Walker’s life didn’t turn out the way he’d planned, but he’s worked hard the past three years to change that. He met his best friend, Jet, when he started work at the Salvation Kings' auto shop. Even knowing how bad an idea it was, he couldn’t stop his heart from getting involved. Being secretly in love with his best friend sucks, but he can’t help loving Jet. He’s everything Walker could ever want. So, when Jet asks Walker to kiss him, how could he say no?
Jet’s life is changed with a single kiss because he never imagined how much it could make him feel. Walker is his best friend, but what if they could have more than friendship? What if he could love Walker in a different way? He just has to prove to Walker that he’s serious about them. It won’t be easy, especially when the horror that is Walker’s past almost pulls them apart.
As a member of the Salvation Kings Motorcycle Club, Jet has seen his fair share of death and destruction and it has made him tougher than most. Walker pushes him away when someone dangerous from his past comes back for him, but Jet won’t let anything come between them. Not even murder.
Ana Night is a writer of suspenseful gay romance. She’s an avid reader who has loved the written word since she discovered it. When she was a kid, she never went anywhere without a notebook. She was always writing, be it in the backseat of the car, between classes in school, or by the pool on vacations.
Ana is a self-proclaimed expert in hugging, people climbing and especially ugly dancing. When she’s not writing, you can find her with her nose buried in a book, singing and dancing, watching her favorite TV shows, or creating book covers.
Ana lives in Denmark where she spends most of her time running from her ninja kitty—that one goes for the ankles—and getting lost in the woods with her horse.
Jet was easy going but badass when he needed to be. The author built up their yearning for one another perfectly.
Walker needed a strong protector; someone who believed him and stood by him no matter what. Jet was perfect for Walker and I loved how he always had Walker’s back.
I really enjoyed Jet and Walker’s story - it was fun, steamy with a dash of danger to keep things interesting.
“I voluntarily read this book. All opinions stated are solely my own and no one else's*
I'm torn about this book. I didn't feel as much chemistry with the couple as the author wanted to convey. Besides finding the attempts at jokes a bit forced, it was boring. But at the same time, I like the story.
This book, despite mentioning serial murders and everything, was calm and even though it's set within the MC and has several appearances by characters from other books, it didn't give me the feeling of unity that they try to convey. Yes, they rushed to help, from the beginning they set out to eliminate Walker's threat, but it seemed like what it was, a special appearance in the story of their club mate.
One detail that really bothers me, but not just in this book, in the entire series, is the repetition of the character's name in each paragraph, it's irritating.
Jet, a member of the MC, has appeared since the first book of the series. His character is kind of shallow. In addition to getting drunk frequently, he works at the club's auto repair shop. Oh! He's also straight, but he felt attracted to his best friend and discovers that he's actually bi. Walker is mysterious and annoying, he is gay, he works with Jet, in the club's garage, and has been in love with him since he met him. He was also accused and served a few years in prison for crimes he did not commit, which were set up to incriminate him. And that's it.
This is an interesting addition to the Salvation Kings MC series but unfortunately it was just an okay read for me. I like that Jet and Walker's relationship evolves from best friends to so much more but I wish that they had spent more time discussing their feelings and that Walker had been honest with Jet about his past before they became a couple. Jet's determination to protect Walker could put him and the Salvation Kings in grave danger but as usual with this group they are all in to help no matter what they may have to face. It was great to see some of my favorite couples from the previous books and I look forward to reading the next book in this series.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
Great, descriptive characters and an intriguing storyline with mystery, murder, secrets, and more. It is full of action, found family, acceptance, laughs, and more. Loved the dynamic between Jet and Walker, their connection and progression felt real, and their love genuine. Walker was a little more reserved, a more stoic character, where Jet was sassy, snarky, and dangerous when necessary. There was a great friendship and plenty of steam between them. There were a lot of secondary characters and if you have not read the previous books you might feel a little lost. This book also needs proofreading.
et and Walker are best friends but secretly Jet has yearned for more. Walker has never accepted invitations to MC activities when Jet has invited him. Why? Walker has secrets, things Jet knows nothing about. As those secrets come to light and Jet and Walker become intimate, Jet and the Salvation Kings will do everything to protect Walker. Family is protected above all else and Walker soon learns he isn't alone anymore, he has a man who loves him and a club who will and can protect him. I am hooked on the Salvation Kings series and Jet was no exception. I loved these two
I really enjoyed this book ,what happens is Walker gets sent to jail for awhile for a crime he did not do but then gets out early and befriends Jet who he is secretly in love with than it keeps happening to Walker someone is stalking him and hurting innocent people until He finally gets together with Jet and Walker is very surprised who is after him and wanting to destroy his life but with Help from Jet and the other Bikers is doesn't go far i read this book for my honest opinion
I hate friends to lovers trope in romance book. Thank goodness, Ana Night spare me the details about Jet's past love life, unfortunately Walker is the one with details but I can understand his situations and it makes my heart sting just a little.
I really enjoyed this friends to lovers story within the Salvation Kings MC world. Jett and Walker went through a few bumps in their journey to happiness with a little help from some familiar characters. I love this universe and hope to read more Salvation Kings books in the future.
If you enjoy a MC with some action and bikers who fall in love then you should read the series. A pleasant surprise to get a Jet and Walker story. Best friends to lovers and a not quite gfy with some hot steamy times😍😍 On to the next then.
A great story to continue the salvation kings series. Can't wait for more. The whole series runs together well and even the kings disciples spin off is done very well. Ana Night has another fan!
I really enjoyed this one, you couldn’t see where this was going at first. It was an interesting story and Jet and Walker were perfect together. So glad there is going to be another one.
