Descendant #4

Descendant of Glory

Rate this book
Chaos. Magic. Love. Three elements to my life that have brought me to this point - traveling to the God realm. I know we can handle whatever the fates decide to toss our way. Yet between visiting Queen Titania’s court and learning far more about my demi-gods’ past than I could have expected... I just hope we can retain some semblance of sanity by the end of this. And what happens when I finally meet the man, the myth, the... well, god, obviously - Set. My father. What has Isis been hiding from me? Secrets are unraveling nearly as fast as things are heating up between my men and me. Let’s just hope that we make it out of the God realm alive because, by the end of this, I know several people who will want me dead. This PNR slow/medium burn RH contains several dark themes that readers should be aware mild dub-con themes in a completely consensual sex scene, swearing (I know, surprising, right?), violence, PTSD, and sexual themes suitable for +18. Additionally, this book does have mature m/m themes that develop over time.

Loved the continuation of this series. It's great seeing the cameos from other characters.
Nova finally visited the God realm. I found it very interesting how each culture was split into sectors.
The mages and demigods were hilarious as always. Rowan, Everette and Fox will always have a special place with me. Volkan was an intriguing addition. It will be great to learn more about him.
I did not see that final plot twist coming towards the end. I felt bad for Nova being pulled into the drama of the Gods
I can't wait to see what happens next with Nova and her men.

Son of a...

I honestly thought Descendant of Glory was going to be the last book but no - it isn't. I feel all kinds of betrayed right now and I'm not sure how to cope with things at the moment. Ugh. So freaking pissed that I have to wait for the next book to be published just so I can dive into it. I hate leaving series unfinished dammit!

It also pisses me off that the 5th book comes out next year. Double ugh.

Other than that, this book had some interesting twists and turns but I'm just so mad that I have to wait for another freaking book. I hate cliffhangers. I hate when GR lies to me about a series being done. I'm not even made with all the drama that unfolded in this book because it was bound to happen. Especially with how boring the previous two books were.

I don't even want to think about waiting for the next book so I will just sit and be made at myself.

Ok, I tried, I really did but I don't want to continue reading garbage! These characters are just ridiculous! They treat her like crap and then she claps and begs for more....I don't think so! I get that the author is going for over the top but this has gotten worse as the books go on and it's not so awesome that I want to continue....so I'm leaving this and won't be returning for any others. Only read this if you like no or barely any redeeming qualities in heros and heroines that are aiming for a naughty slut effect but go straight to nympho porn star wantabe!

The plot is really good, I liked the first two books, but I am so tired of reading RH that equates men inflicting harm on women with loving them.

Holy Moly

When Nova released her magic, I did not see the aftermath coming. She has gained one more guy and doesn’t even know it yet lol

So dar the series is good. My frustrations are there are too many guys/mates (8) and possibly another one to be added. The problem is some get more “book” time than others. The relationships are taking forever to evolve. The FMC has more relationship growth with some over others both emotionally and physically. Poor Nour, I feel like the poor guy gets put on the back burner repeatedly. He knew her first and they declared their love for each other but she hardly spends any time with him.

"Descendant of Glory" offers a riveting continuation of a fantasy saga that masterfully intertwines elements of power, heritage, and romance in an otherworldly setting. This entry in the series takes readers on a journey to the enigmatic God realm, where the protagonist, Nova, confronts not only the intrigues of Queen Titania’s court but also the truths of her companions' complex pasts.

As Nova traverses the perilous and majestic landscapes of the divine, the narrative skillfully balances character development with world-building. The revelation of meeting her father, the god Set, and uncovering hidden secrets from Isis add layers of depth to the story, pushing the boundaries of Nova's world and challenging her previously held beliefs.

The dynamics between Nova and her group of demi-gods and mages intensify, exploring themes of trust, betrayal, and the complexities of love in a world where alliances are as shifting as the sands. The author adeptly handles the portrayal of these relationships, ensuring that the sexual and emotional connections remain integral to the plot and character growth, rather than mere additions.

