So I just finished reading my own book in its physical copy for the first time. Obviously, this review is going to be biased but lemme say that I think it's a hella dope read.

If you're looking for a great LGBT+ novel, this is the book for you!

You can pre-order this bad boy now, links on my page and website. Personally, I think the hardcover is the prettiest version.

Also, Minami is a cinnamon roll that needs to be protected.

Anywho, the quality of this book is impressive. The printer did a great job and you know what? So did I. This is obviously a book I highly recommend. Tell your friends!

Love comes in all shapes and sizes, but many young people are often made to feel broken by society for being different. What I loved about SOUTH was that it follows the story of two girls who navigate their love lives and this feeling of being broken. This is a book that should be read by everyone and anyone because it is a modern-day love story with relatable characters. It made me laugh, cry and fall in love. There's magic sprinkled in these pages and I cannot wait to see what A. M. Molloy does next!

South is a coming of age story as multiple individuals in an art college in Toronto meet and become friends. The characters felt natural, each with their own quirks, strengths, and weaknesses. The plot and dialogue flowed well and included some genuinely heart-breaking moments.

The story takes place over a two year college experience with each chapter being roughly a month. This give room for the characters to grow for both the better and worse from beginning to end.

Also, A.M. Molloy has written some well great songs within the story. These did not have to be explicitly written out, but they added to the story, its characters, and the lived in world created.

There are some strong trigger warnings. One of the main point of view characters suffers from PTSD and has vivid hallucinations throughout the story.

South includes several romantic scenes, though these never felt overly indulgent or included as spectacles. This was an incredible LGBTQ+ story which showcased how characters can struggle in their moments of weakness and rise to the challenges in their lives, even when a building falls on them.
