This was a quick read.  There was lots of steam from the moment they met.  Brody, MMC, wasn't just the gorgeous, sweet country boy she thought he was.  He was also passionate which made him a little moody.  So I nicknamed him Broody.  I can't say that Kade, FMC, wasn't just as passionate.  That leads to emotions going a little wild and causing issues for everyone involved.   Luckily, this is a HEA, which means I'm going to drive into book 2 very soon.  I loved Kade's best friend and cannot wait to learn more about her.

I love me a small town / second chance romance story and Canadian Summer by Kimberly Ann definitely ticked all my boxes.
From the moment Brody and Kade met in this story you knew they were meant for each other. They were the perfect blend of sweet and spicy.
Unfortunately a misunderstanding tears them apart and ending their relationship before it really got to begin.
Five years later the hurt and anger is still there but can they let it go for a second chance at love?
I enjoyed and devoured Brody and Kade's HEA journey. I loved the moments of humour, I felt the emotional moments, I swooned over the sweet moments and I felt utterly frustrated over the misunderstood moments. Communication people!!!!!

Overall, I loved this read and I'm loving this small town and characters. Looking forward to Book 2!

Summer of Love? Yes, please! This book gives you the good, the bad and the ugly—when there’s love without trust. I loved the characters though there were moments where I wanted to scold them for reacting the way they did. In the end, they get what they deserve and it’s all the more sweeter because of the ups and downs. I loved that this story was set in a small town, and now I really want to visit a cidery!

Looking for a romance that is a great blend of sweet and spicy?

Then you’ve come to the right place. This warm and fuzzy romance has plenty of steam and plenty of drama. It was a light and fast read, perfect to take to the beach.

I received an ARC copy for the purposes of reviewing this book. It will be available on Kindle Sept. 21, 2021.

So I was going to start this with how fast it started, how fast they fell in love, it was all just crazy fast…. If you think that when you start this too, just hold on and keep reading. Sometimes things happen quickly and in a whirlwind, I know my relationship with my husband did.

Kade is a city girl and Brody is a country boy. They meet while camping and seem to have a fast whirlwind romance. But everything isn’t as it seems to be, that or someone is a big fat liar!

Five years after their whirlwind romance Kade and Tina move to his little town to set up their bakery. Will they pick up where they left off or will Kade have a new love in her life?

The story was really cute. I kept thinking how great it would be if Hallmark (or even Netflix) would pick this up as a movie. Actually, come to think of it, probably better if Netflix picked this up because it had some pretty steamy parts that I wouldn’t want to miss, and Hallmark would definitely leave them out haha.

Kimberly has a really good writing style. It was easy to follow and I didn’t catch any mistakes at all! I’m going to keep my eyes peeled in hope for a Tina story though. She sure is a spitfire! 😉

Just an added thought here…. What is with all of these crappy parents in books?! It truly makes me appreciate mine so much more! I couldn’t imagine going through what Kade went through in this story and not having the support from my parents! And they go and…. Well, never mind. I will let you read what they did for yourself!

Definitely another good romance story to throw on your TBR!

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐈 𝐝𝐢𝐝𝐧'𝐭 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞:
How quickly the characters fell "in love" with each other
The characters acted so immature in many situations
There didn't seem to be a ton of chemistry between the main characters, aside from their physical desires.
The situation that caused this to be a second chance romance could have been cleared up with a simple conversation, I mean a real simple conversation.

𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐥:
The story line was cute. Once I got passed the chapters that took place 5 years in the past I was able to fly through the book. While I appreciated the glimpse into the past, I just felt those chapters dragged on. I didn't care for how she ditched her friend to "shack up" with a stranger and how quickly they just fell into a relationship. I'm all for quick love but it just felt it was too much.

The book is filled with emotions, so many of them it’s brimming. This is one of those books where what you see is what you get, nothing that can throw you off guard, or give you a disgusting taste. I was all but jaw-slacked by Kade and Brody’s chemistry in the first few chapters of the book, and the spice meter, well done Kimberly!

