Colet Abedi is an Iranian-American, best-selling author, television and film producer. She was born in Virginia and currently lives in Los Angeles. When she's not writing she's either off on an adventure in a far-off land or planning her next getaway. She writes contemporary romance and young adult.
Conquered by Colet Abedi is book 5 in The Sinclair Brothers Series. This continues the story of William Sinclair 'Sin' and Vivianne Monroe 'Viv'. So, you do need to read the previous book 'Conquer' before starting this one. This book picks up exactly where we left with Vivianne being taking and now forced to watch what they think will turn her against Sin. Sin has vowed to get her back and that is what he goes to do. This was non stop excitement and page turning read for me. Will be looking for more from this author.
Sexy romance and dangerous intrigue! This story picks up where the last one left off with Vivienne in peril and William in mad pursuit to find her. The villain is not a surprise and one William needs to deal with. But the first thing William does is overreact to the danger and causes Vivienne distress. It takes a minute for the two to get back on track and then it’s all steamy hotness for the couple. Their sizzling chemistry and intense connection are undeniable. It’s an emotional journey for William and Vivienne that’s full of drama, deceit, danger, suspense, revenge, mystery and loads of passion. Terrific secondary characters too. This is not a standalone, the first story must be read first. This is an exciting romance suspense with all the elements for a fantastic read. 3.5 stars
OMG absolutely fabulous! Loved every second of this book. From the rescue, to the absolutely delicious constant bickering. I’m here for every second of it. This was a real journey for both Williams and Vivianne. They had to dig deep and face the demons and figure out what they truly want for their lives. Learning even more about Williams time in captivity and some more about his childhood and relationship with his brothers was a great thing to see. Also seeing that Max and Daphne are stuck together is absolutely hilarious! They are soooo attracted to each other it is not even funny, I would love for them to get a book. But I just love the fact that he LOVES to push Viv’s buttons just to see how she is going to react, knowing they have “secrets” that no one else is privy to and likes to make her as uncomfortable as possible. They are like moths to a flame they can not stay away from each other no matter how much they try to fight it, it’s just not possible. I’m so happy that they found their way through all their demons and found their happy ending!! They are truly perfect for each other, meant to be together.
“I knew there was a possibility that I would never come back from this. I’m outside my body, looking in on the situation and wondering the odds…”
This book has everything you’d want and more…angst, revenge, mystery, passion, desire, regret, loyalty, deceit, steaminess…it will keep you on the edge of your seat guessing right up to the last page.
“…his voice is a husky combination of anger and desire. “What do you think I’ll do to anyone who tries to steal from me?“No one takes what’s mine. Not ever.””
If you love controlling alphas who don’t think they can be taken down. If you love a determined, fierce, trustworthy heroine who doesn’t know the power she wields. Mix in fear, anger and a dance with the devil and you will have a perfect story.
“He unleashes the force of his passion and I welcome the storm. I welcome his fire, even though there is an element, a wild element, something animalistic I see in his eyes that scares me… just a little.”
This is Book 2 of a duet in the new addition to the Mad Love Series by this author. It is the conclusion to the suspenseful romance between William and Vivianne. Their sizzling chemistry and intense connection are undeniable as they navigate the bumpy road to their forever after. It is an emotional journey with drama, deceit, action, suspense, revenge, mystery, steam, and passion, plus engaging secondary characters to keep the reader interested. A gripping read with heart, heat and a happy ending. This is not a standalone. Please read Book 1, Conquer, of the duet to enhance your reading pleasure.
I received an Advance Reader Copy of this book from Valentine PR and am voluntarily leaving my honest review.
Thrilling story of finding strength and courage to move forward. Vivienne and William are magnetic. The heat these two give burned my fingers. Excellent start to a new series.
This story picks up where conquer left off, Vivianne has been captured and its up to William to get her back! William vows to himself that once he gets her back he will never be the reason she gets in danger again. While Vivianne is captured they show her videos of Williams time in the coliseum....what they think would make her hate him only caused her love to grow.
Once back in William's safety, Vivianne thinks everything is going to be okay but William has other plans. A forced marriage later and Vivianne is ready to give William a fight, she's going to demand answers and break the walls down that he's tried to rebuild around his heart.
The chemistry between these two is one of my favorite things about this characters and book 2 gave just as much as book 1. I would've loved to see more at the end but I am happy they got their HEA.
