Be sure to follow me on Goodreads to get every update! I live in sunny California with my handsome husband and my slobbery English Mastiff, Rupert. I've always loved stories and wanted to write novels. When I'm not getting words on the page, I'm walking my dog or cooking something (hopefully) delicious. Feel free to ask me a question or connect with me here, but you can also find me on Instagram or my website, JillMBeene.com. I so appreciate my readers! Thank you!
Honestly, I wish this series could go on forever. Or at least a few more books. I have loved Elayna, Hyde and the crew immensely. I love that despite the dark nature of their work, they are just normal people with normal problems. I love that at the end of the day, they all just want to be loved. And most of all, I love that they take out the piece of shit scum of the earth so it's a better place for everyone. 1000% here for the vigilante justice.
Quotes I didn't get dewy and glisten when I sweated--I dripped, my face turned red, and people shot me concerned looks and asked if I was ok. [gah! Same girl.]
I internally rolled my eyes. Women like this were exhausting to be around. This wasn't someone confident in who she was--this was someone cultivating men's reactions to boost her small reserves of self-confidence. This was learned behavior, though.
Kindness was so under-rated. Our world needed more kindness. [A-fucking-men.]
But if I have learned anything in my life, it is that we often don't get to choose where life takes us--we only get to choose how we react.
I read all 3 books in this trilogy and enjoyed them! They were funny, exciting, and I truly grew to love the characters. The books were divided well- each with their own beginning and ending- but with an over-arching plot that spanned all 3.
I began these books looking for another good independent author and now I’m excited to read more books by Jill Beene.
As an adult, I was comfortable with the language and violence but it isn’t something I would let my early teen-age kids read. I was grateful for the “behind-closed-doors” treatment of the romantic aspects.
I continue to enjoy the humor, close relationships of the characters, and the well paced thrills. I will read Hyde's story next with a bit of sadness as it appears to be the last part of the series for now. Please share more of the " GIRL" SERIES, Ms. Breene.
Legacy os the right words for this wonderful book. I loved seeing how it all played out. Such a great world bulling suspense building and character building. Enjoyed the books so much!
This series just keeps getting better with each new book. The characters are all continuing to grow and develop. It was an interesting change of venue, taking the crew to Brazil. A warning to some...parts are pretty violent.
I never thought anyone could write about dog poo in a way that would have me laughing until I cried. But Jill has achieved this seemingly impossible task in Legacy Girl. Seriously, I absolutely loved this book. Great twists and turns, surprises, highs and lows. Another home run! Highly recommend!
