Forever cherished, forever his, forever inked. The last thing Marley expects when she enters Skin Sins tattoo shop is to find a new life, but that's exactly what happens when she meets Rogue, the biker tattoo artist, who sees past her scars.
Jailaa West grew up on the southside of Chicago. She fell hard for romance books in junior high school when she got her first book boyfriend. Aww, she remembers it like it was yesterday. That first kiss. When he swore his undying love. When they married in the epilogue. When it ended. Say what now? She quickly found another book boyfriend and then another and yet another. She’s been book-in-love quite a few times now and she loves it as much as the first time. Books have always given her a happy place; a heart full of hope, love, and a light when the world seemed dark. She hopes to do the same for her readers.
Cherishing Her by Jailaa West Skin Sins Tattoo Shop #1. Contemporary romance. MC. Marley spends hours getting an intricate tattoo to cover her scars. Rogue falls in love with her strength and determination.
A lot of background is covered in this short instalove romance. From her cancer recovery and rebirth to his brothers in the MC to the fact that they are all legit now. Rogue falls hard and his macho behavior is very much on point. Steamy and domineering. Loved the epilogue. Tears. The writing is a bit abrupt but the story intent is clear and hea so it’s a win.
I love the world the author has built with these broken characters. They both find love in unusual places. I am looking forward to reading more books in this series. Nothing like broken characters who find their HEA.
This story is a very quick read and it’s hot. Rogue is a bit over-the-top alpha male. He meets Marley when she has him tattoo over her scars from breast cancer. He wanted to claim her then but she was his client and therefor forbidden. When she comes back into his shop again, much later, he knows that he can’t let her go again.
This was my first story by Jailaa West and I enjoyed reading it.
I'm gonna be completely honest here. I lasted four pages before I deleted it perfectly, and it was a freebook. Like a lot of Kindle series, the offer the free book. Hoping you like it and then you come back and buy the series. It's been a bit of an emcee kick, and I also really like tattoo, shop romances, so I was pretty excited for a combo book here. The premise seems so cute. She comes in to be a strong individual covering up some scarves, and he instantly falls for her, but here's the thing. In order for your premise of your book to be good, you have to actually let us read that part. You have to let us build that connection with the characters. The story has to be there. Give and take that initial reaction that built up of feelings. We need it as readers to connect to the characters to want to read the book. The entire meeting you don't get hurried. It's taught you in a synopsis. After she walks back in the shop after her tattoo is already done and him, explaining how he felt for her in very, very little detail. Other than that He was obsessed with her and didn't like hurting her with a tattoo gun. But you don't get to read any of that interaction, it doesn't actually happen in the book. It happens in his flashback, within the first 2 pages and by the third page. She's there talking and talking and talking and talking and he's in there talking and talking and talking talking paragraph, some paragraphs of completing our bullshit that you don't actually care about, because You don't care about these characters yet, because you didn't read anything about them. You don't know anything about that.About themYou didn't get a connection about them. It's just not good writing. To be honest, I'm super disappointed because that was such a good premise. And it could have been such a good book and such a good read, but you're honestly just left wanting. I is sabiro CDI have a hard time putting books down and not finishing them and for me that they be like nope. Nope, don't like it at like page 4. And immediately delete it. No, i'm sorry, but this is just it wasn't good.

Marley is a breast cancer survivor. She goes to get a tattoo to cover her scars from her surgery. She goes back a second time for a piercing and that is when Rogue snaps. Rogue is a gorgeous bad boy biker who is also a tattoo artist. He did his greatest work on the beauty and is surprised to see her again. She escaped him Once and he was determined that she would not escape him again. This is a sweet fast paced instalove story with some spice thrown in. Rogue is an over the to protector and Marley has proven that she is a fighter, she doesn’t need to be protected. I love the quote “Who doesn’t want a warrior.” Rogue sees beyond her disease and the scars and only sees the fighter that she truly is. Great lunch time read.
First things first; I like the cover of this book! Cherishing her is the first book in the ‘’skin sins tattoo shop’’ series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. Cherishing her is the first book of Jailaa West’s that I have read. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. Rogue wants Marley as soon as he meets her but will she give him a chance? I did see some chemistry between Marley and Rogue. The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read. I look forward to more books from this series.
I guess I need to pay better attention to the length of books before I get them. I was intrigued about the story line, but the book was so short I feel cheated of an actual romance story. The book is literally Rogue telling Marley that he thinks she's hot, Marley feeling unattractive because of a double mastectomy, rogue telling her she's a fighter, her acknowledging she's a fighter, him claiming her after a long story about how she's perfect for him, they have sex, and he introduces her to his brothers that we font really know much about except a vague reference to their background. End scene. Because it was literally one scene. I feel let down that we didn't get any more.
