Lyra has known William Callahan nearly all of her life. He's her next door neighbor and her father's best friend. She wrote a love note that William found- and that spurred him on to ask her father for her hand in marriage. Lyra knew that she would be in an arranged marriage, but never dreamed it would be her secret crush and teacher, Professor Callahan.
"I'd rather you see me as your neighbor, your student, your best friend's daughter, than for you to ever hate me for confessing how I truly feel about you.
And that feeling, no matter how hard I try to fight and forget it, seems to grow day and day on. I just hope that one day, one miraculous day, you'll begin to see me in the same way that I see you."
She's been so in love with him for years that whenever he has a "guest" over, she watches from the privacy of her room and wishes it was her. But when William realized that she cared for him, he stopped with the casual flings. He is 100% obsessed with her.

Professor Callahan by Kehlani Booth is an arranged marriage age gap romance.
I really enjoyed the relationship that bloomed between William and Lyra. I liked that we got both of their points of views throughout the book.
I would have to say my only complaint on the story there were references to other characters that I felt like I needed the back story for. But it was a small section, so it didn't take away from the story.
I would recommend this book if you like arranged marriage romances, age gap romances, father's best friend romance, professor and student romance or contemporary romance.

Professor Callahan is a forbidden age gap romance following Lyra and her dad’s best friend, William. I went into this one pretty blind and parts definitely surprised me. I loved that this story was longer than KB’s naughty novelette stories and still managed to be a quick, easy read! 3.5⭐️

The book doesn't make sense and is so unrealistic that it's not believable.
He is her professor and her dad's BFF. She's 18. He's much older. I love the age gap, so that's not the issue.
They get engaged as it's an arranged marriage to keep the wealthy wealthy in their town. No one finds it odd because that's how they do it in their town and sociL circles.
No one has an issue that they're engaged while he's her professor, and she's the student.
Her father goes away overnight, and she has to stay at the father's BBF's house. She's 18, can be in an arranged marriage, but can't stay home by herself overnight?
Then, her FATHER sends a text that they are to NOT have pre-marital sex while they go away on holiday, AND her father packs her clothes as a surprise to her?
They promise nonm sex til the wedding, but everything else.is fair game? They have THAT much restraint? Not believable.
I love down, dirty, taboo age gap, but this story wasn't adding up. There wasn't the spice the author is known for. There was a disconnect for me with the characters. They weren't relatable.
The grammatical errors were annoying as well.

Professor (the father's best friend, William, 38) x student (Lyra, 17 almost 18) are engaged in a sort of arranged marriage to keep the reputation/wealth within their small town. Lyra's been lusting after William for the past 4 years, but William has only just started to notice her.
This is a full length novel at 20 chapters, so the story is a bit more fleshed out and feels more complete compared to all the other novelettes.
I'd love a story for William's brother, Jordan. Maybe an MM or an MMF since he's bi. Super curious to know his story and maybe with one of the other Torres brothers? Seemed like there may be some tension there.

I really liked the story of Professor Callahan and his good little girl! It was a fast paced, drama less story that I enjoyed every second of.
The spice is so hot 🥵 and the sweet scenes are swoon worthy. Recommend it to people who are looking for a short and fast read

No plot, purely character driven. No background stories, no understanding given for the early marriage requirements. The story was just lacking so much.

Five minutes into this book there is a plot twist. Arrange marriage, I did not see that coming. Age gap, taboo, student and teacher forbidden relationship. William and Lyra relationship was so pure. Their chemistry was amazing. Kehlani booth is the best forbidden romance author. I love her books.

The story was fun but I couldn't handle the spelling errors and the weird syntax. I get it if the author is not a native English speaker but I'm not sure that's the case. Even if it was, a good editor could fix that.
I also wish she explained what happened to Lyra's mom and the drama between Niccolo and Romero. Also Damiano's friendship with Lyra. Too many loose ends.