Despite the promise of romance and alliance, the book does not shy away from the darker elements that have been a staple of the series. It bravely tackles issues like violence, PTSD, and consent within its mature and occasionally controversial themes, which are thoughtfully integrated into the fabric of the story.

"Descendant of Glory" is not just a tale of navigating through mythical realms but also an exploration of personal identity and evolution in the face of destiny and familial legacies. With its slow to medium burn pacing, the book ensures readers are fully immersed in each revelation and emotional turn.

For fans of paranormal romance with a taste for complex characters and rich, dark themes, this book promises to be an engaging installment. However, it's advisable for new readers to start at the beginning of the series to fully appreciate the depth and nuances of the storyline.

Overall, the novel is a compelling blend of adventure, romance, and intrigue, guaranteed to leave readers eager for more from this thrilling and spellbinding series.

We start off this book with Nova and the guys in Cairo to be near the portal to the God realm. However after the drain on her powers from Mr Black in the previous book, Nova ends up sleeping for days and the boys become so worried that Fox and Cass decide to bind themselves to her in order to help her power drain. From there the emotions and tiggers of everyone’s past seem to take forefront, where we realise that Nova is now the heart and soul of their little family and is the one keeping everyone together. When they finally make it to the God realm, there is once again heartbreak and betrayal for Nova. Poor thing just can’t get a break! I loved this book. I was so happy to finally read about all the relationships going deeper and not just surface level. Nova seems to be able to help each one of the guys in only her way. I was also excited to learn of a new friend / love interest for Nova? Excited to see what that turns out to be in the next book!

First, I want to saw I love this book although I was kinda disappointed with how little action?, I guess is the word im looking for, took place In the book. I felt like the first 20% of the book just seem to be a really long read for my which is really unusual with any book by M. Sinclair. The book it self took me about 12 hours to read off and on when I would normally be able to read it in 3.

Second, I loved this book and I love that their was so many surprises about the new character that got introduced, though I wish we could have seen more of them. Definitely loving the new character that is attached to Nova now and interested in seeing how he will play out.

Overall it wasn't my favourite book by M. Sinclair, it was sorta up and down, portion of it I loved while others made me lose interest really fast. This book seem to be all over for me and I think I just had a hard time keeping track with what was happening.

This book was AMAZING!! I could not put it down to save my life. Even had to read it at the beach and floating in the pool. Nova has to be my favorite FMC that M. Sinclair has written so far. She is so funny, wholesome, and well a little psycho. Which I think psycho is the best part. Of course, all the men are monsters as well which just makes you love them even more. I love that the story is based around Gods, especially Egyptian Gods which we don’t see much of. This story was put together so well and kept me entertained. I never knew what to expect to happen next. Several times I had to put the book down and have a what the fudge monkeys moment before needing to know exactly what would happen next. I would highly recommend this book and I can’t wait for the next one in the series. If you haven’t started the series or the book, well what are you waiting for?!

This book took over my life. I couldn’t put it down with how perfect it was. We got to see way more of the guys perspectives, I felt like, in this book. To see how much love the guys have for Nova is heartwarming. I feel most books you see how in love the heroine is, so to see the depth of feelings the guys have hits me in the feels. Even with all the feels, Nova and the guys have a few storms to weather in this book. And they handle it with a good amount of violence and death. Nova settles in her skin this book also. Not afraid to speak her mind, even if it pisses off her father. In true M. Sinclair fashion this book has everything you could want and more. With a whole bunch of sexy time. This book made me a meme of reading ‘no-no cha-cha scenes’ in public. So the steam level in this is through the roof. Buy this book for plot, characters, or steam, it’s a 5 star all around anyway.

Perfection

This may be the fourth book in the Descendent of Chaos series, but it has so much life left in the story and is far from over. Finally, Nova and her men make it to the god realm to further unravel the truth behind her gifts, lineage, and a whole lot of other mess that comes with being Chaos Incarnate. This book not only continued to build the individual relationships in the group and provide plenty of sweet and spicy moments, but also advanced the story into territory I definitely didn’t see coming. I can see now how all of the battles and forces in the universe are going to end up coming together to tackle a common goal/enemy and save magic. It’s going to be amazing. This book was amazing and grew my love for these characters even more. I think the writing just continues to improve and I can’t wait for the next book!

