One bullet. That was all it took to change her life forever.

Life in Silver Forest has never been particularly exciting for Bella. In fact, outside of meeting her best friend Jacob, it’s always been her against the world.

Until fae started moving to town in droves, causing riots in the streets that she gets drawn into. But she’s never been the type to stand back and watch someone get abused.

It seems something is drawing the fae to Silver Forest, a pull that even she is starting to feel. The problem is that no one seems to know what it means.

With her life in chaos and an unexpected tragedy, Bella finds out more about herself than she knew was possible. And now she’s expected to revive a land she’s never even been to.

But can ordinary Bella do anything that the fae, with magic and knowledge, can’t do? She’s just an average girl after all...

This is a Reverse Harem romance intended for readers 18 and up.

Ok read

This is a really cool story! I love the whole fae who have lost their land and have to live among the humans who have a huge prejudice against them. The story started out good, but I felt the writing was a tad to juvenile for my taste. I'm guessing a new author? We have a brawl in the streets where 3 ppl died, two fae and one human, yet nothing comes of it? I found this really odd, some since even the cops have it out for the fae? We also have our H is is beyond amazing, humble and self sacrificing. Everyone is in awww of her, for cooking, washing her own dishes, and even knowing about things she went to school for. Jaws are dropping, and tears are falling everywhere. Its not a bad book, and if you can get passed everyone being amazing and such, this would definitely be a book for you.

Alright friends. This one was a rough read that I put down multiple times, I may be harsh so read on if you want. Spoilers?

My rule lately has been that I won't read a book that has lower than 3.5 on goodreads because Kindle unlimited has really been shoving some bad books at me. I love paranormal fated mates, and that can be done so so well, or be one of the worst things you pick up. Now this one leans more toward the latter.

Now I don't want to be overly harsh so I'll start with what I think was good enough to have two stars:
The plot is there buried deep. Broken lands, a hidden princess destined to be the savior, fae men. It's all there. (my critique later on this).
The main character has potential as well, she wasn't awful and she cares about those around her in some weird almost inherited from her parents level of caring even if she wasn't raised by them at all.

Now for why this got two stars:
The writing was not good....so many parts of the writing just made me set it down and decide whether or not to dnf.
1) The formatting for this one, we need more paragraph breaks and editing when the scenes jump as often as they do. Example: We meet River then it seems they have time jumped to being besties with her, but when we get a real timeline it's been a few days? confusing.
2) Emotion? never heard of it. We get multiple POVs and we get no real connection to the character or their real emotions it just falls so flat on paper. It makes the relationships disjointed and it makes it hard to root for the story or the love.

Overall, I think I need to stop reading Kindle unlimited recommendations. The surface level of this book is up my alley 100 percent. paranormal RH with fae and a strong female lead? Absolutely just read my other reviews, but I can't keep trying to read books that wouldn't be published if not for Amazon.

This book is to literature what peeps are to nutrition

description

The fmc is betrayed by someone early on and only knew this person a short time. At the same time that she discovered the betrayal she also finds her kings/mates which she met less than a day ago. One moment she is crying over the person who betrayed her and the next she is all in with men who are basically strangers. Personally I would hesitate to profess this king/mate life long can't get out of it situation at least a day or so to vet the relatively new people. I mean she was attracted to the person who betrayed and only knew him a few days maybe a week and he was going to do some bad things. Who knows what the almost strangers have planned.

The entire books seems to be written from a G/naive/gullible/simple minded viewpoint. Everything is done relatively simply with little in the ways of hurdles, conflicts, obstacles. For instance:

The person who betrayed the FMC was easily found out because that person was very considerate and waited to have a conversation with the evil mastermind until the FMC was around to overhear it. This occurred in the middle of night and after the FMC used the bathroom close by. The FMC was able to easily contain the person with the magic she only learned about a couple of days ago. Then the betrayer was confined and sent back to earth. Easy peasy, lemon squeezy! Only took a couple of pages for that entire situation to start and finish and most of it happened off screen so to speak.

description

The FMC has to accomplish some things to restore the realm. She quickly finds the first thing and deals with it. So simple... total child's play. Easy even though she only learned that she was fae and had magic a couple of days ago.

Same book under a different name

Not sure why it wasn't in the blurbs but this book is the same as another book under a different name. Can't remember what the name is and didn't know for sure if there weren't different things in the book.... But nope its exactly the same, just a different cover and prolly name since it would have been marked as read and I didn't recognize the cover.... Also I remember the finish of the whole story but this series isn't fully out yet... Sus. Any who it was an okay book.. Very fast pace and the fmc is very naive but tries her best I think... I feel iffy about it tbh. Not a book I could have seen myself reading twice if I'd known there wasn't any difference...🤷🏽‍♀️

Loved this one! I was intrigued by the idea of a princess hidden even from herself. Bella is tasked with saving the entire faerie realm, a land she knows exists but has never seen. Her entire life she's been raised as a human. Her days consist of school, work and time spent with her BFF, Jacob. Thrust into this new role only to discover she will be bound to four men who will be her mates and kings, she has a lot to learn and even more to do. Her four fae knights—Bowen, Emrick, Maddox, and Gerwyn—seem more than up to the task of helping her in this new world. This one clipped right along, getting me hooked, and I can’t wait for more!

I was really excited for this book because it sounds intriguing with lots of mystery surrounding our main character and what role she will really play. But this book was a little too quick to answer these questions.

I wanted my questions to last the series but instead they were almost immediately answered in this first book.

I wanted to connect with the characters and the first couple of chapters I had high hopes but I wasn’t really able to dive into this story the way I wanted to. About half way through I started skimming instead of reading.