I enjoyed the first story and loved William but for some reason, I didn't enjoy this one as much. Pretty much for the get go, I was irritated by the actions of the main characters. William was contradictory. He claimed that he needed to leave Vivianne alone and yet everything he did only cemented her to him. Vivianne claimed that she needed to protect herself from him and yet kept falling in love with him. Yes the chemistry was hot but I couldn't enjoy the story. It seemed that the characters couldn't control their lust for each other and they couldn't keep their word even to themselves. I found it bothersome that when William revealed the truth about his actions earlier in the story, Vivianne didn't seem more infuriated by his decision when she was in a vulnerable state. There were moments of push back on her part which I loved but not enough given the situation. Her sister's reaction and attitude was more of what I would have liked to have seen. I did like the interactions between the Sinclair brothers and Max and wish there had been more of this and more story related to William taking care of the men who risked Vivianne's life. I felt that this was too easily wrapped up. Now this is clearly a personal opinion and impacted me. It may not be the case for others so while I couldn't fully enjoy the tale, it was still well written and would encourage others to read it.
William is sitting in the lounge at the Marrakech airport enraged. For one second he felt carefree, like his old self. Before he had been kidnapped and forced to commit murder for the entertainment of monsters...one second was all his enemies needed to take Vivianne.
Vivianne doesn't know how many videos she had been shown. William is a gorgeous vision even if it's in brutality as he kills one man after another in battles to the death at the Colosseum. The Colosseum where he received all his scars, both internal and external.
She is being held in a room full of videos walls which are playing William's fights to the death continually in a loop. They think the videos will disgust her, make her despise him, but she understands he had to lock his emotions away in order to survive the evil he was forced into. The videos only make her love him more because they show her that these evil men didn't break him.
What a wonderful conclusion to William & Vivianne's story. It is very well written and the characters are full of depth and very relatable. Colet Abedi words brought William and Vivianne's past to life to show the true horrors they both survived.
William's strong personality comes through the pages and Vivianne may be leagues behind in experience but she shows William that there is a reward to their past scars if he will only reach out and take it.
This book is action packed from cover to cover! It is full of fear, danger, evil men and smoking hot chemistry. Highly recommend this series and Colet Abedi!
Wow! Vivianne and William's story continues with the angst, the alpha intensity and does not disappoint. There's a growth to the characters, a rebuilding of relationships and a back and forth full of fire between these two. There's great nail biting throughout and characters I want to dig in to more!
I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Conquered continues William and Vivianne's story with Vivianne captured in the hands of the enemy. It doesn't take long, though, for William to come in and save her, but the real struggle comes after that when they're both forced to think about what they want for themselves in the future. Overall, this was a good book, but my issues from the previous books still hold true. I would have much preferred to read about the struggle William had to go through not only to capture and defeat his enemies but also the internal battles he had to fight in order to truly let himself breathe. On the other hand, this book was my favorite out of this series simply because it had the best-developed plot and character development. I loved the way Vivianne and William's story developed, despite how long it took for them to convey their true feelings for each other. Overall, it was alright, I just wish there was a little more action.
This is not a standalone, Conquer has to read before reading this book. It’s a beautifully written book and I loved every minute of it. Loved William and Vivian’s journey. The story was captivating and beautifully written as the previous book. This is the first time I’ve read Ms Abedi and I can’t wait to read more book by her. Definitely a must read! It was unputdownable and eloquently written.
This book was so freaking good and had me crying the last 10%. I want a boyfriend like William Sinclair and I want Him now, thank you very much. Everyone please go read this one asap
Perfect ending for Sin and Viviane! This one had a bit of everything from revenge, secrets, chemistry, and laughter! I'm still chuckling over the meeting the guys had at the palazzo!
OMG . I just loved this story so much !! Conquered by Colet Abedi is is book 5 in The Sinclair Brothers Series ) and is the continuation Williams ( sins ) and Vivianne’s ( Viv’s love story .) I literally could not put it down once I started reading . If you love a story filled with lots of angsty moments, a alpha that is 100% swoony , drama , intrigue, love , second chances and a storyline that is so flawless then you won’t want to miss this . One of the things I loved most about Sin and Viv is the growth and of their relationship throughout the story . It was so emotional and beautiful.
This book was everything, I devoured it all in just one day, I couldn’t put it down, I was hooked. In book one we got to see how William’s and Vivianne’s love story started, and the ending did not disappoint. Not going to lie there were moments were I wanted to kick both of them, they were driving me nuts with the I love you but we can’t be together because I’m too bad for you. But other than that their story captivated my heart. So so good ❤️
Conquered pick up right after the cliffhanger ending of the previous book. I really enjoyed this book; I feel as though the development of the characters was better, and I learned more about William’s past which I found very interesting in the first book. This is was such a page turner. It was like watching a movie. It felt very cinematic. I enjoyed the relationship aspect of things here too. Overall a great sequel to Conquer!
