True Crime Case Histories Volumes 4-6: 36 Disturbing True Crime Stories

Rate this book
36 True Crime Stories of Murder & Mayhem
Three Book Collection: Volumes 4, 5, and 6 of the True Crime Case Histories Series (2021)

A quick word of warning. The true crime short stories within this three book collection are unimaginably gruesome.

I start all of my True Crime books with a quick word of warning. Most news articles and television true crime shows skim over the vile details of truly horrible crimes. In my books I don’t gloss over the facts, regardless of how disgusting they may be. I try to give my readers a clear and accurate description on just how demented the killers really were. I do my best not to leave anything out. The stories included in these books are not for the squeamish.

What you are about to read are Volumes 4, 5, and 6 of the True Crimes Case Histories Series. The stories in this collection will make you realize just how fragile the human mind can be.

Jason Neal is a Best-Selling American True Crime Author living in Hawaii with his wife, who is also an author writing Women's Fiction as G.T. London. Jason started his writing career in 1989 as a music industry publisher and wrote his first true crime collection in 2019.

As a boy growing up in the 80s just south of Seattle, Jason became fascinated with true crime stories after hearing the news of the Green River Killer so close to his home. Over the coming years, he would read everything he could get his hands on about true crime and serial killers.

As he approached 50, Jason began to assemble stories of the crimes that have fascinated him most throughout his life. He’s especially fascinated by cases solved by sheer luck, amazing police work, and groundbreaking technology like early DNA cases and, more recently, reverse genealogy.

True Crim

It never ceases to repulse me that humans can be so deprived and cruel. These type of stories remind us that at any age we need to be aware of people we don't know and watch out kids closely. I always wonder what makes these people tick and how one's mind can work that way. This is a very detailed book so if you can't handle Gridley details this book won't be for you.

Amazing

I enjoy reading about serial killers and why they did it. It makes me sad to know that innocent lives are taken. But justice is served when the killers are caught and put behind bars. There's one story in here that I know about. And it makes me sad to know that she won't see her sister grow up.

Macabre but true

Another set of interesting stories of seriously vile individuals and their heinous crimes. It never ceases to amaze me how far into the depths of darkness some people will go. I’m not sure why I continue reading these books, but the stories fascinate me. Some are so horrific that it makes watching gory horror movies seem like child’s play. I think on some level I owe the victims’ families the remembrance of those decent people who were taken too soon. The killers deserve to be forgotten however.

I enjoy the format this author uses to relay the stories. They are detailed enough to give a good picture of both victim and criminal, but they aren’t so deep into detail that they drag out needlessly. I can read a few cases and take a break, sometimes for a few days after the most gruesome ones. I’ve tried reading a few different books like these, but Jason Neal’s are my favorites. Not much sensationalism. He sticks to the facts of each case. If you like reading true crime books, I highly recommend these. Just don’t expect any watered down stories. He tells it like it happened but clinical enough I find it bearable to read. Solid 4 stars. I just can’t give out a 5 on a subject like this.

This is a box set of 3 books containing 36 true crime stories.

As with the first Box Set of True crimes (1-3), The book is easy to read; however, the style is inconsistent with the various stories. Some have great detail and describes the events - pre and post; however, there are some stories that are vague and can be somewhat misunderstood.

Removed are the appendices - which is good. There are links noted in the books for web page that may have more detail with photos.

It may be due to the format of describing these stories in 5- 10 pgs that some stories do not have the full detail as others. Or it could be that the information was not available at the time of publishing. However, it isn't consistent as there are some great stories to be told if more pgs were provided. Yet, some stories have great detail and doesn't add to the overall story at all.

I struggled with this one as was expecting more.

A great series to start for someone who is interested in this genre. Read it - and look for more books, podcasts or vids regarding them.
That is what I have done - and have found more detail and description in those vids, podcasts and other books.

The Depravity of Man

True Crime stories show what we are capable of except for the grace of the TRUE and LIVING GOD! When Adam sinned, he passed down to all of us the sin nature. You don’t have to go far into the Holy Scriptures before you find Cain killing his brother Abel. By chapter six of Genesis you see mankind at its worst. So bad that our CREATOR wishes he had not created mankind. You wonder why bad things happen? It’s because we are fallen without JESUS CHRIST WHO came to save us from our sins (Matthew 1:21).

People are awful

Reading this really makes you realize how awful people truly are. So many of the stories are just heartbreaking. It makes you wonder how the killers can live with themselves.

Another great volume from Jason Neal. Not for the faint hearted. It’s grissly and detailed and it will make you feel sick at the horrible acts committed. R.I.P to all the victims of these heinous crimes.

Many more crazy stories in here! Some of these cases were already known to me, but not all, and there were details new to me in every chapter. Well-written and moved right along. Well worth your time.