I was pretty mad at Brody for not pursuing Kade further and also at Kade for not giving him a chance. And though it was how they finally got their happy second chance, five years is a long time to spend finding the right one in the wrong people. Both Kade’s and Brody’s parental issues made me so sad.

Lila and Kade are independent businesswomen and they make me feel so proud and incredibly motivated at the same time. I love Kade’s commitment to dealing with local businesses and her strength when she stands up to her parents and Michael. As for Brody, I understand his reserves. He lost his parents and the chance at a life that he could’ve had. Sure, he’s now happy at the farm and doing well, but when he turned eighteen, at the age when he was about to go to college, he never had the choice of living the life he could’ve wanted. He doesn’t complain, sure, but when he lost his parents at the age and inherited the farm, it could’ve left an impact that didn’t seem so visible when he gave all his time to the farm. Though I’m happy for both of them, I understand where they come from.

Throughout the book, I’ve been so excited about Lila and Travis’ story, and now that I know that the wedding ring in the epilogue on Lila’s finger is from her marriage with Travis (I read the third book first -_-), I can’t wait to jump into the second book.

Although this was an easy read, this story was not one that warmed my heart the way I was hoping. I felt like Kade’s reaction 5 years ago was immature. If she had gone from there and moved on, then sure. But she cut Brody out and didn’t let him explain, then kept thinking about him for years.

Then when the tables are turned, even witnessing the shock and disappointment Kade was experiencing with Michael’s proposal, he just storms out. Lots of growing up would need to occur. I just didn’t find it heartwarming. It felt like two immature people coming together. I wish in those 5 years there had been more growth.

great second chance story

I loved this story! Such a great job for a first novel by this author. I look forward to the rest of this series.

I loved that these two had to work so hard for their happy ever after. There were major road blocks and trust issues that needed to be overcome. I enjoyed that they weren’t quick to resolve the problems and that each had to work through it on their own terms. It was so rewarding.

This is a fun fast read…do not miss it

This review might have spoilers.
First of all I took way too long to review this book after reading it. But I was glad to go back and relive this sweet story.

This is the love story of Brody and Kade. They accidentally meet in the forest while camping. Soon the friendship moved into a fast passionate and hot camping affair. Brody is Hot…

Unfortunately… Well things didn't go as they wanted once they both went back to their normal lives. A misunderstanding involving a third party, that felt like a total betrayal to Kade.

As life moves on, years later she and her best friend decide to buy and re-open a bakery in Brody's town. Friction between those two is inevitable. Sparks and fiery banter creates tension between them. Her best friend is ready to punch him. However, the town is ruling for them. Except for Kade's parents and her ex-fiancé.

All in all she is perfect for him. They fit in each other's lives like engrains in a clock.

This is a fun fast read…do not miss it!

First off I want to thank @romancemewithbooks & @kimberlyannbooks for my free audiobook copy in exchange for an honest review.

What a cute romance story. I loved the Canadian setting and the fast pacing of the story. The multiple POV between Kade and Brody made it more engaging to know how each party felt on their side. Although I did find them a bit immature regarding their misunderstandings which frustrated me a bit. Apart from that though I really fell in love with both of them together.

The heat between these 2 is nuts, but the love they have for eachother is even crazier. It was such a perfect blend of sweet and spicy with a sprinkle of drama. I also did really enjoy Lila and Travis the best friends are also totally swoon worthy, such great friends that always have their backs which I loved. I cannot wait to read their story.

It was a very well written book with great chemistry, steam, sweetness, and I will definitely continue the Logan Creek series.

If you want a steamy small town, second change romance with a HEA read this one !

When I read the blurb for Canadian Summer, I knew it sounded like something right up my alley. Small town romance. Second chance at love. It all grabbed my attention.

I'm going to do this review in two sections - the book and the audiobook. I'll start with the book. The book was super cute. I really liked Kade and Brody - well, I did like Brody. His actions at the end of the book made me want to scream. Obviously there's a HEA so he does redeem himself somewhat, but he truly frustrated me.

