Reeling from the events that revealed other witches were behind the attack on Reuben and Caspian, the White Haven witches don’t know who to trust.
The search for those who betrayed them tests their resources and their abilities, and as the fallout shatters alliances, they draw on their friends for support.
But it’s not easy. The path they follow is dark and twisted and leads them in directions they can’t predict.
Knowing who to trust is the only thing that may save them.
Grab the ninth book in the White Haven Witches series now, but be warned, nothing is as it seems…
I'm a writer, a pagan, and a witch, and consequently love all things magical. I write fictional books about witchcraft and the paranormal, and they are jam-packed with fabulous characters, colourful settings, plenty of action, and lots of humour.
I was born in England, in the Black Country, but moved to New Zealand in 2006. I lived near Wellington with my partner Jase, and my cats Sacha and Leia. However, in April 2022 we moved again! Yes, I like making my life complicated… I’m now living in the Algarve in Portugal, and loving the fabulous weather and people. When I’m not busy writing I read lots, indulge in gardening and shopping, and I love yoga.
Confession time! I’m a Star Trek geek – old and new – and love urban fantasy and detective shows. Secret passion – Columbo! Favourite Star Trek film is the Wrath of Khan, the original! Other top films – Predator, the original, and Aliens.
In a previous life I was a singer in a band, and used to do some acting with a theatre company. For more on me, check out a couple of my blog posts. I have also written a blog about how I finally became comfortable about calling myself a witch. It's called Leaning into my Witch.
By this, the 9th book in the White Haven Witches series the white haven witches have become like family, so during this, the darkest book so far one can imagine how I felt reading the book. I was on the edge of my seat and biting my nails right till the very end, as our coven of good witches is facing off with a number of witches who have gone really bad and are out to grasp power at whatever cost. And the cost is great as innocent people are killed in the fray and a number of witches end up dead by the end too. Everyone is involved in solving the mystery behind the theft of Coppinger's gold, but the ghost buster team prove most helpful as do the paranormal cops, the Nephilim and the witches from the grand coven who get involved in forming a hunt team. Mariah, Zane, Lowen and Harry are unscrupulous in their methods and do not care if people get killed as long as they get their way, however they are not working alone and our white haven coven have to find out who is the double agent in their midst and act fast before it is too late for all of them. I really love Hunter's input too as he does not think twice when called to kill to protect his friends. The danger levels in this book are extreme but I really enjoyed the dark slant the story took and loved the way our witches handled the danger, as always looking after each others' backs. As always I Look forward to the next book, and would be quite devastated if the series where to come to an end.
Ok, so as the title suggests, here we go, book nine of the White Haven Witches!!
This book carried on with what started in book eight, Vengeful Magic and we find out the who, where, when and finally why everything happened book eight!! So when.......and.......did.....But then..... Damn I can't say other I'd be putting spoilers here, there and everywhere. But what I can say is, as normal TJ has written another magical (yes pun intended) novel, with her usual mixture of one liners, quick wits and fast, full on action, that we have all come to love and expect from an author of her calibre. I'd recommend this book to any one and every one and it's worth every penny, pound, dimes, dollars or euros!! So if you want all of the above with all of the magic of the covens mixed in, then this is definitely for you!! So what are you waiting for?? Go now and press that buy button and join the community of White Haven and get mixed up in all the magical fun that's out there!! 😉😉
This is book 9 in the White Haven Witches series and it comes very close to being my favorite one yet. The gloves are off in this one, the White Haven coven have been growing in their powers and abilities and I feel as if there is still plenty for them to discover about themselves but they have been so busy for the past year or so, trying to protect their town and the people they care about they haven't had as much experimental time as they need. This book is no exception, the covens around them are changing and not always for the better. The twists in this plot were incredible and some I wasn't expecting at all. This is the one where everything pivotal starts shifting, no, I won't expound on that as i don't do spoilers but be prepared to be shocked and amazed in this one. To say I enjoyed reading this one, would be an understatement of humongous proportions. This definitely gets my 5 star vote and I am adding it to my collection!
In this, the 9th Book of the Whitehaven Witches we start where we left off in “Vengeful Magic.” Now it is time to put a stop to the rogue witches before they work any more dark magic and inflict any major damage to their Coven. They will need to pit their wits and magic to prevent their Coven being taken over. The question is who can the Whitehaven Witches really trust? Are there more traitors within the Coven and if so, who are they?
