Matthew A. Goodwin has been writing about spaceships, dragons and adventures since he was twelve years old. His passion for fantasy began when he discovered a box set of the Hobbit radio drama on cassette tape in his school’s library at the age of seven. He fell in love with fantasy worlds and soon discovered D&D and Warhammer miniatures.

Not wanting to be limited by worlds designed by others, he created Thutopia (now called the Thuton Empire), a fantasy world of his own which he still writes about to this day.

Like many kids with an affinity for fantasy, a love of science fiction soon followed. He loved sweeping space operas and gritty cyberpunk stories which asked questions about man’s relationship to technology. That led him to write his first published work, Into Neon: A Cyberpunk Saga, which takes place in a larger science fiction universe.

He has a passion for travel and wildlife and when he is not off trying to see the world, he lives in San Francisco with his wife and son.

Rebel a little, give this series a shot!

I didn’t know what to expect when I started reading this series but it was recommended by someone I knew so I gave it shot. The main guy Moss, he’s like most people, he does what he’s told and tries not to rock the boat. A series of events happen and he’s who we’d hope we would become if we had to rise to the occasion. He has old friends that keep him grounded and new friends that push him to his potential. Throw in underlying themes of corporate greed, vanity, rebellion, and violence. It’s a great series!

I am giving this boxed set 5 stars. It reminds me of the Shadowrun games (Rpg and Sega Genesis) and novels that I used to play and read during the 1990’s.

A delightful romp of my early adulthood and brought me back to a simpler time where the evil corporate elite were the clear baddies and I was a street samurai instead of being a middle age corp wage slave.

I listened to this audio BoxSet from my library. Interesting characters, but the story kept repeating the same theme. I would think there is another book(s) after this since the potential in Moss and the "programmed chip" was not explained. I don't know if I will continue if there is.

This set was a pretty standard cyberpunk story. Nothing too different or innovative. Which is why I liked it. Just fun and good. Don't overtime it.