Characters I completely loved? Lila and Travis. And the epilogue made me think they weren't going to get their own book, but they do, and I've already downloaded it off of Kindle Unlimited.

Now for the actual audiobook. I loved the female narrator. She was amazing. The male narrator - I'd have loved him if he didn't try and do a female voice. It wasn't enough to make me stop listening though and I finished this audiobook in a day.

Overall, this first book in the Logan Creek series is super cute and I can't wait to read the other three in the series!

“She looked down at their intertwined fingers and marvelled at how big his hands were in comparison to hers. His big, tanned hand completely engulfed hers, and it gave her an odd sense of calm”

Kade and Brody met in a camp five years ago. Love and understanding was growing between them. Slowly and gradually, they were encapsulating themselves to each other but a twist of fate came in between their love and it shaken their bond. Since then they did not come to Logan Creek but after five years they have again met but now Kade is dating Michael and Brody is still suffering because of Ambers lie. Despite their past and lies, will they give another chance to each other? Will lila and Kade fulfil their dream of opening a bakery? Or will Kade move to Toronto with Michael?

Read the Canadian summer to encapsulate the odyssey of Kade and Brody and Lila and Travis. It was such a sweet read.

Good debut novel by Kimberly Ann. This is a second chance small town romance. The characters and side characters are relatable in so many ways. Brody and Kade have immediate chemistry. After 1 fantastic weekend and a misunderstanding later, they don’t speak for 5 years. Will their seeing each other after 5 years happen the way the envision it or will it be the absolute opposite? Can these two get past the misunderstanding and then another one to find their HEA?

Logan Creek seems like a dreaming place

This is my first book from Kimberly and sign me up for all her books. This book is totally my style, my favorite style of romance book. Small town, second chance, amazing chemistry and so romantic. Brody and Kade have this strong connection and insta love that makes everything so perfect. Brody is really grumpy and his life is really hard, Kade is the sunshine in his days, the person he needs to grow and be finally happy. Together they are the most romantic couple in Logan Creek, so far. Can’t wait for more of Logan Creek.

A great second chance romance

I enjoyed this story very much. A lot of miscommunication happened, and a few times I got frustrated with them letting others guide them, but that is life right. Sometimes we listen to those around us without trusting our hearts. Brody and Kade had to learn a few lesson in life and love before they could have their HEA. I recommend this one and look forward to the next.

I knew I was going to like this one right away when gathering wood for a fire was full of innuendos.

This book is what you want when you read a Small Town, Second Chance Romance. It is sweet, sexy, and it's full of nosey townspeople.

Brody, who is a little broody, owns the farm his parents left to him. Since they passed he has been reclusive and shut off.

One night Brody meets Kade (short for Kadence) and he feels in ways he hasn't in a long time.

I loved what they brought out in each other and their chemistry. A farmer and a bakery owner falling in love is a whole vibe.

Overall, I loved this one and am currently loving Canadian Fall the second in The Logan Creek Series. These books are so cute it makes you wish there was more than four seasons!

Sometimes you've got to earn your happily ever after, and these two had to do just that. With angst and drama along the way, this couple had to overcome a lot, but love conquers all! It was quite the journey, and I'm happy to have been able to follow it from start to finish.

This 3.5 rounded to a 4. I could not get past that 2 seemingly mature, intelligent individuals let the event of ONE WEEKEND change their lives for the next 5 years!!! Really. Yet it was so important that they could not give 30 minutes for a conversation that could have clarified a misunderstanding and saved a lot of heart ache. I guess I should probably change the word mature above...

Story had great potential, great writing style and loved the interrelationships with other story characters.

We follow Kade (Cadence) and Brody as they navigate the difficult waters of a steamy but ultimately failed fling. Five years ago, they met while camping and fell very quickly and very deeply in love. Unfortunately, fate (in the form of a jealous wanna-be lover) took matters into her own hands and blew up any chance they had at happiness with TNT. Jumpcut to the present – they’ve moved on (or so they thought) – and Cadence has come back to take over her aunt’s bakery, only to run into her old flame. He’s not nearly as friendly as he once was. In a town as small as theirs, it’s impossible to avoid each other.