As always, I really enjoyed this book but felt it there was a tiny piece of magic missing compared to T J’s previous books. I can’t explain what I mean but I decided to start to read again T J’s first book, “Buried Magic” and it was then that I realised that there was a tiny spark missing from “Chaos Magic.”
Nevertheless it is still worth 4 Stars from me and I look forward to entering the world of magic again.
Chaos magic is an appropriate title. It's very well portrayed and with all the gang playing their parts, it's fascinating.
The White Haven Witches have to deal with the unrest within their own coven. The plot is well described and knowing who to trust becomes more and more difficult. There are some power greedy members who want to overthrow their coven. It's a ploy that has been long in the making. They all come together to fight this ploy which is dangerous. People are killed, but the evil ones don't seem to care as long as they achieve what they have set out to do. Will Avery, Alex and the other teams manage to stop their well laid out plot in time?
It's fast and furious without a dull moment. It's nice to see all their friends playing a role in stopping the disaster. This series has grabbed my attention from the beginning and I must admit that it gets better with each installment.
Wow wow wow, Brilliant, I couldn’t put it down, when you say they keep getting better you think yer yer, but oh my this has to be the best book ever. I think that Zee is now my favourite character from Whitehaven I love that the Nephilim’s are becoming stronger, in this series as well as their own. The story had me on the edge of my seat, and I felt it get really tense, I was a little scared about what was going to happen but had to keep reading to find out. I love that the story is being written from all the characters perspective, you get to know those character so much better T J Green is a wonderful writer, and I can’t wait for more books in the series.
I feel this book really ties all the characters together more. I love how relationships are forming amongst the group. Avery and Alex have to find out who tried to kill Caspian and Rhueban along with the rest of their coven set out to find those they think responsible along with their policeman friend Newton. When things don't go as planned and they have to rely on information from their parafriends when plans go on a different tangent. I felt this was one of the best books I've read in a while. I can't wait for the next ride that this author takes us on.
TJ Green has done it again! This darker White Haven Witches Book keeps you reading until the end, on the edge of your seat! Three people and a dog are dead, killed I Mariah & Zane who are in the thick of the evil surrounding White Haven. Cornwall coven and others are helping the White Haven coven and the Paranormal Police led by Newton, to firstly find them, then mete out their just desserts. Why did they leave the treasure behind? Where are they? Read this book if you already know the series and especially if you have not read any you will be booked!
Reeling from the events that revealed other witches were behind the attack on Reuben and Caspian, the White Haven witches don’t know who to trust. The search for those who betrayed them tests their resources and their abilities, and as the fallout shatters alliances, they draw on their friends for support. Our coven of good witches is facing off with a number of witches who have gone really bad and are out to grasp power at whatever cost. The best in the series yet. Lots of action ,this book will have you on the edge. Really exciting do not miss this book.
Absolutely stunning!! Thank you TJ for another brilliant book! I loved it from the first line!! I knew it was going to be great when I saw what was going on ! Plus Litha and Summer Solstice are special to me . I was very surprised who the main ‘villain’ of the piece was but utterly amazed at the fighting spirit (no pun intended) of all of the Witches. I’m saying no more, if you haven’t read this series of books be you Wiccan, Druid, or interested in the paranormal READ them!!! What are you waiting for 🤣🤣!!
In the 9th installment of the White Haven Witches saga, the central group of magical friends and romantic couples must investigate to discover as quickly as possible who the traitors are in their extended regional coven. They don’t want to kill anyone and to permanently bind their powers is considered a fate worse than death, but the human justice system is not equipped to contain them. They are forced to take more drastic measures, but must learn whom they can trust. Fans will not be disappointed.
In the 9th book the White Haven Witches are trying to figure out what their rouge Witches have planned with the pirate treasure they stole and what the planetary alignment will play into their plans. To stop them, they need the help of the other coven members but they don't know who is friend or foe! Another great book in the series. Lots of action, great characters and keeps you guessing until the end. I can't wait for the next installment!
Cornwall Coven, a conglomeration of local covens, comes under severe attack and the White Haven Witches coven explores who is behind it, why and how to stop them. This incredible journey into magic and it's issues with those who misuse it is a wonderful series. I love seeing how the witches learn and grow as well as the dynamics of all the various characters from witches to fallen angels. Highly recommended!
