An intriguing and engaging start to a series. I haven’t read anything by this author before and so I was unsure of what to expect. What I got was a rollercoaster of a book. This is fantasy at its best. There’s mystery, drama and adventure. The plot line captures the reader from the first page right through to the end. I’m already excited to know what happens next in the storyline.
The characters are great, and although at times their actions irritate there is a realness to them that shines through in those moments. I particularly like Mae and hope to see more of her in future books.

This book started off perfect! You instantly knew something was up. You fell in love with all the characters. Finding out each characters purpose in the book and how they are all relevant to the main character.

It did seem to suddenly go super fast to the point where the last quarter felt rushed.. however, this was still an incredible book to read and I can't wait for book 2!

Mais um da série “sou adolescente, descobri que tenho poderes, e tenho de salvar o mundo”. Não deixa de ser interessante, mas fica um pouco repetitivo.