I was immediately drawn to this book. I don’t know whether it was the cover, the synopsis, or the title that sang to me. But I knew the moment I saw it that I had to read it. And I did. I devoured this book.

The characters were believable. Likable. Flawed. Human. Their relationship was complex, if only by virtue of how things ended. It was a slow burn, by all accounts, which is precisely my brand of romance. To top it all off, their conflicts felt believable. A lot of my gripes in the romance genre come from manufactured confrontations and forced emotions. This all felt very organic to the characters, which speaks to a very well-thought-out plot and beautiful execution on the writer’s behalf on understanding her own characters.

I was honestly shocked by how much I enjoyed this read. Often times when it comes to something this simple, I end up thinking ‘well, this is nice to shut my brain off too.’ I don’t often feel particularly connected. I did feel connected to this lovely pair and I was over the moon with the ending.

That all being said, this was an easy five stars for me. I definitely recommend this for anyone who loves small-town, second-chance, steamy romance!

Kade and Brody meet each other during a camping trip with friends. Sparks fly immediately and they are inseparable for the rest of the weekend. Saying goodbye is difficult but they promise to stay connected via text, email, and facetime. When Kade is finally able to make the 4-hour trip to see Brody in his hometown of Logan Falls things deteriorate quickly. Brody has a girlfriend and fails to mention this to Kade. A heartbroken Kade spends the weekend licking her wounds at her aunt's house refusing to see Brody.
Fast forward 5 years, Kade has returned to Logan Falls to run her aunt's bakery with her good friend Lila. Who does she run into at the local pub where everything went so wrong all those years ago? Brody. Will Kade give Brody the courtesy of explaining what happened or will she let pride stand in the way of true love?
This book has all the steam wrapped up in a second chance at romance. I enjoyed the story but felt the characters were a bit quick to jump to conclusions. It was very nice to see Kade come into her own and stand up for herself. Looking forward to hearing more about Lila and Travis’ story next.

OMG! Where is Logan Creek because we need to all take a trip! The MMC is a broody farmer named Brody, while the FMC is the career oriented Kade. Luck and coincidence put them in one another’s lives and it couldn’t have worked out better. The twists and turns make for a great story. Simply put, this is a well thought out story with a definite happily ever after.

I received an ARC of Canadian Summer by and thoroughly enjoyed it. I love finding a new small town romance series and this is the first book in the series. Kade is a shy student on a camping trip with her best friend when they meet up with broody Brody who is dragged off of his farm by his friends to have some fun. Sparks fly immediately and they have a hot weekend together, promising to keep in touch. When they try to meet up again events conspire against them and they are torn apart. 5 years later fate puts them together again and things do not start out too well. After a few mishaps it looks like they will get their HEA but Kade’s parents throw a spanner in the works. Brody is scared of getting his heart broken again and lashes out hurting himself and Kade in the process. They are helped to find their way back to each other by their friends. There are a few characters in the book who are introduced to us and hopefully they will get their own books. This is a sweet, spicy, enjoyable read.

A sweet small-town romance that heats up over a weekend camping. Kimberly does a terrific job of writing this sweet romance.
I this strangers to lovers romance, Kade and Brody meet on a camping weekend with their friends. Kade is a sweet college student camping with her best friend. She was not looking for any type of romance but in walks Brody. Brody is the hunky and handsome cowboy that is very helpful. Brody had his heart broken and wasn't looking for anyone until Kade drops her firewood at the campsite he's at. Things get hot and heavy fast and they go their separate ways.

One weekend Kade decides to visit Brody. What could possibly wrong? When they meet five years later, after Kade and her friend take over Kade's aunt's bakery. Will she let him back into her life and heart? Can she start him not to break it again? Will Brody show her he is worth letting him in?

This is the first in the series and I look forward to reading the next installment. Kimberly grabs your attention and gets you interested in the storyline right from the start.