Woww...another amazing addiction in the descendants series...
My favorite part about these books are the world building and how every little part throughout the story comes together in the end and become a whole new big picture.

The mages....demigods...the whole new creatures were so entertaining to read...and there were some hilarious moments too which had me cracking up and lifting the dark cloud from the tense storyline.

It's a series which I hope will never end because the drama is nonstop. Magic and love has created such a powerful world..I can't wait to go back to this universe again.

Such a fantastic story! The world building, unique magic and just all around awesomeness that M Sinclair has created is absolutely brilliant. Nova’s story continues to develop, for better or for worse, and the tale weaved is utterly incredible.

Nova is one tough-as-nails woman! She is truly an epic FMC! Entering the God Realm with her was so fascinating. To see and experience what she did along with her mates was one heck of a rollercoaster.

I just can’t get over the stunning imagery, world building and character building M Sinclair has done. She paints a picture so clearly it’s as if your living in the story right along with the characters. The imagination and innovation is truly outstanding.

I’m so excited to see where Nova’s story goes next!

So let me just say wow! Nova just seems to get funnier with each book and I can’t wait for the next instalment. The relationship with each of her guys continues to develop and grow alongside the discoveries she makes about her past throughout the story. I was hooked from the beginning and didn’t want to put it down. Let’s also just take a minute to appreciate the new character addition! Definitely looking forward to seeing where that goes after the cliff hanger ending!
I’m really looking forward to finding out what’s going to happen to Nova and her guys and I’m definitely hoping the girl’s night that was mentioned gets to happen. Maybe it could be a holiday short story?
If you haven’t ready the previous books, go and do so now! You definitely want to give Nova’s story a go!!

This book is packed full of action, steam and ANSWERS!! We finally get to the God Realm with Nova and her men and we get so many answers that we have been waiting for. I love Nova and her men to pieces and I’m really happy about the (maybe?) addition of a new member to the team. In this book we see a lot of continuing to solidify bonds between Nova and her guys, in between almost constant threat and exhaustion. They are super busy and I’m hoping that they’ll get a teeny break in the next book before the next part of Nova’s path begins. Nova has more on her plate then we ever anticipated and I know she’s gonna handle it like a boss! I loved this book and I can’t wait for more!

Perfection.

This book is so full that it feels like it never ends, in the best way possible. I love the mystery and twists, I didn’t see the big reveal coming. I like seeing a lot more relationship growth. Nova really pushes the guys into being themselves fully. The good and the bad. Ramsey is such a great character and I love reading about him. I love all the different god and goddesses that were in this book, not just Egyptian mythology. I love how they are all connected and how the god realm works. Not sure how I feel about Volkan and his role in everything but can’t wait to read more about him.

Wow! So much action in one book! Nova and her men keep getting better and better. No matter how long M Sinclair makes these books, I will never get enough of them all.

When they set out with the purpose of meeting her father, they find way more than they bargained for. More information about her past and her future then they were ever expecting. Throughout it all, the connection with Nova and all her men gets stronger and stronger. Their bonds becoming unbreakable. The chemistry between all of them is off the charts and the sexy scenes are fire.

What a great read! As usual, can’t wait for the next one to see what Sinclair has in store for them! ❤️

Nova is back! This is the 4th book in the series and starts off right where book 3 ended. Nova and her men are off to the God realm. No worries right, what could go wrong?! Nothing says drama like family and make, that family actual Gods and things can get tricky. Her guys are still the same crazy and caring guys as before and the heat level is high. I won't sugar coat it, they go though some stuff in this book but they always have each other's back and maybe pick up someone or someone's new.
I love all of M. Sinclairs books! She writes such amazing stories that suck you in and you just hang on for the ride and this is no exception.