Not sure if I just read this at a time where I was burned out by the very popular tropes this story holds. But I didn’t immediately pick up book two after closing this one which really tells a lot about how invested I was to see where these characters go next.

I might pick it up again in the future and see if it was just bad timing. But for now I’m good with where I left this story even if it isn’t finished.

The writing is not perfect and the plot is kind of obvious with characters that are not very deep, but I am somehow still entertained. I don't understand it. In theory, if this were another book with similar criticism, I would be DNFing the series because I only want to invest time reading what I love. I don't foresee this being more than a 3-3.5 star series for me as i tend to enjoy this author's fantasy/paranormal books at the start of series but I end up DNFing them for various reasons. And yet, I am actually the same kind of curious/excited to read the next book as I am when reading a 5 star series. I dont get it, it makes no sense to me. So I am counting this as a win for vibes and continuing on as long as that lasts.

Hmmm - okay

The novel was just really boring, not a lot of world development, and character development was really superficial - I didn't/couldn't get emotionally invested at all - I thought it was just starting slow, then a got to the 45% mark and was wondering what I was missing, then got to the 60% mark at which point I started just skipping a few paragraphs to see if it got better, then pages, and then just stopped trying and stopped reading at about 80% through - waste of reading time
Just felt like a novel written by a very talented mid-teen - which isn't saying much if you'd like to feel anything - just a story tale told

Not bad read at all quiet a story

I found it a bit disturbing in the beggining to have the famous vampnames on the BFF but otherwise not a bad szory. I found sometimes here and there that my mind is travelling elswhere meaning that some part just couldnt make me focus and concentrate but overall quiet entertaining. A was a bit of a shock especially after reading his own toughts at the beggining and it was so strange how his character has been “changing” suddenly. It was confusing. But Wyn is my fav so Im sure to pick up B2!

I was immediately drawn into the story, and read it in one go. I love the characters and the world building of both the human realm, and the fae. It's fast paced without feeling like it's rushed. Was Bella's adapting to huge changes relatively effortless? Yes, though that is one of the only things that was a little problematic for me. I am thrilled that this looks to be a pretty rapid release series, because I am ready for book two.

This book should be in a dictionary next to 'wasted potential' definition 😩 it could have been soooo good and ended up being meh😐 every possible twist and curve ended up being a small bump instead of a mountain to climb over, every character who started displaying any depth and made me hope just sputtered out like freaking fart pillow!! And a cherry on top 🍒🎂 the insta love 🤮🤮🤮 and a whipped cream on top of that cherry?! EDITING!!

Bella has a big heart and cares for the downtrodden. In her college town that’s the fae. The amount of racism from humans at the fae is very reflectant of the society we live in today. It’s only when saving someone else she discovers that she’s fae herself. Not only that but a daughter of two different royal courts. She has a destiny to restore the fae and faerie itself. There’s deceptions, dramas, and loves. What more could you ask for.

This was fun!!!!

I loved this book! It was a fun and quick read. All of the elements are there, including a little reverse harem love. It doesn't leave you hanging, but gives a great setup for two, because by the end, you genuinely want to know what happens next. The characters are believable, the lead isn't a whiney idiot and I love that they're problem solving together. Can't wait to start the next in the series!

Fated Fae

Just meh. I could only get about 30% through before I gave up. There’s not a lot of depth to the characters or story. The MC talks like she’s known new characters and their personality for a while and then you find out it’s only been a day since they met. Might be entertaining for some but I prefer more substance and character building than where this story seemed to be heading.

I like where this is going! Basically a blue collar working girl’s fantasy. And I’m here for that. FMC works a boring job that’s just enough to keep her in her own apartment. The only excitement, her best friend. But wait, there’s more! Fae start flooding into her town. There goes her boring life! Hello Fae and Faerie!

Book started out ok. Just kinda slid into 2 star territory from there. No relationship building..just insta love and everything felt very juvenile. The story could be good but it didn't feel very fleshed out. Everything is solved or explained within a few chapters. Nothing ever seems like its a challenge.

Perky with a side of betrayal!

This was a cute book. There wasn’t much depth to the feelings of the fmc (single pov), but the plot and creativity kept my attention. It want until 3 quarters of the way through the book that the fmc found her potential kings. I liked how the spirit of fairie spoke and guided her. It was an enchanting read.

I am enjoying the start of this series so far. I really love Bella's personality, she is very emotionally and morally strong; as well as ridiculously loyal to those she cares for.
I wish I could say that Allwyn was a surprise.. but I kind of had a feeling he wasn't 100% committed.
I am interested enough to read book 2 because I am excited for the next adventure.

I love all things fae, so picking up this book was a given as soon as I heard about it. I love the world that Jarica has built. It’s unique, and yet, so similar to our own world that it hurts. This book was a great setup for the series, and I’m curious how it will all play out. Looking forward to diving into the next one.

This is the first book in a new series. And I loved it. When four fae Knights have come into Bella's and ask her to come back with them to help save their world what can go wrong? This book was amazing and I can't wait for book two.

Plot took a hard left out of no where

Seriously.... Bizarre choice in who the evil is && doesn't really make sense. Seems like 70% of the book the plot was one way && then realized ope I need a traitor. Couldn't finish.

A journey

The one thing I really like about true storytellers is their ability to carry you along for a bumpy journey. This isn't about smut just because it's a RH there is an actual plot, I'm delighted. I didn't skip pages, didn't roll my eyes for me that's a full recommend.

Fantastic story, entertaining and enjoyable. Does get emotional in parts. Ending isn't quite a cliffhanger, more like a small hill. Can't wait for more.