I read this in one day! What can I say it has to be the best yet ! The characters never fail to please ! The book is well written and explores the characters and expands on them. I have read the whole series once again during lockdown ! I can highly recommend this book and this author! I don’t do spoilers but I will say it can be read as a stand alone book. Once read I can guarantee you will want to read the whole series and the spin off books !
This is a wonderful addition to this thrilling series! Wonderful well written plot and story line that had me engaged from the start. Love the well fleshed out characters and found them believable. Great suspense and action with wonderful world building that adds so much to the story. Such a thrilling read that I couldn't put it down. Can't wait to read more of these. Recommend reading.
I read a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest review.
Chaos Magic is full of plot twists and characters- I can describe little here for fear of spoilers. Chaos Magic is the end of a plot theme and many questions are answered. This is a gripping thriller which sees many characters in all their glory, and developing as the story goes on. Lots of twists and turns and also full of suspense. The who, what when, why and how don’t become clear until the very end. Tracey Green has excelled herself and is one of our top story tellers.
PLEASE NOTE! A review is not a recounting or synopsis of the story!!! It is an opinion of the QUALITY of the story!
And this story was top notch! I wouldn’t have put it down at all if I didn’t have to lead a Beltane ritual this evening! (I could not resist finishing it as soon as I got home though.)
This is definitely going to be on my list of “will read again” books/series.
What an amazing next book in the series! The characteristic twists and turns that this author can produce are cracking! New characters and new ideas bring everything together for the white haven bunch, setting the stage for a truly awesome read. The series and spin offs are unique amongst a lot of witchy novels, they carry a stamp of authenticity that can only be TJ Green :)
As the summer solstice approaches, the necessity of hunting down evil-doing rebels leads the White Haven witches and their allies down some dark pathways, and this is upsetting to them and to their police liaison. Still, a witch's gotta do what a witch's gotta do, right? Lots of drama, deception, death, and explosive action, but a rather sombre chapter.
Just finished Chaos magic (No.9 in the series). I love the white haven witches and this book didn’t disappoint. Gripping story from start to finish with all the familiar characters. I tried to pace myself and read it slowly but that didn’t happen. Just need to wait for next one now. 😁
Where to begin? This book was a lot darker than previous books. I couldn’t put it down. The action was non stop and so many different threads to follow. The last thirty minutes of the book had me pacing the floor while reading. I can’t recommend this book highly enough, you need to read it. Must have the next one soon.
I have read this book and giving my honest review: Oh my goodness what a great book from start to end. On the edge of my seat Could not put it down , wanted to know what was going to happen next. Witches, magic adventure, it had it all. You really can see and feel the book. I love the angels, not spoiling you really have to read for yourself. Cannot wait to start the next adventure
Brilliant storyline, it is a fantastic series that would translate effortlessly to the screen. Memorable characters and so much magic, mayhem and tension.
I highly recommend this series and this book to everyone, especially those that love fantasy, lovers of Tolkien.
Following the removal of the pirate's gold, Avery Hamilton and her friends realize that there is some unusual witch activity going on. It appears that some members of the large Cornwall coven have gone rogue. It is difficult to know who can be trusted. This book probably has the most magical violence of any in this series. It is also the final book.
Great! The witches have a hard time this go round. A strong alignment of planets, mid-summer festivities, some rogue witches and lots of magic make for a very good story. I received this as an ARC and enjoyed it very much.
TJ does it again! Chaos Magic continues the story from the point that Vengeful Magic left off. The plot twists and turns as the witches go up against formidable opposition and I literally couldn't put it down. Thanks for another great read TJ. Can't wait for the next one
Deceit! In this entertaining book, the Cornwall Coven is under attack from within. The witches don't know who to trust. There is a lot of double crossing and plotting going on, in this unpredictable story with wonderful characters.
Chaos Magic is what is was.. pure chaos. The White Haven Witches were dealt with non stop action until the enemies were defeated. Wonderful writing that kept me interested just like the rest of the series.
All our favourite team of Witches are here and getting up to mischief. A terrible threat happens and they have to get all the Cornish Covens to help. Our heroines and hero’s do most of the work naturally but we all know that they are the best!
