Didn’t care for this one. Did not like the vampire Cornelius/Clark - for a master vampire I felt like we got nothing from him, until the last scene against the wolf pack. That claiming was finally something exciting. But for the most part, it was extremely surface and completely forgettable

Not a fan
Gotta admit, not a fan. This felt like a rough draft of an idea of a story. I definitely would not consider this a Daddy/boy book, everything was mentioned in passing. Plus there were not enough details, I have no idea what the 2MC's look like, except one is tall and the other grey in his hair with some previous laugh lines. Plus stuff tended to contradict itself, at one point they went out for dinner and then rushed home and the morning light was coming thru the window?
Not a fan, concept was there but the rest wasn't.

Cornelius is the Master of the vampire coven and he strives to keep the peace, build up their resources and ensure that the blood bank keeps everyone supplied. He watched his two high-ranking members find their forever Little which means surely it is his turn now? Wolf shifter Davenport is the son of a pack alpha but is not tough and unrelenting and certainly not prepared to mate with a female to produce offspring so he is shunned from the pack. When he finds the safe haven of Darkwood he is thrilled to be able to start again and be safe. Can Davenport find a way to overcome his shyness to trust the words of the man claiming to be his fated mate? And will Cornelius be able to show the Little that he's the perfect Daddy to care for him?
I really enjoyed this story with the gay wolf shifter who is nothing like what his father or pack hoped would lead them and the strong vampire who was both desperate for his little and determined to do whatever it took to take care of him. It was good that Davenport was so cautious - he had very high stakes and betrayal would have meant his life was over if he was forced to be what he clearly was not. Easy to read, feel and understand there were a lot of emotions in this story. This is an MM story with mature content and a BSDM-like DDLB dynamic.

This is the last of the Darkwood stories (so far.) This tells the story of Cornelius the leader of the Darkwood coven, and his desire for a mate. Davenport is a wolf shifter hiding from his pack. Davenport knows he cannot live up to the expectations of his aggressive pack, and flees trying to find a safe place. He comes to Darkwood and finds a job at the library. As a new member of Darkwood he is invited to meet the leader Cornelius. When Cornelius lays his eyes on Davenport, he knows they are mates, and makes it his mission to protect and ultimately claim him.

Love these Daddies
This is the last book in the series and I need more. Each book in the series was great although Florian doesn't have the same daddy vibe like Bailey and Cornelius. Cornelius and Davenport are the main characters in this book. Davenport is not your typical alpha wolf. He'd rather hug things out to solve problems , not knock people around. The showdown between Cornelius and Davenport's dad is the best! Make sure to read the whole series.

A run away wolf hiding from his pack. An Alpha pack leader not willing to give up his son. A lot of noise and attention seeking to win the fight. Plus lots of others that can make a difference. But it is the mating that makes it happen to Dave Davenport. And the shifter wolves leave after it becomes final. But there is always a surprise. Cassie meets her match.

So Good!
This was so good. I loved getting to know these guys. Darkwood is such a fascinating place. I especially love this mix of paranormals. Please tell me there will be more. Personally I think a spin off series centered around The Park mentioned in book to would be amazing.

This was quite an enjoyable read. I appreciated the bond between Cornelius (vampire) and Davenport (wolf) and Cassie was also a fascinating character. I liked the style of writing and the creativity involved with how to handle Davenport's father. The ending was also very passionate and sweet.

a nice twist of fate
I love how Master Clark handled that mean alpha!! Talk about rubbing his snout in it!! Perfection!!! Davenport is adorable and Cassie is the baddest B on the block!!

This is a great story with lots of sweet love. There is also an element of danger that needs to be overcome. Davenport has found the perfect place to start a new life. And Master Clark is a very lucky man.

This is a short story. Good enough to pass time. It has a daddy/little in it. Though it wasn't introduced properly, So if it was your first time reading Ageplay, you might find it a bit weird. It wasn't hardcore, so it wasn't so strange.
It also had shifters, vampires, and witches. I would've loved a combination of these to Ageplay; unfortunately, this book wasn't constructed well. It was too bad, but it's still a nice book to read.

Scenes for shock value
Meh. It was ok. Writing was ok. Characters were ok. Story was barely ok. World was cool. Daddy/boy was there but this isn't a Daddy/boy book. Climactic scene was just off and wrong.
