself in another timeline and these first two books are dealing with how in the world he is going to solve the issues (vampire overrun) in the current timeline.

I listened to most of this on audio and didn't have any issues with the narration. It is kind of interesting to see Colin dealing with the differences that he finds in this new timeline. Certain friends that have died are now alive, and relationships have gone in WAY different directions .....sometimes that's good and sometimes...not so much.

All in all it is an easy way to spend an afternoon.

Oh My Goddess! I could not have stopped reading if I had had to! This is a corker of a book, loved every page. Brilliant descriptions as always, word pictures that come to life in my brain.

Wonderfully paced, beautifully told story.

Picking up from where the last book left off, we are thrown directly in the action.

Colin, Crowley and Click (when he feels like it) are on a mission to enter Underhill and find The Dagda. As I am sure you can imagine, this is not going to be an easy feat. Along with several skirmishes and battles (beautifully described) my favourite part involves a dragon.

As always, Mr Massey weaves an enthralling story, one that immerses you completely
and, I for one, was with Colin every step of the way. Wonderfully descriptive word pictures
suck you in and make this so much more real than just written words.

This is book 2 of the Trickster Cycle Trilogy which has its roots in the Junkyard Druid series. You don't need to have read the previous series but it will help you enjoyment. Colin is trying to fix an alternate reality to his own and is after more power to overthrown the vampire tyranny that he has managed to avert in his own timeline.

Everything is as you'd expect from the author who has 10+ novels about this character. So if you've read about Colin McCool before you'll know what's in store. The story has two standout moments for me. One is early on and is quite hard hitting. The other is more humorous in a toe curling kind of way.

Click, Crowley and Colin are off to Underhill on another deadly mission. This trio is crazy, creepy and chilling. Some of those the encounter know he’s not their Colin and others just go with the dimension crossing. Jesse is defending the Dagda’s destroyed farm and even a dragon are their allies. Poor Colin in captured and tortured by a Water Goddess while Crowley is turned over to his adopted mothers tender care. Colin’s older brother Lugh helps with advice and a safe place to build his bond with the Druid Oak in this timeline. Great story the sees a few gory deaths and leaves poor Crowley’s fate in peril. I can’t wait for the next book!

Wow... Just wow...

M.D. Massey is one of my favorite authors. The Druid series is enticing, action packed, humorous and entertaining. The characters are relatable despite being super-human and still with their faults that make them easier to understand.

This book, Druid's Curse, really tied a lot of his previous works together. The details he remembers that were included in previous books are not neglected.

If you like heroic, supernatural action adventure series with characters that make you either love or hate them, then be sure to read this and the rest of his books.

Master Druid rides again

Colin and Crowley travel to Under-hill in search of the Dagda to help Colin find and bond with his Oak only to find Under-hill in the throes of battle between the Fae and the Vamps. Both Colin and Crowley are captured by the Huntsman and turned over to the Gods for torture and eternal punishment. Colin is cursed as he enters Underhill but he can’t figure who cursed him and wants him dead. It’s fast passed and action packed. A must read I couldn’t put the book down and read it in a day.

Colin's in for a hormonal assault by a Goddess an that's just to start....

When We pick up where we left Colin and Crowley they are about to enter into Underhill doing so though triggers a curse laid for Colin of a Temporal nature setting him back to his Teen self thus removing some of his Druidic knowledge. From there all Hellpocalypse breaks loose. Read on to find out what happens next.

In over his head?

Colin may have not off more than he can chew. While doing his best to save everyone, an enemy will be lying in wait to capture him. To top it all off he will have to travel to the one place he had decided to avoid, at least for a very long time. Unique, well written, and absolutely fantastic characters. I love them all. Exciting, and action packed magical adventure. I loved it, and can hardly wait for the next book.

This one was slow and sort of a filler book. Its probably essential to the time line and to the series but whenever he goes to under hill I almost instantly become uninterested. Looking forward to finally move on to the next book in the series. (This just wasn't a great book for me personally, but the series as a whole is fantastic! This book in no way will make me stop reading about colin. I'm so invested in this story I couldn't stop even if I wanted too.)

Excellent! Loved the humor in the beginning! Great story, Colin is really up to his eyeballs in trouble in this one. Wow, can't wait to see what happens to poor Crowley! And dragon! Cool! Poor Colin steps into Fae and things get really weird for him with his powers. He has to rely on his way and some help from unsuspected quarters. All-in-all, a great sequel!

I couldn't put it down!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book! I've followed all of M.D. Massey's series since I first discovered his books. His stories just continue getting more and more exciting. I started reading this book less than 48 hours ago, and couldn't put it down. This is my favorite book yet.

I adore Collin......

As a Trickster or just Mcool 💖

This book is a great slip and slide. All the moving parts trying to trap Collin and Crowley.

God's and Goddesses involved up to their necks in subterfuge.

Awesomely written and can't wait for book 3 and more Crowley??

Hey I'm greedy and I know it 😉😅😅

Thank you 🙏🏼 another great McCool book.

This has left me craving the next book though, MD Massey I humbly beg thee to write the next chapter in Colin’s life quickly 😂

In all seriousness though, I’m completely hooked on this series of books and would recommend them to anyone undecided. Dive into a world of druidry, sprinkled with sharp wit and a heavy drizzle of gory violence 😊

Series still has life

Maybe not as much life as earliest books in series but a good 70% of the best. Which is quite an accomplishment considering the accumulated lore being toted along, territory already explored and how that sets boundaries on new storytelling. Moreover congrats to the author on not getting bored or stymied or exhausted with expanding on the series,

Great Book

Always, great. From the start a non-stop adventure. Action packed. Colin gets in to trouble (never saw that coming) and tries to work out how to get out of trouble. Crowley helps him, but can save him from his newest enemy. An unexpected ali helps Colin out and he makes a cool new friend. Enjoy.

A great tale!

Reading about our hero has to survive against increasingly stacked odds is always entertaining. Colin finds himself even more nerfed than usual. And this tale sets up a much more powerful foe waiting in the wings! As I always I enjoyed Colin’s crude wit and ingenuity.

The druid has a new series, but he's still " a wrecking ball of fate" lol

the second installment of the Trickster Chronicles is full of battles, betrayals, and friendships. Just what you've come to expect from Colin and company

Love this series!

These characters are so much like friends, that I find myself very worried for them between books. I would love to say to the author, "Write faster!!!" However, I cannot rush his work, as it always entertains. Like a dragon, I must be patient.

Druid’s life is never dull…

Colin is again up to his neck in trouble. You really need to know the back story to follow along. Knowing the background just beefs up the characters and the story. I liked it.

A whole lot happens in these books. So much that you just can't keep up. Now that time jumping and alternate time lines have been added it's even more of a mess to keep straight. I just hope by the book 3 drops I haven't forgotten all or most of the ins and out of books 1 & 2.

Excellent entry in the Colin McCool series. Massey still keeps on entertaining. I keep on thinking this series can't keep on going on, but he keeps on writing books that are entertaining and grab you.

I love this series. I've been listening to them on Audible, and I'm enjoying them enough that I have actually purchased the books as well. They are well worth a read, or a listen. Definitely start at the beginning of the series, as you can see the growth of the characters.

never fails to deliver

Some times want to shake Colin and say wake up and smell the roses, other times I want to give him a hug and say it’s ok. All of the Druid books have lead me on a roller coaster of emotions, that is what make a good read, when you feel the book as well.