Nova and her men are back and oh man is this crazy and intense. They end up in the god realm and she find out some information about herself. Let me just say, I am surprised that she does not break after finding out her heritage. It is a lot to process. Let's also not forget she is still trying to navigate her relationships and maybe adding one more. That is still up in the air. So now we find out about her she needs to go some where that she cannot be found. Where will that be. I love how M. Sinclair keeps me on edge and in the book. She never fails to amaze me when I read her books. No needless to say, I am left wondering what will happen next with how this book ended. I can't wait.

I have to say that this is my favorite book in the series so far. We get to see the wear and tear of the mission on the team as a whole, but also on Nova. Yes, she’s very powerful, but being able to “see” her struggle with all of her emotions was what makes her (and her team) all the more realistic.
This book has a lot of suspense, and it’s a page turner. I loved the little Easter eggs that I was able to pick up on for the other books within this universe, and I REALLY can’t wait for this big ass battle that’s going to happen with the cosmos.
M Sinclair, you’ve hit it out of the park with this one 💕

The story advances in this fourth book and is packed with a ton of action! Nova finds out her true heritage after finally meeting her biological father. The problems she faced with the man who pretended to be her father on Earth now seem like child's play after learning the full scope of her destiny. I love the addition of Volkan and am finally feeling the connection with the other eight guys. There is a lot of relationship strengthening in this installment, and I am here for the Rowan and August dynamic. Tons of spice too, and I think this might be one of M Sinclair's best series for the heat element. I love it! 🥵

What a truly amazing fantastic book. Nova and her guys are just too awesome. I love the dynamic of the group and their development throughout the book. The journey that they all have to take is staggering and full of action. This book made me fall in love with Ramsey and row-baby. Can I also say wow August was not expecting him to turn out the way he did.
This book was absolutely a page turner and I just could not stop reading. I really want to know what happens next as this is definitely a series that should have hundreds of books.
Well done M.sinclair you truly are a magnificent author

Yep!

This book is everything! I love the descendant series so much and each book gets better and better!
The series is going from 9 books to 6 with the last 3 books being a 2 in 1 kind of set up as the story progresses!
So just like Nova the books can't be contained!
In this book we meet a new addition, Volkan, who I'd love to learn more about!
Some questions get answered in this book, with Loads of sexy times, a surprise cameo and favourite series mentions from the shared universe. Such an excellent story...can't wait to see how this plays out further.

Holy GOD!!!

Spoiler Alert!

I knew it! I knew Nova was not a Demi-God but was actually a GOD!! Now do the guys share her powers since they are connected now and her powers have been fully released?? Also who is Volkan exactly? I’m curious to learn more about him in the next book and see him and Nova’s relationship grow. Cannot wait for the next book! Love this series and completely recommend it! Honestly all of this authors books so far have been absolutely amazing and I cannot put them down!

WOW!!!!!!

This series is really so intriguing and has you on the edge of your seat. It is packed full of drama, suspense, a bit of mystery and some hot sexy scenes. I love Nova and her spunky, feisty attitude. She is hilarious at times that really has me laughing. The guys are a mixed bad of goodness that makes your hear hurt for what they have endured. The story is extremely well written and developed. I am super excited to see what is going to happen next. This is absolutely a must read.

Ahhh, I love Nova! Out of all M. Sinclair’s characters, Nova and her men are my favorite. This book picks up where the last one left off, and is even more chaotic and action packed (also full of steam). Nova is finally letting all her men in on how she really feels and the relationships are EXPLODING with dynamics. The plot twist, has me vying for the next book, because I can’t wait to see how Nova reacts to the new challenges she must face.

An epic continuation to Novas story!

I love the relationship building in this book, Nova finally has some clarity when it comes to Ram and it’s hot! There’s a new hot addition to her team of men and he fits right in!
She’s finally in the Gods realm, and its chaotic from her very first steps in! Nova is determined to do it her way, no matter the pressure she gets.

If you’re looking for a book with one powerful heroine, sexy possessive men and unique story, this is the book series for you!

I enjoyed this book and had a hard time putting it down when I needed to go do something else. This book moves along at a nice easy pace making for an easy read. The characters are great and you will find yourself loving each of them no matter what happens. The story will grab you keeping you reading until the very end and then you are needing more. This book is a must read and needs to be on your TBR list, there is no doubt about it.