Conquered is book Five in The Sinclair Brothers Series and it's really enjoyable. What I always expect from Colet Abedi. I Loved the story just like the other books in the series.
This was a great follow up to the first book. William and Vic are perfect for each other. Their chemistry is off the chart. I couldn't get enough of them.
Conquered, book 5 in the Sinclair Brothers series, picks up right where Conquer left off, and the action is thrilling from the start!
William Sinclair’s uncle has kidnapped Vivianne Monroe and taken her to the colosseum where she will be awarded to the winner of a fight. Williams believes he is responsible for Vivianne’s predicament and vows to leave here if and when he rescues her.
The aspect of this book that won me over is the intense angst going on between William and Vivianne. Will he be strong enough to leave her for her own good? Will Vivianne be strong enough to let him go, or can she convince him that they are perfect for one another? Before we make it to the finish, we are treated to travels on a luxury ship, adventures in the Greek isles, a marriage which may or may not be real, and plenty of heat!!!
Strong characters inhabit this book. I especially love William, his two brothers, Clayton and Michael, and William’s best friend Max. These guys are crazy and funny and deeply loyal to one another. I also loved getting to better know Vivianne and her sister Delilah who seems to be in an entanglement of her own!
Conquered is part two of a duet. You must read the first book Conquer in order to get the full story. Trust me - you’ll love these books. They have an almost exotic appeal that makes the reading experience an interesting one. Ah, to live life under the thumb of a Sinclair brother.
When you finish, be sure to let me know what you think!
Oh, my… (Sigh) William, William… I need more of him!
In Conquered, book 5 in the Sinclair Brothers series by Colet Abedi and the final installment in William and Vivianne story, William can’t seem to hold back feelings that arise when it comes to Vivianne. He just can’t help falling more and more dor this woman back, even though he tries hard!
This second part of the story is packed with emotional scenes and I loved seeing the relationship between William and Viv develop. He is this bruised alpha who needs to absorb the idea of having love in his life. Viv seems to get that perfectly and that’s why they’re a perfect fit.
Another great thing in Conquered, is the involvement of the other Sinclair brothers in William’s plans regarding Viv and his revenge. We got to see their bond in book 1 and again in book 2 it’s something beautiful to see.
The settings in this book also caught my attention. I felt like I was there watching them. Colet Abedi’s prose is captivating and I’ll make sure to read more of hers.
I had a blast with this ride and I’m sure lovers of a hot alpha hero, action, love at first sight and (of course) a great amount of steamy moments will enjoy this one as much!
This is the fifth book in this impressive series and is William / Sin and Vivianna / Viv journey. Book four ended with Viv being captured, and she is forced to watch videos about Sin, which are meant to turn her against him. Sin is determined to get Viv back by any means, and the chemistry between them is combustible and undeniable. This is a well written story which is filled with emotions, twists, bickering, humor, angst, vengeance, mystery, passion, loyalty, deceit, secrets, surprises, and love, which leads to a steamy and riveting page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
This continues with William and Vivianne’s story and it was everything. I was hooked right from the start and finished it in just one sitting. I liked both of their characters more in this book, it was more developed and you can see how much they've grown since the first book. Gotta love William, I did. We got more of his past. Their chemistry is as hot, actually, even better than before, it was off the charts. Just the perfect ending to their story.
This is a fabulous conclusion to William and Vivianne's story which is the 5th book in the Sinclair Brothers series. It picks up from where Conquer finished off. I loved the push and pull between these 2 characters. I have a soft spot for family books so loved the scenes with the brothers together, especially in the restaurant!! Looking forward to seeing if Delilah gets a book!
Ive read all the Sinclair Brothers Books. Obviously in Claytons book, there is an incident that is later the story line for Conquer and Conquered. All the other books had an epilog. This book didn’t. I was disappointed. It also left some unfinished storylines regarding Delilah, Vivian’s sister and Max, williams best friend. Im hoping theres another book in the works covering their story. And hoping it would also include more about the Sinclair brothers and their wives. Im not ready to let them go. All the books are great and I would recommend reading them.
The roller coaster of Vivian and William’s relationship is non stop. Both don’t want to admit that they have fallen in love. The story twists and turns till the end.
I liked this much better than the previous one but I cannot get over the number of typos, does she not have an editor? I counted no less than 50 errors and found it quite distracting!!