Marley’s a survivor of cancer who’s looking to adventure out of her boring and dull life after enduring and winning her fight for her life against this disease. Rogue is a biker turned tattoo artist trying to turn his life around and stay on the straight and narrow along with his biker brothers after their leader Ruiz sacrificed himself for the sake of the Roarers. Rogue and Marley are two souls looking for the same purpose, someone to love them unconditional and they find it in each other.
This is a new to me author and I found this book in Kindle Unlimited and I'm really glad I did.
I really liked this book. I liked how it dealt with a tough subject but yet it kept it true to what someone would expect from a MC biker book.
I developed a little bit of a crush on Rogue. Here is this man who is gruff and bada#& who is seeing the beauty beneath the skin and how amazing this woman is.
A good quick read if you are looking for one. I usually don't go for the quick bit-sized stories as the are over before they start. Breast cancer survivor Marley Thomas, had visited the shop before receiving a tat from Rouge. From the moment he saw her until his gun drew the last part of the design, Rouge desired Marley. Now she back and he doesn't plan to let he walk away again.
A nice short story featuring Marley and Rogue. Rogue has fallen for Marley on sight. Rogue could see the Warrior Marley was trying to be before she could. Marley returns to Skin Sins and Rogue sees the opportunity before him and makes his move. Looking forward to reading the other artists in this series.
The sweetest, emotion filled story about a young woman surviving the dreaded Big C. Striving to feel beautiful again, Marley goes to Rogue, a tattoo artist who’s enraptured by her strength and beauty. The growly man and sassy woman sizzle so hot whenever they’re with each other as they both fight to love and to never give up. So good!!
I love instalove books!! This book was so sweet! Rogue saw Marley for the beautiful woman that she was. If only she believed it. No spoilers. I loved their story. And the epilogue was the perfect sedway into the next book. I highly recommend this book as well as the series. 5⭐'s all the way.
Rogue and Marley are the absolute cutest couple!!! I absolutely adore a great short read that feels like it’s a full novel. It takes a special author who can pack a shorter book with details and stories and not make it feel rushed. I LOVED the storyline, the super NSFW scenes are on fire and the HEA had me shedding happy tears. Loved it!!!
Marley and Rogue love story was different. Marley was a survivor of cancer and didn't feel like she was beautiful enough so she comes into Rogue Tattoo Shop and things change for the both of them. The story was beautiful and what I loved about this story was Jailaa made it where you were rooting for Marley and Rogue. I recommend this series.
Cherishing Her is an insta-love romance between Marley, a cancer survivor and Rogue, a tattoo artist. Both characters are warriors with visible scars. Their chemistry is off the charts and the sex is scorching. Rogue is an over-the-top alpha but he is also very caring to Marley. The book ends in a super sweet HEA.
I was expecting this to be short, but I was also expecting somewhat more of a story. Marley and Rogue barely know each other and immediately hook up and a few months later she's pregnant. There is some stuff with Marley having had cancer and Rogue having scars of his own, but that's pretty much the gist of the story.
Okay so this was a one day story, I really love Marley & Rogue, my only regret is this was not longer. I really wanted to know more, but short, sweet, and to the point did work.
Insta love story with a Awesome concept . I liked the characters but it didn’t really flow that well. Maybe if it was a longer story it would’ve given the characters a chance to mesh well.
Rogue and Marley story was different yet so romantic at the same time. Both Rogue and Marley were survivors and what I loved the most Jailla showed that beauty and looks is in the eye of the beholder. I can't wait for the next installment of this spicy series.
A very quick, very hot, and very insta lust/love. Marly is a breast cancer survivor that doesn't feel beautiful. Rogue sees beyond the survivor, finding her strong and beautiful. I loved the surprise ending!
I was looking for an insta-love read before diving into a series, but I couldn't get into this story.
Around 20% in, I was like, Meh, and I skimmed the rest. I obviously missed something the author was trying to convey. But I didn't get it. I wish I liked it more.
Absolutely loved the story line and main characters. My only issues was the jumping between first person and third person during the same dialogue. And that isn’t back, just took me a minute to understand what happened.
I want everyone to have the chemistry of these two! Also, for their future to stay free from the big C and for them to have all the happy they can fit into their lifespan!
The MMC in this book was🥵! Loved the way he just made Marley his and wasn’t letting go! He was so sincere and honest with his feelings and he just won me over bad boy and all! What a fun read!
