listen. i almost didn't rate these on goodreads because i was content to let the fact go to the grave with me that i did indeed read the first four books (eh, novellas) of this series all in one night.
when i say i want depraved amounts of smut in a book, this is what i'm talking about!!! quick pacing and a sprinkling of plot, but the rest is pure sex. each novella reads swiftly with enough set-up to get your oriented with the world, but the rest is history. each book has a different pairing, both with gender and magical creatures, as well as a new set of kinks and preferences. in a ten book series, i think you'd find something you like. unless you skip sex scenes in books, in which case, move along lol.
if you're into kathryn moon but want something shorter and more porn than plot, i'd recommend these. [tiktok voice] it's like a reward.

Yeah,.... wasn’t for me.
BUT! I will say that I loved the whole barista part of it. I wanted to love it but it was just,.... not for me. I like a good dark romance. But this wasn’t for me.
Something that could help it, in my eyes was a proofreader. Some easy to correct mistakes to make it read and flow better.
Otherwise, yeah,... just wasn’t for me.
Will I read another? Maybe. Because as I said, I love the barista part of it all. And I really wanted to enjoy the book. Oh well, you can’t love them all.

I’m not really sure on how I want to review this.
This book was recommended to me because monsters, sex and BDSM, which is my gravitational pull when it comes to erotica.
On one hand, I can understand what the author was trying to do, but on the other hand, I think it was executed badly. This book was hyped up to me, which put my expectations on high.
I was expecting intense, descriptive monster fucking, and what I really got was rushed, almost bland sex, yes, I’m using bland because I felt no spice while reading. I don’t want to use the word boring, because it wasn’t boring, but it’s the only word I can think of that can explain my feelings for this. I did not like it.
Props to the author though for writing something different, and for trying to give us freaks some content to quench our thirst.

Nothing much here. Instalove through and through. More fated mates, I guess? Especially for the incubus side of things. There really isn't much plot. And I didn't much care for how the vampire part was done. For multiple reasons.
Had some hot scenes though. Really appreciated the aftercare of such scenes as well. Easy, quick read. Probably pick up others. Really liked the Barista hit.

I loved the idea for LITTLE SLICE OF HELL with the mysterious Barista matchmaking monsters with humans but the execution wasn't the best. This is a novella so everything moves really quick and feelings emerge fast but that didn't really bother me. It was more the interactions between Peter and Dante just felt a little off and Dante was slipping over my tolerance line for over the top alpha, possessive characters. Additionally, where was the lube?? I don't usually comment on the mechanics of the sex itself but seriously, they never used lube and I'm supposed to believe Peter, a human, enjoyed Dante's monster (both in type and size) appendages without any issues?

This is the first book in the Creature Cafe series and features Dante and Peter. Dante goes to the Creature Cafe to meet with the Barista. Dante is an incubus demon and has specific tastes and kinks and he is hoping that the Barista will be able to find the other half of his soul because he is tired of searching after thousands of years.
The Barista sets Dante up with Peter who knows about monsters and has his own tragic past involving a monster. The two of them are incendiary together but while Dante wants eternity, Peter isn't so sure. When Peter's dangerous past catches up with him will Dante be able to save him and show him that eternity is worth fighting for?
I'm amazed that this short little novella felt like a full length novel. It was action packed, suspenseful and steamy as hell. I'll be honest...some of the steam in here went a little far for me in terms of what I find sexy but sometimes ya gotta step outside your comfort zone. If you like MM monster romances with some definite boundary pushing, then I recommend this!

I enjoyed this concept of a cupid barista and a creature cafe! The first pairing is a human and incubus demon. Definitely instalove with lots of detailed bedroom scenes. The plot lightly touches on Peter overcoming some of his past trauma and allowing himself to be loved again and opening himself to a trusting relationship.
The kink is a little bit much for me but I think it was my first read with choking and I will try anything at least once, haha. There’s a lot of sex in this book and it’s pretty short so the character depth isn’t super strong, but it’s enough to hold the story together. I think if you’re in the mood for a steamy monster read and you like some kink play you should give this one a go!
Overall I liked the writing, and will definitely be trying more from this series.

Holy Shit what did I stumble across? It’s no secret MM monster/human romances fascinate me. Lily Mayne’s Monstrous Series is my favorite and not just for the romance but the hot AF sex scenes with all the various appendages each monster has. But this book took the monster kinky sex theme and turned it on its head.
This series is about a Barista who has a talent of finding the perfect mates for monsters. This time an incubus named Dante was looking for his fated mate who happened to be a man named Peter. After their first date, Dante takes Peter to the park where he promptly fucks him with his tail and whisks him away to his mansion to do more kinky things.
Surprisingly, this book although short had more than just sex and I liked it a lot more than I thought I would. I couldn’t not pick this up like my curiosity wouldn’t let me walk on by but I am so glad because this was really good. The only negative for me was this got a bit cheesy with the instalove but they are fated mates… My favorite character was actually Ghost though. Adorable.
This has trigger warnings galore but if you like kink, monsters and want a quick read, I’d recommend this. This series looks like it won’t just be MM much to my disappointment but I’m probably going to read it anyways. Curious mind and all 😂

I saw the author on TikTok and decided to buy the book. I'm a sucker for monster/human relationships & erotica(or just monsters, aliens, supernatural creatures in general).
The beginning was so promising but at page 30-40 it went downhill...FAST. Didn't like it at all and thought about just quitting it then and there.
This whole, we are in love with no real reason and especially, the whole r*pe beackstory from Peter made me like "???". Also, the writing style went downhill... equally FAST.
Gonna quit the series at this point.
