Pip and Posy: The Birthday Party
Pip and Posy are best friends – they love to play, and make things, and have fun. But just occasionally they get cross or sad, and sometimes things go wrong that are beyond their control. And that’s when kindness, sympathy – and resourcefulness – make everything better.
In The Birthday Party, It’s Posy’s big day and she’s delighted with Pip’s present of a beautiful toy bus. The friends have fun with the bus, then play some energetic party games and, before long, it’s time for the birthday tea. My two year old son loves this series so we couldn't wait for this brand new story.
It's Posy's birthday and Pip has come over to celebrate. They are having a lovely time playing with Posy's new toy bus, musical statues, keep the balloon in the air and pin-the-tail-on-the-dinosaur!
They both sat down to a lovely birthday tea and Pip went to bring Posy her birthday cake.
Unfortunately Pip trips over the new toy bus and the cake lands on top of poor old Posy. You can imagine the upset! Luckily Pip saves the day by having the great idea of making some new cakes.
As always this is already a new favourite. The Pip and Posy stories just capture toddler life so brilliantly. The highs, the lows, the screaming meltdowns when it all goes a bit wrong! What parent and toddler can't identify with them?!
The illustrations throughout these stories are stunning and we love discussing all the little details of Pip and Posy's life. 'Mummy look, Neep Neep (penguin) and Piggy and Froggy are having party food too. Oh no Froggy's eyes have gone. Look his hat....It's fallen down!!!'
There is just so much to talk about and so many feelings to relate to!
A fabulous series that I whole heartedly recommend to any toddlers out there!

Ta część opowiada w tradycyjnie prosty sposób o przyjaźni, zwykłym, ludzkim radzeniu sobie z przeciwnościami i o umiejętności przekształcania tego, co złe, w to co dobre.
